RIGHT?! I don’t know what’s Sal issue with Waldron with that info being out and public prior to the release of Multiverse of Madness. Then again it’s Sal and Sal hates everything.
I actually disagree that villain stories are a bad idea. Sony’s given them a bad name by making bad superhero movies with villain characters, but it’s not difficult to imagine a dark, Noir story following a villain character, maybe featuring a character like Batman as an antagonist or secondary character. Joker didn’t work because it’s just Joker, Joker worked because it pulled from movies like Taxi Driver which doesn’t need to have a superhero in it to stop the flawed, jacked up Travis Bickle. I obviously don’t want to see a Penguin show where Penguin becomes an anti-hero like Venom or Morbius; but I wouldn’t mind seeing a Gangster Noir film starring the Penguin, similar to Scarface or The Godfather.
To also talk about Marvel Events if we go by line wide events the last real ‘line event’ is Empyre cause War of The Realms was just the Aaron Thor finale, same with King in Black. AXE has some more legs cause with Marvel events you can in fact usually skip them cause they’ve just been either isolated to their corner of the universe or have been just big finales. But AXE gets to carry more weight and be more appropriated cause it’s an actual line wide event
58:35 it's kind of like what they did for Heihachi in the Tekken games they hired an old guy play The voice he died off so then they had another old guy who was also famous and he did voices from a bunch of other things like Mr Satan/Hercule in Dragon Ball then he died too so now they got another one
As long as it’s a variant version like what they did with Loki Loki gets a death in Infinity War and a show afterwards, maybe Stark gets a similar treatment
To be fair, Feige said a loooooooooooong time ago, like far from home time...that post Endgame that Spidey would be the face of the MCU....pretty sure thats what its going to be. He tends to get what he wants. Also I think a lot of Sony's antics are down to whats really allowed in those updated contracts. I think the original idea was to have Spidey be A and Black Panther be B as far as the new Tony/Cap but now....they have a LOT to choose from. Likely will still be Spidey leading into Avengers....but after this multiverse is over..u can have it be X-men/FF/Silver Surfer as far as whoever strikes a chord most w/ the audience and marketing.
I am totally fine with Reeves doing movies about Batman's rogues, IF Batman is the antagonist of each film. That way we're furthering Pattinson's Batman in his exploits and his world, but also developing the villains into interesting characters, without hindering the amount of villains we can have to just main ones in the Batman primary films. If he isn't the antagonist of each film then I'm significantly less interested cause ultimately I want to see Pattinson's Batman going toe to toe with as many villains and building as much history as possible.
I haven't been reading AXE but now I want to after this kinda-review. Can I just hop into it without ever having read an Eternals book and Jason Aaron's Avengers? I also dropped all the X titles after Inferno, so I'm behind on those books too.
Harrison Ford is an insane pick for Thunderbolt Ross. Maybe it wouldn't have been too bad 20 years ago in Ang Lee Hulk, or even for 2008 Incredible Hulk, but now? No. He loves the character of Indiana Jones, and I'm sure that he enjoyed playing Han Solo on set, but he definitely hates that he's only really known for those two roles most, he's known to just take jobs for money, and it's weird that he would come into the MCU and it not just be a one-off bit. That contract must have been phenomenally well in his favor and/or they promised to kill him off at the end of the movie.
There's probably another reason why they. Cast Harrison - likeness rights. Disney, as I understand it, has basically paid all the OG Star Wars folks to digitally recreate them in future projects ad nauseum. Soo, when our new Ross passes, they're gonna pull a Rogue One with his laser scanned corpse.
I can guarantee that if the harrison ford as general ross thing is true, he will not do any of the cg stuff that mark rufflo, titiana maslany or even josh brolin had to do, he'll play ross and voice red hulk
To further the Dark Crisis discussion. Consider how it opened, with the JL DYING, that should be huge, but it hasn't mattered at all for the line because every issue coming out has had an asterisk saying "takes place before/after Dark Crisis," so it just feels like DC itself has just entirely neutered Williamson's effort. I'm a softie on this event, I like it a bit more than some others, but it's still really frustrating as a reader.
The problem with DC events right now is that dark crisis has had a bunch of stories that were a lead up to it like justice incarnate and such and it was all bad. Snyders stuff was at least fun. Dark Crisis has no stakes, no overall story leading up to something, just bad.
Dark crisis would’ve been so much cooler if it was just Justice league Incarnate and it was wholly separated from Earth 0 so there can be stakes and consequences without feeling cheap or ham fisted
Bringing back Downey as Iron Man in something like Secret Wars would be great if they followed up with an Iron Man 4 where the world Tony is in has gotten so much crazier than what we had back in Iron Man 1. The movie could be bombastic and have a little bit of everything and you know that would sell!! ;) Jon Favreau directs of Course 8)
Is it me or did Benny's mic not working as it usually is? I heard him fine there was no major issues, I just wanna make sure I'm not going crazy, he sounds weird.
I want to say Jason Aaron or Al Ewing But for me the real events are the Hickman stuff even if they don’t count as events Secret wars, hox and dox, are the ones not only are the other marvel events skippable but they’re normally quite horrible even if they come from a writer I like (War for asgard/war of the realms, king in black, hotel inferno, didn't care and king in black is just donnycates doing Aaron's Malacath{renamed/designed to be Knull} and war of the realms, again) @Sal, they released Teen titans go, they're very rich and they don't care that much just enough to keep their golden positions,(asleep at the wheel)
Super-Sons was....a movie. Didn't care for Clark's voice and the it was predictable. WB animation used to be the only way to get a GOOD DC movie. And Black Adam was okay....I guess.
Unless somehow Geoff John’s breaks back into his old office and kicks I dunno, Joshua Williamson or whoever gets to run the line, out and is able to direct the line again I would completely ignore whatever John’s is saying
I just don't care about multiverse altering DC events anymore. We've had like four in the last decade. And they seem to be happening with exponentially increasing frequency. I'm just exhausted. Give me an event that is terrestrial. Where the stakes are limited to earth. Or just stop doing huge events for a few years and actually let the characters fucking breathe for five minutes before you throw their world into chaos so we actually give a shit.
honestly man i havent seen any of the tom holland spiderman movies in full yet with the first one being the only one ive seen more than 20minz of .. i guess for i jus dont lik the new spidey at all🤷🏾♂️
The MCU missed an opportunity with Iron Man post Endgame. For years off and on in the comics Rhodey was Iron Man; during the original Secret Wars it was Rhodey in the suit. They should have crippled/retired Tony to an advisor position and given Rhodey the red&gold and let him do his thing all over phase 4 and 5.
Maybe these giant movie studios need to adopt a ''like'' or ''dislike'' system, seeing as how the amount of views you get doesn't correlate to whether or not the content was enjoyed. Morbius made money, people watched She Hulk......barely anyone enjoyed those. Everyone wanted to see this type of content, so we tuned in. That doesn't mean the quality of that content was compelling or interesting or what we actually wanted to see.
Waldron wrote MOM on a rushed schedule. He also wrote Loki season 1 and possibly season 2. Based on that, I’m excited for Secret Wars.
He just an executive producer for S2.
RIGHT?! I don’t know what’s Sal issue with Waldron with that info being out and public prior to the release of Multiverse of Madness. Then again it’s Sal and Sal hates everything.
I love a good Sal Ranting About Sony's Spider-Man Movie Division segment
33:18 henry cavill returns as superman
47:41 rdj returns for secret was
56:57 harrison ford casted as thunderbolt ross
Thank you.

