When you watch TV do people have sodding great big microphones covering their faces and headphones on? No!
Be professional; Go and buy some lavalier (lav) mics and ditch the headphones.

We use lavaliere microphones when we produce for TV. This was a podcast and we needed the best audio since most of our podcast audience listen using earphones.
