I did not know you could even have a small basement in a Phoenix house, let alone the awesome one you have. What a blessing. Love you guys. (Tucson here 😊)
Your food storage is AWESOME!! Way to go!! I also store food downstairs like you do in large plastic containers with the gamma lids and then I just fill smaller glass containers and keep them upstairs in my kitchen pantry for daily use and refill them as needed. Tis a great system!
Loved the tour and seeing where my cheese sauce and mushroom gravy were born. I just started some micro greens. Would love a video on how you start yours and the supplies and seeds you use.
Kewl storage! I am organizing my pantry, freezers, and kitchen cabinets today this was a perfect watch,I just finished watching the pantry tour. Thanks Dillon.
I love all the different areas of the basement. Storage is great, the gym is off the chain! The swag room is dope and Reebs gets extra cool points for the turntable. Love ya girl! I don't have near the space for storage but I've gotten some great ideas from this and the pantry tour. I don't have a basement just a garage but I'm not sure about storing bulk starches in that heat in the summer. I'll think on it. Great job you two oh and kudos on the hula hoop skills for you both!
I love me some micro greens. I'm small time, though. Got me a big pickle jar and a mesh lid in the early 80s and still use it. Thanks for showing us your impressive basement space. Hi Reebs.
Holy oh my gosh the mermaid blankey!!!!! Loved this whole tour. Dammit I want a Winco where I live!! Yes please pretty please tell us more about the micro greens. Show us step by step. Cuz I don’t trust no other stinkin random you tubers! My poor husband...he thinks we are finishing our basement...I have some news for him... 🤣 Seriously tho thanks, this was great!
Wow! Thanks for the tour! Your stock is impressive & that basement could fit like 5 families in there 🤣 Can't wait to see the freezer tour! #basementgoals
Wow, this was really cool. I remember you doing the hydroponic farming which I find extremely interesting. I am also interested in the microgreens and sprouting. I feel like I'm constantly going to the grocery store for greens! Maybe I should somehow try to do some of this. Where do I start?
Thanks for sharing. I miss having a basement. Living in South Florida presents itself with storage challenges. My house in Nova Scotia has one, but I'm only there a few months of the year.
That is an amazing basement! I would love to see what types of dehydrated meals you make for backpacking. All of the backpacking meals I have seen are processed junk food, or not vegan.
OMG! I love your channel! I found you in a search I did for food processors and enjoyed how you and your wife presented your videos so I decided to stick around (new subby here). Thank you so much for sharing your cooking and storage ideas. I am going to purchase the food processor you demonstrated on another video! I am also gonna get to organizing my pantry and find some space in the basement (which is one-tenth the size of yours) to grow wheat grass and store some extras. I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL.....did I already say that? (lol)
Omg your voice use to bug me so bad now I have grown on me and I love your Chanel and your content. Also love your Facebook page it has helped me so much everyone is so helpful and I love your girlfriend she is adorable
Great tour. When you were laying on the couch with blanket over you it looks like a mermaid fin. I laughed so hard at the thought of you swimming as a mermaid. Have a great night - til your next video God bless you from grandma Katie in Oregon
@@marypfender9984 I live in Southern California and I have never seen a Giant. Is it a grocery store? I will have to see if they sell the ramen at some of our other stores or Amazon.
This was a great video. You have a gigantic basement! We don't have basements in Oklahoma, sadly. I grew up in MN and really miss having a basement. I would LOVE if you'd do a video on growing microgreens and sprouts! Pretty please??
Soy curls will go bad at room temp! They are the whole soybean and have not been defatted like TVP. I don't use them up fast enough and learned the hard way, so I now buy at most 6 half pound bags and keep them in the fridge. When I get my nightmare freezer cleaned out I will transfer them to that...
Holy moly...that is one massive basement! You should probably stop after the freezer tour, because now I want a tour of every space in your house! haha
I wish I had your basement! Thanks for the tour! If you have resources on properly storing dry goods in the food grade buckets, I’m interested in doing that. Or if you could do a video on it. Is it as simple as just putting the product in and securing the lid?
hey Dillion have you done a video on growing micro greens?? I do sprouts very successful eat them ever morning and bean sprouts (mung beans) but am having trouble with clover etc in the micro greens.
How do you do salt-free fermenting? My husband likes sauerkraut, and my kids love pickles. I can't have much of either because even with exercise, being at a normal weight range, and eating mostly wfpb, my bp loves to inch up higher than it should, so I try to keep my sodium low. I only eat pickles or sauerkraut on long-run days....
Hey Dillon, is your favorite dehydrated veggie blend the dehydrated vegetable soup mix in your store? And if not, where do you get the mix you love? Thanks!
i tried growing romaine indoors under lights last year and it seemed to go well at first, but they weren't happy after a few weeks ... hope you have better luck :)
Wondering where you purchased the twist off lids and the buckets ? In the video I thought you said there would be a link but so far I’m not finding anything. Maybe I’m missing it?
Jondy hi, the Delish package says it’s soup mix. Is that the same dehydrated veggie mix he refers to? Or is it a mix of the other separately packaged freeze dried vegetables? Thanks!
Yes it says soup mix but you can mix in rice or other dishes. You can also buy in different sizes. His link in description takes you right to the item. I just happened to find it on Amazon and order before seeing his video. Im waiting on mine but the reviews are great and if Dillion is using im sure ill love it!
Keeping a pantry is NoT hoarding. I have rotated through a year's worth of beans, rice, oats, and such for decades. I keep enough for a year and buy a new bag every time I use one up. The same is true for canned goods, anything else with a shelf life, paper and hygiene products, wellness supplies, and first aid supplies. Frugality and taking care of one's family is smart. Only jealous, entitled people give the name hoarding to a provident pantry.
that basement is INSANE - everyone go to Dillon's in an apocalypse. Ok the Indo board is what Brooke Shields just broke her hips and leg or something on, thank you TH-cam for informing me
Where do you get your dried veggies? I'm looking for those to create my own backpacking meals. I've got a 10- day trip in July with only one resupply drop and need to provide my own WFPB meals.
Ok so your basement is bigger than my entire house! Lol. I absolutely love it Dillon. I started a hydroponic indoor grow project during all of this COVID madness. Love your setup! One question; Do you ever get “pests” in your dry goods? I always freeze my rice, flour, etc for a few days before storing but wonder how you manage to keep those huge quantities with no problems.
Thanks for the tour ..... only problem now is I have a terrible case of basement envy.
NO, not obnoxious at all. I enjoyed it just like I enjoyed the pantry tour. I like to see how other people live. Thanks for sharing. ❤️🙌🏻
That was so cool! I feel inspired. Request: House tour! 😍
Impressive. wasn't expecting it to be on this level.
excellent
You have refueled my basement envy. I'm gonna tell my kids I want a basement for Christmas!

