Got a track saw a few months ago, can't live without it now.
Got the Makita barrel grip jigsaw recently, absolutely hate it. Easily the most dangerous tool in my collection. That stop start button system is cause for a recall. Have bent a few blades already & still forget how fiddly it is to shut off almost every time I use it.
I also have a traditional pull trigger style, love it. Sneak up on the cut & full control of how & when I want it to work.

After watching your videos and numerous other DeWalt vs Makita youtube videos Makita stood out. Ha. Love how it grows past ten items. Not a month goes by when another tool of one type or another isn't added to my armoury.
Have a look at a cyclone for your extractor.
Just stuck one inline between my extractor and tool. Keeping my filters a lot cleaner and making emptying simple.
    Also does away with bags.

The 10 inch dewalt is so good here in Wellington to carry up all the hills and steps. I haven't even noticed the slightly smaller capacity. Does everything the 12 does but is way more compact. I did buy the led light for the blade off amazon straight away, so handy.

I started off going on offeeup. I found a kid moving into a college dorm who had a DeWalt drill, skil jigsaw, sockets, skilsaw and some other tools for $100 bucks total, all barely used. Bought a Delta table saw with stand,5 shop lights with bulbs,10 circular saw blades, all for 50 bucks off the same app. It's always good to look around but sometimes you get lucky like I did. I of course bought some tools later on.

Beware what you save you may end up paying as some tools won't be as precise as long

First thing I bought was a table saw but my buying of tools was mixed up because I got a donation from the school I went to for graduating so I got power tools then I got a belt and things

    Three questions:
What do you think of cyclone attachments for dust collection?
What do you think of Makita's kits where you get about 6-7 tools?
    As a 30 y/o, how do I move sideways into a trade?
    Thanks
    Love the vids, dude

Oscillating multi tool is a little higher on my list than the jig saw. I have the same table saw and love that I can pick it up with one hand.

I’m not a builder and doubt I’ll ever be one (would love to be, but too hard to change career now I think). Seems I’d be pretty well set up though! I’d need myself a table saw & track saw, but I’m pretty much there with the rest! Hmm, maybe I could learn to do something on the side? 🤔

Get yourself a water level, it's cheap, doesn't need batteries and it can go around corners, 100% accurate 🕺

we use the whole makita range on work. but in my personal arsenal i have the milwaukee impact drill and regular drill. and they are awesome. feels so much more solid than the makita's, and it also feels like they've got more power, even though i use a 4amp battery on both brands. did you lend out the finishing gun to a painter? :D

This is probably my favourite video of yours at the moment, very interactive whilst explaining as you build. I became a massive fan of yours yesterday (watching your first 100 videos yesterday (all of them)). You are a laugh and your mate is great too. I wish you the very best and if that airbow ever comes as a giveaway, #keen 🤙 ill wear an all black shirt all over France and England for a year! Cheers bro

Scott mate what model of multi tool are you using, and is it brushless, any info would be appreciated as the guy I work with owns TOO much DeWalt gear, but a lot of makitas tools are more appealing to me plus I enjoy watching you use them
    Cheers mate

you would think someone who is starting a building company would know exactly what tools he needs. Maybe a video that has information to aspiring builders that explains what they cant find out once they become builders for example: downturn of work, working up to starting your business by taking on cashies, dealing with big errors, dealing with customers, organisation of paperwork and notes, scheduling work, and correctly blaming other people for your mistakes. Cheers.
