    Love your videos. I'm curious to know why you put the door casing in flush with the plasterboard though. Don't you let it protrude a few millimetres to allow for the plaster to be flush to the face of the casing ?

    • @croyce7699
      @croyce7699 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It allows you to cut rolling angles/follow curves on angle with your jigsaw. With the standard base, you cam set the foot to any angle and cut. If you try and cut a rolling angle or around a curve like that moulding, the base gets in the way and/or is miles from the blade. This thing allows it to rock and roll and still be secure to the work piece

    I have a Collins foot, although I still cope with a hand saw. I just can’t seem to find a jigsaw blade that is a right fit for the Collins. I mean there must be a go to T blade for this sort of combination?

    • @jeremiahbrown4344
      @jeremiahbrown4344 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They make jigsaw coping blades. Try the 3" 12tpi blades(Dewalt, Bosch, etc., try a few to see what works best for you) they make a nice clean cut :)

      Coping your internal corners allows for any discrepancy if the wall isn't at a perfect 90 deg. Personally I prefer it also and couldnt really remember the last time I even mitred an internal angle for baseboard

    Hi Scott
    I don't know wether or not you've tried or not but IMHO I believe a Much Better way of doing copes and the likes is by using an Angle grinder and a Flap Disc. I'm sure you have both !
    Worth trying and if you don't like the Concept then No Harm No Foul !
    Cheers Mate.
