This is incredible for me, how a foreigner dedicates a whole video for one of the most promising athletes of my country. Makes me extremely proud as a Bulgarian! 🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬
He says more things than it’s being translated. He says that he keeps in his mind the eyes of the children who believe in him as their champion. He remembers this when he practices, as motivation.
Karlos is Bulgaria's biggest treasure right now! He said it right - he is never alone, the whole nation is behind him, pushing the weights up in front of the TV every time. ❤
It is super great to see him and his coach focusing on injury prevention and longevity in the sport! This kid is playing the long game! 💪🏻💪🏻 awesome content as always!!
This man is eating and training however he feel like and is the best in the world. This proves that the best quality of an athlete is his discipline and spirit.
Damn, maybe my biggest mind-blower in this was that he does his own programming. To know yourself well enough to programme yourself to being the best in the world, and then see it through? That's crazy impressive
When he dropped the bar at 04:57 I thought "yeah, that drop looked badass, but now you have to strip the weights from the ground and that's a headache" and then he simply proceeds to rip the weight off the bar. Honestly, an impressive feat of strength in itself, that's 115kg he just ripped off like a bandaid.
The quality and production is amazing! And also how personable this is there's nothing like this that I've watched. I feel like I'm actually there in Bulgaria even though I'm here in the United States
I have goosebumps from the start of the video.. Have been watching most of your content since your first Karlos video. Your channel deserves millions of subscribers and I'm sure you will get there! Bless you and your team! Благодаря!-Thank you !
Great Content as Usual. Karlos is a very well grounded young Man, He’s so Focused and disciplined. And clearly Has a massive support from the Bulgarian people and country. I am a huge fan of his,may he always thrive and be successful.
When it’s all said and done, Karlos will be the greatest powerlifter in the world and the greatest athlete that came out of Bulgaria. This man is the definition of the word Bulgaria and what our country’s spirit is all about. May God continue to bless him and keep him injury free. 🤍💚❤️
Outstanding. Great to see Karlos as a real human instead of a lifting machine. Didn’t like hearing those words knee pain near the end of workout tho. Karlos has a lifter’s attitude toward diet/meat. (Every meat is my favorite meat). Physio guy pointed out Milan Dobrev as last Bulgarian before Karlos to win OG. 20 years hard to believe. He was another guy who died way to young, didn’t see 40.
Belmeken is at a height of 2500, not 2050. Slight translation error. It's amazing seeing this absolute beast and then you realize he's 20 years old... for some people that's still a kid.
I think this vid reinforces unquestionably that to be the best in such a demanding sport it has to be your full time job. I can’t imagine anyone working an 8 hour job, even if you’re sitting at a computer terminal and not doing physical labor trying to compete with Karlos or any other top competitor. From the vid we see him working his sport eating, stretching, training, resting until 9pm when he has a little bit of downtime. Full time athletes get you full time results. Part time athletes get you part time results.
I really love how you're "making weightlfiting great again". Enhancing the personality of one of the greats growing up to his full potential. Giving people this "hero" type everyone wishes to have in their favourite sport. The olympic games and previous world championships would've been crazy hype if you got to do this documentary before hand and do a similar one on Nino Pizzolato. We need these icons that seem bigger than life to have dreams and make our hobbies/interests/sports magical.
As much as I love Li Dayin and being bias to team china, I am also rooting for this young man, Karlos you're an absolute monster in this game, I hope you stay healthy and keep crushing WRs
@@WeightliftingHouse It shows how almost irrelevant strict press is for olympic weightlifting. It's not like its useless but there are big difference between Klokovs 170 (180 best) and others he competed with at the same level that had nowhere near press like that. Also here 80 kg is something that regular natural dude is capable of doing but jerking like 120-140 not 220 like Karlos.
@@tttyyy949i'm pretty sure Karlos mentioned before he's done 120 kg on strict press which was when he was a teenager. It's not irrelevant, it's good to be able to strict press at least 50% of your jerk with good form.
@@tttyyy949Also most of Klokov opponents, like Aramnau, or Akkaev for that matter, both have done 140 kg strict press in training, they just didn't trained that exercise often enough.
@@hrsmp I said it's _almost_ irrelevant. Having 50% its for sure useful but it's so low that it kinda supports what I said. I mean if 50% is enough then it's not _that_ important. Clearence also says it's not very useful. I'm not saying its useless. dont get me wrong. You also mentioned Aramnau or Akkaev which is fair enough but still you said it yourself they didnt trained it often enough still says that is tier 2 exercise in terms of actually putting more kilos to jerk (and im sayint that while loving strict press both as an exercise and as a strength measure) and to shine different light Szymon Kolecki once asked on vision to lift TV host over his head (skinny dude) said he will not attempt it as he will not be able to do it. you should be proud. Bulgarians have been very inspirational to us all when it comes to weightlifting
They left out the part when he takes steriods.
I'm a foreigner to your country and I follow karlos because he is brilliant at what he does
He says more things than it’s being translated. He says that he keeps in his mind the eyes of the children who believe in him as their champion. He remembers this when he practices, as motivation.
I'm never alone, I have my Country behind me. Powerful
Goosebombs 😮
GOD is on the top of the Pyramid in Bulgaria! We are under GOD here, which is why we are hated by Western Atheists.
Amazing
“I don’t love max weights, I love hard work” - Karlos
That's it, when you're immersed in the process, reward comes naturally 💪🏻

No Bahrain for Karlos. Pay him what he’s worth. Besides his athletic achievements if he’s making the whole country feel good, that’s worth something.
Left out the steriods.

The world will perhaps never know the meaning of "meow" to Karlos, but it's clearly very important to him
In Bulgaria we have a joke about meowing like a kitten which means you are ready for battle, that's all

Made me think of Ryan Crouser. He is considered the goat of shot put and also has done his own programming since he graduated college.
Also rostami did his own programming, these champions listen to their body
And has now also successfully trained an olympics discuss throw gold medalist.@@michiel5160

Nick I was thinking the same thing then I saw Karlos peel 5 big plates off as easy as I can get 2 off. WTF.
Saw that too, that was absolutely insane
Saw it with my own eyes and was more impressed than the front squats and cleans
Felt stronger by just watching this.
