Dark Crisis is really great for me, in the end its not affecting the universe and thats kinda lackluster, but in the end Dark Crisis is a great read, they are telling a story that celebrate characters that never get the spotlight that often, exposing how rich and fun the DC Universe is
Also, regarding DC seeming to not give a single shit about Dark Crisis, we also had Supes come back from war world this past week so we had two COMPLETELY separate Superman is back reuniting with Jon moments happening concurrently, and maybe the war world stuff was supposed to happen before Dark Crisis? But I find it highly unlikely that they're going to bother even trying to make that make sense. SO WHICH HEART WARMING REUNION IS CANON? WHO KNOWS.

It's funny. People forget that the first Star wars movie (a new hope) WAS the type of movie that wasn't really intended to be the first of a trilogy, like the matrix. Star wars wasn't a known commodity, obviously since that was the first one it wasn't established. They set stuff up to do future movies if it was successful, like the matrix example. Lucas did have more of a plan for a trilogy (and nine parts altogether) then the witowski brothers (sorry about the spelling) did for the matrix but both parties did do stuff for setting up sequels just in case they could but made the movies mostly stand on their own in case they ended up being one in done. It wasn't like doing an infinity war movie without knowing if they would ever get to know if they were going to do endgame.

Dark crisis isn’t bad but this event wants to have the Crisis name but be a small definitive event for legacy heroes. Another have your cake and eat it too situation where they started out using the multiverse but didn’t wanna do anything else with it because it’s been overused by dark knights/death metal and then have it be about jsa/titans and even future state characters trying to give them agency but also not do anything too status quo changing. Feels a little underwhelming
I love the older dudes talking about fashion. Guys nerd clothing has changed it’s not ugly pjs anymore there’s designers that make these clothes look awesome. Look at huff and primitives comic collabs.
Oh, man. I've been hoping for a Kang Dynasty Back Issues for years. 😞 Busiek's Avengers run is one of my all-time favorite comic runs. I agree with Sal's assessment on Secret Wars. Marvel has short-changed some of their bigger Avengers leaning villains like Red Skull and Ultron in the MCU. Those characters should have been bigger, multi-film villains. I'm glad they're giving Kang and Doom room to breathe. Marvel only has maybe 10 characters that can feasibly take up a big bad role, and when you squish them together too close, you're ruining the character's potential. It seems like Secret Wars will be more akin to Avengers Forever than Secret Wars itself. They can end Phase 9 with something more akin to Secret Wars, and call it Doom War. It's not the end of the world.

I read dark crisis the deadly green and it was actually a really good tie in involving the magical side of dc and how they’re tackling the dark crisis. I’ll admit the main books themselves do a terrible job or stringing everything together

Can everyone go back to being silent and not telling anyone their opinions because clearly nobody can handle anybody saying anything without getting mad/offended/violent/etc. it also doesn’t help that people constantly talk about stuff they know almost nothing about (both do stop). I’m even sick of hearing people just talk about it (I just skipped this episode after 10 minutes of hearing about the bs).
