SO envious of both your freezer spaces! Live in a place with a small fridge and freezer. Also love the vacuum sealer action. Power goes off here frequently so frozen stuff defrosts and refreeze constantly. Nice to see things work the way they are supposed to. Love your videos - really inspiring. Thank you!
So glad i’m not the only one freezing my produce vacuum packed. I can my own tomato sauce from the flood of tomatoes in my garden every 3-4 months. Whatever my son don’t eat got canned or vacuum packed & freeze. Thanks for the tour Dillon. You’re too adorable
Thanks for reminding me that if I owned another fridge, it would fill up. It's hard to call one's self, "Small Footprint" when belongings keep expanding. Downsizing's not easy, but worth it. It all applies to the eating addiction too. You're amazingly organized, and it's inspiring to see. Thanks for showing us how you do it.
I have to inventory my bsmt freezer, too! LOVED this series! Just FYI - DON'T throw out veggies that are not your favorite (or are turning)!! Steam and puree (root veggies are the best) to add to baked goods, pasta sauce, hummus, oatmeal, etc. Easy (and tasty) way to prevent food waste and pump up nutritional value of your meals...
This fridge is a little small, but the extra downstairs helps a lot for overflow. While I'd love one of those huge commercial-size fridges, they don't look very nice in my opinion. Thanks for checking it out J&B!
@@WellYourWorld Your fridge isn't small at all! Most people don't have a two-door fridge, it's a small one, especially in small apartments! I think it's all a matter of perspective.
Ahhh . . . so you do put chocolate chips in your oat clusters! I had a sneaky suspicion!! I actually made them this week and put grated carrots and chopped apple in them and they are AMAZING!!! :)
You told me your Mom was from Saskatoon but I didn't realize your Dad was from Calgary!! I lived in Calgary for many years and I live about 1.5 hours South of there now in Claresholm. Cool!!
I don't consider chocolate chips as contraband as long as they are the right kind. I have found some at Trader Joe's that are dairy free and sugar free and salt free. I occasionally like the add those to my morning bowl of oats and berries just before putting into the microwave to warm up. My craving for chocolate has gone down since becoming plant based about four years ago. So I don't need to do this often. A little bit goes a long way.
Nice fridges! (Both of them)🌱. It's great that you mentioned the onion that keeps odours under control inside the fridge. I never thought about it, but i'll try this lifehack, as i share the fridge with my omnivorous mom, and her so-called animal-derived food can get really stinky, duh.🤦😂 Also, it's a good idea to put nuts in the freezer. I might try this as well (not only nuts, but some grains and seeds that contain natural oils), as they all are exposed to rancidification: i really hated it when it happened to my amaranth grist and thistle grist, so at this point, i need to be more precautious.😸😎
