On some motorcycles, the brake plates you are struggling with go in first (upside down from what you were showing) and are locked in by the two bolts (which come in afterwards). Good luck!

those wing nut are made to fit a bar,so you can really honk-em up

the spring is probably installed the hook end facing out? seems like it at first glance...
I think I did try it both ways, but I will give it another shot after I finish the body and paint. Thanks!
correct. You place the spring in first and then slide the pins in over the spring
on the EV, that's only thing you going to hear - brake pads chatter :( I had similar issue.
Yes, once I have it on the road as an EV, I will hear all of the body creaks and brake noise. I'm sure I will be tweaking these brakes again.
