    I think Sam made a point. I think whenever I had an exercise that was “bad for me” I didn’t have the supporting muscles and I went too heavy. Traps and whatever muscles that are connected support bench, shoulder presses and I always had injuries because my shyt was weak. Kelso’s shrug book talks about it.

    I do something I call a shrow. You do like a short range of motion row with a shrug that you hold at the top for a second or two. Even though it looks unconventional, it puts your trap growth on turbo.

  • @shorefire3747
    @shorefire3747 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    A highly rated physical therapist once told me thst upright rows are very dangerous to the shoulder joint and to avoid them at all costs... But over the years I've noticed the biggest guys in the gyms that I've trained in all did them, I think it's just a question of staying light enough to where you're not swinging the weight up.

  • @KenanTurkiye

    I recommend people try barbell shrugs with different grip width and with the bar both at front and rear.
    You'll be amazed how a difference it makes on where it ''hits'' on your traps.
    I personally don't like huge traps, my traps already grow by stirring my drinks, so the only work I do for my traps it to get the end sections (closer to the shoulders) to be prominent without getting a huge curve on the tops.

    • @KenanTurkiye

      @KenanTurkiye 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@kevinwheeler5595 Cop: ''how did you crash into that parked car, have you been drinking?''

      @@KenanTurkiye lol I have a sneaking suspicion that would ensure I get a ticket. Almost every male that would do an AAS would develop fairly large traps without much effort. Traps just have a large concentration of androgen receptors.
