“Look like a U.S. Marine with that haircut, bro.”
As a U.S. Marine, I legit laughed out loud that comment. Hilarious.
Love the videos!
Love the work guys makes me want to move out there. Keep it up
Scott & Paerau you make it look easy... consummate professionals 😎
I absolutely love your vids but I have to say they wouldn't be half as good if it was just you alone all the time. Paerau is a legend.
Simon Daniels being the apprentice can suck sometimes but when you show your journeyman what’s up on something new it’s like BAAAAM! There to go
So, "If" Collins Coping Foot is a "Coping Mechanism" for small jobs..."Then Not" a Alteration but a Alter Ego...!
Good choice on the jigsaw...The coping use is really wanting this handle layout.
Good Video of teamwork and Workflow...!
Enjoying your channel...Thank You for making and posting.
man I really love the choice of music makes your videos stand out to other people keep it up!
Just got a collins coping foot the other day, definitely great investment.
Ok dammit you have made me want to be a builder bugger this flooring stuff what you guys do looks way better.
Awesome video again
Intro is awesome!!! lol
Thanks Scott
Well jambed, well hung. Doors! I'd move there in a second if I could ever drive on the other side of the road!! [I want to work for Peter Jackson's outfit!!]
Keep your tools locked up good boys, that time of year everyone out to get us tradies
Great weather we are having this week, pity we have to work ... LOL !!
It's about 18 degrees Fahrenheit here in northern USA.
Jealous of that weather!
You're my hero
😂😂
Good to see different brands for different tools. Wold be intresting to see what brand is best for what tool. Also how was the chicken cashewnut.
I wish you had a Festool Carvex, I have the Collins Coping Foot for it and could use some help installing it.
Love your videos. I'm curious to know why you put the door casing in flush with the plasterboard though. Don't you let it protrude a few millimetres to allow for the plaster to be flush to the face of the casing ?
Well ya got me, any future house mods i'll be calling you....
Pretty cool with the copping foot. Was that through your rep??
looks great is that attachment available in the uk and which video did you show your work tent/gazebo and what brand thanks :)
Pearau has your Stanley knife lol
Friday 👍
Awesome! What is so special about that coping foot? Is it only that you can follow contours or whatever? Oh, and dont remove the clampcam, it was awesome!
It allows you to cut rolling angles/follow curves on angle with your jigsaw. With the standard base, you cam set the foot to any angle and cut. If you try and cut a rolling angle or around a curve like that moulding, the base gets in the way and/or is miles from the blade. This thing allows it to rock and roll and still be secure to the work piece
You will love the coping foot dude, it one of those tools that you just have to mess with and it will become second nature, all you need now is a frank custom router base for your Makita router 😎, let me know if you want me to make you one , love your channel brother 🙏🏽🙏🏽👊🏽
I would love one mate
I’ll definitely make you a couple dude, I’ll hit you up on Instagram👍🏽
Hey mate im a carpenter in nsw australia what are these custom router plates if you dont mind me asking never seen them let alone used one only the factory ones with the makita routers
Were did you get that foot from can I ghave a link ? thanks
Hey Scott cool vid there is alot of crap on you tube but good to see someone creating some great content where did you get the collins foot from cheers
Trademe bro
My buddy us awesome at coping with an angle grinder and sanding disk. I can do it I'm just a perfectionist. I can still beat him with a coping saw but my muscles are strong when it comes to coping. 😆😉
I have a Collins foot, although I still cope with a hand saw. I just can’t seem to find a jigsaw blade that is a right fit for the Collins. I mean there must be a go to T blade for this sort of combination?
They make jigsaw coping blades. Try the 3" 12tpi blades(Dewalt, Bosch, etc., try a few to see what works best for you) they make a nice clean cut :)
Try Diablo 5 Piece 15-15mm Wood Curve Jigsaw Blades
Thanks I'll check them out
I'm watching this while I install my collins coping foot. Anyone know where this little spring ball on my flat foot was supposed to go?
Dude what are those bags you’re wearing? My last set of bags wore out finally after 12 years, having a hard time finding a pair I like but those look nice
occidental leather pro framer
So are you going to keep the new jigsaw as a coping saw or is it pretty easy to put the old base plate back on.
Pretty easy so far. I guess if I ever need to use them simultaneously I can get the old corded one out for flat cuts
@@ScottBrownCarpentry
Thinking of getting this barrel style, I’m already on a ton of makita . Does the on off switch work ok if you need to stop right away etc? Seems like an odd design for that aspect. Thanks !
... best copying is with the grinder.
Dude I have been looking for that baseplate for a long while. I have the dewalt lineup. Will that work on it and where can I get me one?
If you are in NZ bro www.trademe.co.nz/1832907991 not sure about dewalt but from what I hear they fit most jigsaws
Only 3 more vids til 100, got anything big planned?
Hey Scott, just wondering where u got the long runners from for your van drawers? Been looking everywhere but can find some! Cheers thanks
Fullie hardware bro www.fullie.co.nz/collections/drawers-runners
The table saw is a DW745, right?
Yeah that's the one
👍👍👍🇮🇶😉
i want more information on this weird coping thing you got going on... why not just cut both ends on a 45? that seems significantly easier?
Coping your internal corners allows for any discrepancy if the wall isn't at a perfect 90 deg. Personally I prefer it also and couldnt really remember the last time I even mitred an internal angle for baseboard
@@Adsjabo interesting, thanks
Seems just as fast to use a coping saw and it didn't seem to fit as well as hand cut.
See you Friday...........or Saturday 😂
@2:21
Nah ! I am going to look after the tools ! That's what I would say
With all due respect, if youre working on hourly pay, do you consider the time you use for setting cameras and such? ( even tho it might not be long). Love the videos!
Please do video in video in video...
Let us know how that works out for you. I've never seen anyone cope with a jigsaw
Hi Scott
I don't know wether or not you've tried or not but IMHO I believe a Much Better way of doing copes and the likes is by using an Angle grinder and a Flap Disc. I'm sure you have both !
Worth trying and if you don't like the Concept then No Harm No Foul !
Cheers Mate.
Scott how do you sell the time you spend on these vids to the clients ? Only on jobs you made a full price for ?
U.S style hair cut 😂
Fuckin us marine😂😂😂
smell gas all day. why do not you use a battery .finish gun nailer
Todo el día oliendo a gas .por que no usa una de bateria
I've been eyeing up the battery only guns ..maybe next year
Tell pearau to stop swearing on camera...my kids are watching!
Woops my fault, I usually censor that!
