The Belt Parkway and I-4 are definitely similar. Having driven both often I would have to say I-4 is worse. Many more accidents and fatal accidents than Belt.
I have mixed feelings about this vid. Most of what you are talking about is not making any money. (advertising trips) That... to me... would be a decline in "Quality of life" if you need the money. especially for the young guys who are paying off loans or have household bills to pay. This only really works for the older guys who have money in the bank, and everything is paid for. I was hoping for a vid that helps the young guy, young family, or "Career 2.0" guy have more family time, and maximize work time, for better time off.
The same techniques can be used to improve your schedule through trading trips and improving your schedule. Many equate quality of life to having days off while still being able to pay the bills. Money vs time is a constant balancing act in life. Fortunately, hourly rates have increased to the point that even junior pilots can have a good quality of life while working less hours. To your next point, There are many younger and junior pilots who have an amazing quality of life through these techniques. Of course if you want make more money that is your choice which is a great aspect of this job. Hope this helps.
@@AviationCareersPodcast It does. Mostly. I guess I was hoping for some "Inside" info. Just for an FYI... I'm a 52 yo career 2.0 guy. LOL. I'm almost done with my commercial. I put my life on hold to chase a dream. Needless to say, things are tight right now because of that. BUT... the light at the end of the tunnel is getting close. I'm hoping to have my CFI by the end of summer, and at least have a small income again. I do enjoy your vids/podcasts, so please dont take my original post the wrong way. At my age, I fully understand the balance needed. I'm tied in with skyWest right now, but there are a bunch of local charters who are hiring with relatively low hours, and good pay. So, I may not be a CFI long. Thanks for the info
If you ever called stratus you’ll quickly learn they are not pilots. Also hear they hardly approve anyone for loans.
This!!! And meritize too
They approved me.
@@FloridaCoastal1 not me , 6 weeks of paperwork submitted, still denied. Showed my business which grossed 704k last year, wasn’t enough
