I run ads, doesn't work that way. If you don't want them to show you're best turning ads off for right now. Advertisers bid in a number of ways on ad space, and as a content creator on TH-cam you unfortunately do not have control over this. Best to turn ads off for this video if they are showing.

In my twenties, I used to get asked "When did you decide to be gay?" It was probably the most asked question when I'd meet new straight people. I'm 48, almost 49, now and it's been a while since I've heard that question.

I get asked the same thing about being bisexual at college. It’s very annoying. I usually follow up with something like, “Did you choose to be straight?”, “Did you choose to be tall/short?”, or “Did you choose the color of your eyes?”. After I clap back with one of those questions, they get the point.

Andrew, thank you for this video. Those are indeed some uncomfortable questions. This is a difficult time in our history, and I just want you to know that talking about gay questions in a light hearted yet straight forward way, really helped my mood. My best friend and his husband work at a medical clinic on an army base. Yesterday, they had 6 medics in his unit come down with covid. They are getting tested today. I'm praying for them.
By the way, in the Bible there is a story of a Roman soldier who goes to Jesus and tells him that his servant is sick and asks Jesus to heal him. Jesus says to him, to go back to his servant, he is already healed. In those times, the word for servant for a soldier would be the same as our using the word "boyfriend." So, Jesus didn't care. He just wanted to show the faith of the soldier, and heal his boyfriend.

Typically, they will answer that with, "Well, sleeping with a woman is normal." They look at it like inertia. If no outside force acts upon you, you're heterosexual.

I don't understand why so many gay people are offended by the top or bottom question. People are curious, and just trying to understand. I would much rather they ask than to make assumptions. If asked I will tell them much more than they wanted to know. I will tell them about a lifetime of versatility in that department, the progression, and how different people bring out different desires. Also, about the importance of trying to be open to the desires of your partner.

Im atheist now, but I grew up in a lutheran household: No, the bible does not condemn homosexuality, and there are many instances of homosexuality overlooked by the men who wrote their biases into passages. Jesus didn’t spend time walking around telling us to hate or change gay people; quite the opposite. Jesus ate, conversed, and talked to people who were considered outcasts at the time - and asked his followers to care for one another. Even though I don’t believe in a god any more, I still like to study the Ancient World, and the different theologies of the world.

When I first came out as bisexual my college friend's younger sister asked me "Do you switch off liking guys and girls on different days? Like guys on Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun and girls on Tues, Thurs, Sat?."
My immediate response was "If you enjoy chocolate and caramel and are in the mood to enjoy some caramel but you happen to see a really nice piece of chocolate you better bet believe you're going to have that chocolate."
Too bad I identify as gay now and this great analogy goes to waste.

The Bible apparently doesn't condemn loving same-sex relations despite the common misperception. Check out "For the Bible Tells Me So." Also, I would ask anyone who holds this belief if they've read it in its entirety, including the two major translations, but not get antagonistic with them. As a gay man I don't mind this kind of questions, but it's true that some of them just sound stupid. Questions like "is it a choice?" or "how do you know you are gay?". For me it sounds like "since you are gay, does two plus two equal five for you, or is it still four?" Please use your brain.
It's honestly so hard to be gay. You have to act some type of way, give yourself some some type of title, and it's so hard to find someone

20 years ago when I came out and started to “Hook up”. When I would get in conversations with guys. I’ve noticed the top questions were always. Top or Bottom? Cut or Uncut? BB or Safe? Age? Harry or smooth? Once we got through these then we proceeded to wanting to hook up.

I’m gay and I completely agree. I am a guy and neither of us would be the “woman”. I hate that question so much. It basically asserts that gays have to conform to straight gender norms. The LGBTQ community is full of infinite genders aka a spectrum of femininity to masculinity. Sex is not gender-sex is your sex part. Most people don’t understand that. I also think being strictly top or bottom is limiting. It can be nice to do either if both of you are willing to try both out. Sometimes I’ve played more of one role than the other depending on the guy I am with in a relationship. As a gay man, I am not a Christian because it simply doesn’t leave room or a place for me because my very nature of being gay is “sinful” and that just isn’t the reality we live in. We are gay just as someone is straight. I have never wanted to be with a woman, therefore, I am gay. Sexual pleasure could possibly, in a very limited way, happen with a woman, but the very idea turns me off 100% completely. I think you have to find attraction visually to have it sexually be appealing. A woman to me doesn’t look attractive. I think she can be pretty and have a nice body, but sexually I desire men. I desire every part of their body, depending on who we are talking about. I like the way a man has nice, firm legs, short hair, hair in the right places, a penis, often firm and tight bottom, and the smell of a man is very appealing. The way a man asserts himself, talks, and even the cockiness of their personalities really stand out to me. Women have never been attractive in anyway to me. I guess it comes naturally to us whether we like men or women, regardless of the fact you have a penis or vagina.

I noticed one of the questions was about the Bible condemning gay people. There is much misinformation about that. I am gay and I was injured deeply by religion. That caused a lot of dangerous views of myself and other people of faith. However, I never stopped believing in God and a relationship with Him. Hope in Him has been something I turned to many times when nobody embraced or affirmed me - not even the gay community. Holding onto the belief that I am a perfect, one of a kind creation has kept me from harming myself when I was considering ending it all.
People wondering might want to check out Matthew Vines’ book “God and The Gay Christian” and/or check out reformationproject.org there are great resources and books to check out.
Whoever your are and wherever you fall within the spectrum, like GAGA says you’re on the right track baby you are born this way. The overall message of the Bible is LOVE and redemption. The wrong people have manipulated it to teach hate. Don’t disregard it as a way to connect with God. Just like Buddha is a path, so is Christianity- TRUE Christianity.

I realized I was gay when I was 24 and then came out at 27. I have some friends who are in their 30s married and they are not out. It is a long process and I give you a hug for just being there. One of my friends was married twice and two kids and then came out in his 40s. He is still not out to his son. Nowadays I live by myself so most are able to put 2 + 2 together.
Come out when you’re ready. There’s no rules that dictate a time or age that you’re required to come out. Don’t listen to anyone who tries to tell you otherwise. The only person who gets to decide when you come out is you. Listen to your heart, follow with your intuition, and go with your gut. You’ve got this!
