  • In which I tell you about my allergies that cause the allergic contact dermatitis that appeared from out of nowhere when I was 30, and the journey I went on to get a diagnosis. Also, as I was editing this I realised I didn't go into detail on my drometrizole allergy - oops! In short, it's a chemical sunscreen, which is a bit of a pain when you're as pale as I am!

Omg you’re like my lip twin!!! I can’t tell you how exact our stories are. But I haven’t found an answer yet, two years later and my lips are so so swollen and sore. It makes me so sad. Thinking of going back to the dermatologist but I had an allergy test that covered my entire back and it came back inconclusive 🤷🏻‍♀️ I don’t wear lipstick anymore and try to use fragrance free skincare but everything makes my lips sore. The sun, water, cold air, eating is a real problem especially spicy food. I totally feel you on being sad about it xx

Thanks for your comment Lily - It really is the worst having no idea what's going on and just having to suffer your lips getting worse all the time. It was bad enough as a blogger at my level so can't imagine how frustrating it is for you. Keep stamping those feet and really hope you find an answer soon! xxx

Thank you for all of your allergy videos, they are really informative. I really appreciate you taking the time to tell us all about your journey and this very irritating skin problem. I just cant believe your allergy videos dont have more views than what they do. Your sharing a lot of good information that could point someone in the right direction and give them an incredible amount of hope. Thanks again.

I'm so glad you've finally got some answers! I know how tough it was for you. Dan's allergic to Limonene, Linalool and Citronelol too! We had quite the palaver trying to figure it out. He's still having problems with his eczema - I'm going to show him your video. Xx

Thanks Tanya - as you know, it's been a long road but i've got there in the end!! I still have the odd problem as my allergies can be such sneaky ones that it's almost impossible to avoid exposure entirely, but generally life is so much better! hope my video helps Dan, and if there are any particular issues I can help with just holler! x

Ever since doing patch testing is your skin clear again and you dont get flare ups anymore? Thanks :)

Hi :) I do generally have it under control but still get the occasional flare up - it's really hard to completely avoid things, especially cinnamon at this time of year! People are burning candles, there are cinnamon bundles on wreaths everywhere, and pumpkin spice is generally in the air! However I can generally get a flare up under control a lot more quickly now.