Next time they hang with Doc Strange, they can put the Snowglobe next to the Faberge Egg of the Amalgam universe.

Eternals helps with context, but you don't need to read Avengers at all.
Sal's right. Tom Holland - Iron Spider, let's go!
Harrison Ford is an insane pick for Thunderbolt Ross. Maybe it wouldn't have been too bad 20 years ago in Ang Lee Hulk, or even for 2008 Incredible Hulk, but now? Mike Flanagan actually wanted to make a clayface movie, but DC turned it down.
A Clayface movie would be fantastic, no matter which version they use.
Benny, same I still haven’t watched Moribus 😂😂😂 . This coming from the guy who loves the 90’s Super Mario Bros. Movie and Spider-Man Unlimited.
Tell me how I follow all of these channels, pages, etc and somehow missed that a super sons movie was even being made lol
Clay face movie is Darkman.
I can guarantee that if the harrison ford as general ross thing is true, he will not do any of the cg stuff that mark rufflo, titiana maslany or even josh brolin had to do, he'll play ross and voice red hulk
Red hulk is perfect for Harrison Ford. Animators do all the stunts and he just shows up for some scenes.
To further the Dark Crisis discussion. Maybe kraven will hunt morbius

To be fair Batman 128 I believe says it takes place before dark crisis
The face of the mcu should be the Fantastic Four
I hope we get a man of steel 2!
31:10 and apparently people are mad at "blackwashing" of jimmy
Over the more apparently whitewashing of damian
Why not have Sam Elliot come back as General Ross?🤔 😮
My god I would love animated direct adaptations like we used to get with the old DCAU.
Great episode bois ❤ u
They also canceled Justice League Mortal for stupid reasons
Everything matters!!!
Henry Cavill is a great Superman.
Bringing back Downey as Iron Man in something like Secret Wars would be great if they followed up with an Iron Man 4 where the world Tony is in has gotten so much crazier than what we had back in Iron Man 1. Sal and Benny should make a short of anime and manga vs comics and comicbook movies and how the studios react to one another 😂
Is it me or did Benny's mic not working as it usually is? I heard him fine there was no major issues, I just wanna make sure I'm not going crazy, he sounds weird.

Benny, if you like MHA you should check out MHA Vigilantes it's a really good spinoff
Pretty much a prequel to MHA. Very good.
Super-Sons was....a movie.

Nothing matters… ;)

AC COMICS