I’m jealous. What a fabulous basement to store your canning jars and products!
Oh wow that basement!! In so much envy over all the food storage. Amazing!!
Wow..how nice to have all that room for canning etc! Love it!
That freeze drying machine looks super cool. I want to see more of it.
Seeing Dillon in that mermaid blanket. 😂 That chill out room looks like a nice little love nest. Ultra chill. Love it.
Ha ha ha
Finally I've found what I was looking for!
Thank you for your channel!!!
It's so hard to find real vegan preppers and you are it!
Your food storage is AWESOME!! Way to go!! I also store food downstairs like you do in large plastic containers with the gamma lids and then I just fill smaller glass containers and keep them upstairs in my kitchen pantry for daily use and refill them as needed. Tis a great system!
I have found that soy curls can go rancid after awhile so I now store them in the freezer.

That hula hoop was weighted or something, it should not have gone that well. Hahah
Stumbled upon this video today after watching a more serious Dillon WYW video beforehand to get me back on track...just what my soul needed!
Your basement is everything 😱
Where's the "wow!" button?
Fascinating! I’d love to know more about your food storage! Especially the freeze dried Mylar bagging
I love me some micro greens. I'm small time, though. Got me a big pickle jar and a mesh lid in the early 80s and still use it. Thanks for showing us your impressive basement space. Hi Reebs.

Wow your basement is insane !!!!!
Hey! That was cool 😎! Thanks for the fun video! 👍😁
Your basement is awesome.
Love this tour! And I got a lot of great ideas. Thank you! Would love to see some of your soy curl recipes. ♥️
When I saw that black curtain and you totally skipped over it, I thought "Yep, that's where he grows his weed." Impressive tour. Thanks for sharing.
Very Nice thank you for sharing gives me an idea of what I’m already doing. Love everything you have especially the machines you have 👍
That was sooooo interesting. Thanks, Dillon!

Yes, this is why I invested in doing my own. Working on these types of products for sale someday.
@@WellYourWorld all the best! I watch a lot of MRE videos, would love to see your take on and intervention in the whole segment

yes, it's a mermaid fin blanket.
@@WellYourWorld ok
Thanks for clearing that up for me
I love the Costco ramen too. Just had some with stir fry and your I dian sauce.😋
Dammit, Indian sauce.
I am so jealous! Our Costco doesn't sell the ramen!
@@angelazeman1375 , I've gotten them at Giant. Not that size but they do sell them.

You can get 3 gal food grade buckets for free from bakeries. I have 15 from my local King Soopers
Cutest mermaid ever! Haha, thanx Dillon, that was fun.. Much appreciated xx
You’re welcome 😊

Major basement envy here.
You should sale the backpacking meals!
I hope to one day soon.
Amazing tour. Thank you. Where can I purchase the dry veggie blend ?
Sweet house.
Your grade school “show and tells” must have been amazing. What area of the country do you guys live? Arizona?
Your basement is like the subway system in New York. It just keeps going and going.
Mind boggling on how organized you are!!! Now, a garden tour? Just throw some of those beans and peas in the garden and see what happens...
Holy moly...that is one massive basement! You should probably stop after the freezer tour, because now I want a tour of every space in your house! haha
We'll see...
And I WAS proud of my pantry........ Well I still am. My husband thinks I am crazy... Thanks for the tour 😉
Oh your gym !😍
Awesome! Where did you get your metal shelving?
Webstaurantstore.com
Great video!!! Where did you purchase the 25lb bag of oatmeal?
He said he gets his bulk at winco and can preorder for 25lb bags
A A Thanks
Thanks for the tour! How long do the 25 pound bags of beans last on the shelf in a temperature controlled house?
they last me a year, but then they are gone to belly, so I dont know the max
I love your basement. I wish I had half as much space for a gym... lol. How long did it take you to plan/build your rooms?
Great tour, very envious! How do you "can" your already cooked beans? Are they just vacuum sealed or boiled in a canner?
I wish I had your basement! Thanks for the tour! If you have resources on properly storing dry goods in the food grade buckets, I’m interested in doing that. Or if you could do a video on it. Is it as simple as just putting the product in and securing the lid?
