  • Tried to do a guide on how to remove the servo motor under the seat. Adding a link to a video for removing the stock exhaust. Enjoy!

ok....I seen struggle. whenever you have a electrical connection... spray it with wd40, push in on the connection. push down on the tab... then pull it apart. easy!

    i have a 2012 zx6r and just installed a yosh slip on.
i took your advice and removed the servo cables completely from the bike but didnt remove the motor. Nor do i have any servo eliinator of any kind. My question is, is the bike safe to run like that? what would happen or could possible handle. Do i need to stay off of riding the bike until I get some kind of servo eliminator? thanks in advance and I hope to get a response from you or someone else that knows

Joe Alvarez As far as I know without a servo eliminator the bike won't even start. It'll give a F (Fault) warning on the display. Because it thinks it's detecting an issue with the servo motor itself. If it'll run without it (the eliminator) then I don't see any issue with running the bike without it, the servo motor is only there for the stock exhaust. I haven't had a single issue with mine.
Although I have to say I am in no way a mechanic. May want to ask someone more qualified, lol.

Did you figure it out? Most people leave the servo connected just with out the cables so it doesnt send a check engine light signal. I ordered a yoshimura alpha t slip on and they sent me a servo adapter with it you take the adapter off where you connect the cables and put the one in that came with the aftermarket and from what they said it's totally safe on your bike and it still moves as the adapter has to prongs sticking up so when the servo motor moves it hits each prong open or close which I'm guessing is still telling the computer to open or close the exhaust valve more like tricking the computer so it still runs just fine with out flashing or dyno tuning or with out putting a servo buddy.
