    For me, the ideas in th-cam.com/users/postUgkxy_pn55PK60wAV3X_C_RoLS_67mNonoCE Plans were a starting point for building different sheds . Ryan gives ideas that allow an individual to draw nicest conclusions into the design and building of his or her own shed.

    Can I ask why you tapered the rafters rather than creating the fall with the bearers?

    • @DiscoFang
      @DiscoFang 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mark James Question to ask is why slope them at all? A pergola doesn't have a roof.

    • @DiscoFang
      @DiscoFang 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm actually guessing this will be roofed at some time in future. No other reason to taper back to over the existing roof gutter.

    • @markjames9746
      @markjames9746 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just thought it would have been easier to have the end bearers at different heights rather than cut each rafter

    • @DiscoFang
      @DiscoFang 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mark James Maybe. But to get a clean & tight scarf joint each slot would need the angle too. Those end-beams run parallel to the rafters would need angled ends and the relative heights of their joints with the end bearers/stringers wouldn't match. Cutting the joists starts to look the easy option.

    Are they special square washers on the cuphead side of the beam designed to work with cuphead bolts, just because i was under the assumption that the square section under the cup was needing to bite into the beam and having a big fuck off washer would kinda void that happening? BTW your dad has a massive deck
