From my experiences that crack in the deck happens when the spindle breaks, blade slices into it. I'd never get anything done by the creek. Nice place!
Bought mine new in 2014 for a grand- closeout. 380 hours now. The diffs got a bad rap, but they can really take a beating. Tell your future buyer if heading up a steep hill, if it does start to slow down/slip, let off the pedal and it will grab a “lower gear”. Just natural to equate the pedal with more power- but it’s not the case on this model. Good work sir- looks a heck of a lot better than mine!
I didn’t know that about the transmission. It’s a curious trans for sure, officially it’s a hydrostatic, but it really seems like a variable drive to me. Either way, it drives great now!
@@Kylebythecreek How about this one? I’ve had this tractor for 10 years this summer and about three weeks ago I had to replace a carburetor, fuel lines, fuel filter, spark, plug, AFL, the air filter, ignition coil, having said all that the linkage bolt for the throttle, and the carburetor are perfect, but I have very little control over the throttle as soon as I turn the engine on it screens racing like hell I don’t know what to do with this thing I’m afraid to run it I don’t want to blow up my engine after all the work, I just did to it
I’m in Kyle!! Gonna cruise the channel and check things out🤩
Thanks Dave!

I don't think I would sell a mower with a welded spring. The mower seems like a good one after your work Kyle.
I have a yt 3000 craftsman..do you know where the grease spout is located for the steering gears is located.???
Not sure specifically

Just curious... Should the deck engagement cable be routed differently? Seems kinda odd being exposed like that?
That’s the correct route
Well I thought I’d seen it all , but welding the spring was a first
nice job Kyle :) Do you have the name or link of the video on cleaning the low idle areas on the carb ?
Hmmm. I might have to look back in my TH-cam history. I’ll try to do that for you
Thank you, thank you so much :)

This tractor is made by Husqvarna, like the Ariens tractors..
do you still have your craftsman t3000?
Nope
What size is the deck ?
42” I believe. I sold that machine a while ago now
I would use Armurall , WD40 will attract dust
Thanks!
Jeez dude, just spend the $15. & buy a new spring, unbelievable ! 🤨🙄
