After seeing this I decided to look back at that original art Marvel posted of the Fantastic Four(the one where Reed and Sue are dancing while Johnny and Benn are sitting down), and it matches the aesthetic and look of Sue and Reed's suits part for part. The belt, the styling on the four, that sort of ribbed sweater type look. Sue and Reed also had different white portions on their suits, so it likely just means their suits won't all look exactly the same for the white portions if we assume those will be Reed and Sue's suits. However we'll have to wait and see, but I'm not so certain of that sentiment.

So, this suit in this video is probably just a steppingstone for that promotional picture.
Issue with the promotional is that it also GREATLY matches this suit. Same belts and Sue and Reed's, same 4 symbol. Sue and Reed's have different white portions as well where Reed's didn't have the white neck section at all where as Sue's did, MEANING their suits might all just be uniquely segmented with the white to blue ratio. So this very well could be Johnny's actual suit, which, I wouldn't necessarily mind(even though the overabundance of white could use a little alteration imo. Mainly in it that I don't like how cleanly it cuts across the upper portion of his chest. I'd rather it in some way arch or bend, have a little more shape instead of just cutting at the shoulders if that makes sense, and then maybe cut it off a little more beyond that. I don't mind him having white up the sleeves though, that part is kind of nice imo. Maybe if he had the classic neck section and then the white on the arms connected to it from the sides and his upper shoulders/neck rather than the entire upper portion of his chest(if that sort of makes sense?).

The suit works effectively as a suit for a hero from the 60s. It doesn’t have to look like an upgrade to the previous F4 movies, it just has to fit the theme.

joseph’s johnny is basically the classic version of the character, a clean cut campy boy, chris evan’s is obviously a more contemporary version but also a chad
think of it like the cap suits before Winter Soldier. Its retro, its mae during a specific time. When they get to our reality it'll be cleaner and more modern. The white gives me hope in the future that they'll loosely adapt the future foundation storyline. Maybe even get Spidey in there and have him wear the famous black and white.
The suit is bright and vibrant, with a simplistic design and it looks like something you can actually move and breathe in. We have too many dull, overdesigned stiff leather suits these days. This actually has a comic book vibe to it.
Im pretty sure this movies a reboot so my theory is that when the fantastic 4 “FOURMED” (haha), they made cheap beginner suits to fight with in the beggining but they probably reveal their official better suit in like, the final battle.

They just began filming last month and all the images and videos leaked were basically camera tests to show the audience what aesthetic the director Matt Shakman is going for and the look of the team They are not scenes or stills from the actual film. Therefore, they likely don't represent the look in the final product. Everyone relax.

The suit fits well with the aesthetic of the retrofuturistic setting. From the leaks it looks to be a highly stylized 1960s, sort of wandavision-esque in terms of aesthetics
People don't consider the setting and theme of the film. Example is TASM(2012). It's supposed to be a darker take on Spider-Man. Hence, the Spider logo looking very animal and skeletal like to look more "dark". Now imagine Andrew using the MCU Spider logo in his suit..
It's not supposed to look modern. If you've actually picked up a comic based upon the FF, you'd know that it's the best live action design we've ever gotten.

The funniest thing about people complaining is that - assuming all 4 have the same style of suit - only Mister Fantastic is ever going to be majority representing the colours. Ben is a rock golem in shorts, Johnny becomes a literal fireman, Sue becomes me in high school but with force fields that I sure as hell didn't have, Reed is a stretchy guy. When each members' powers are active: 2 don't show off the suit, 1 doesn't have a fully-body suit, and 1 actually shows and stretches a full-body suit

Movie still sucked and Olivia Munn is known most well for showing her breast it’s not a big ask to ask a bunch of pervs who ran the X-men movies if she can show some skin. This suit gives off "We need to show the fans that progress is being made slap a random test suit on him" kinda vibes
think of it like the cap suits before Winter Soldier. Its retro, its mae during a specific time. When they get to our reality it'll be cleaner and more modern. The white gives me hope in the future that they'll loosely adapt the future foundation storyline. Maybe even get Spidey in there and have him wear the famous black and white.
The suit is bright and vibrant, with a simplistic design and it looks like something you can actually move and breathe in.
We have too many dull, overdesigned stiff leather suits these days. This actually has a comic book vibe to it.
Im pretty sure this movies a reboot so my theory is that when the fantastic 4 “FOURMED” (haha), they made cheap beginner suits to fight with in the beggining but they probably reveal their official better suit in like, the final battle.

It takes place in the 60's they definitely thought about what would the Fantastic 4 suits would look like if the movie was made in the 60"s.
They’re going for a retro future 60s look. Of course some aren’t gonna like it but hey I give them props for trying something different than the modern looks we’ve got.
My guess is that this suit will be the one they go up into space with, and then later they will rework them into the actual suits. Because yeah, that suit does look kinda jank for a big MCU production.

I think that this is like a captain America first avenger sorta thing, it’s a suit to show off to the public for fame and to show off what they would look like, I think it definetly could possibly look like the older suit but for now we will just have to wait and see
For me the design isn’t the problem, I think it’s great, it’s the fact that it looks like a costume more than a suit, if they made it more ‘3D’ looking it would be perfect
This as it seems is a space suit, when they still haven't got to space yet, Ben Grimm looks human there, so they might have an actual super-hero suit, and it's also a great nod to the white and blue classic suits
1. This film is taking place on an alternate earth thats modeled after 60s retro futurism. So sleek modern suits would be out of place.
2. This is a very comic accurate look and all suits are touched up with CGI. These characters aren't meant to be conventional superheroes, but scientists and explorers. Their suits are modeled clearly after 60s era space suits.
3. These promotional images are just that, promotional images. They just began filming last month and all the images and videos leaked were basically camera tests to show the audience what aesthetic the director Matt Shakman is going for and the look of the team They are not scenes or stills from the actual film. Therefore, they likely don't represent the look in the final product.

Its good that we get something new and fresh everytime they make these films. Seeing the same thing is repetitive and boring. I think it looks fantastic. The blue and white really work together.
It’s most likely a prototype suit. But it could also be what they wear under the astronaut suits. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

The suit fits well with the aesthetic of the retrofuturistic setting. From the leaks it looks to be a highly stylized 1960s, sort of wandavision-esque in terms of aesthetics

People don't consider the setting and theme of the film. Example is TASM(2012). It's supposed to be a darker take on Spider-Man. Hence, the Spider logo looking very animal and skeletal like to look more "dark". Now imagine Andrew using the MCU Spider logo in his suit..
It's not supposed to look modern. If you've actually picked up a comic based upon the FF, you'd know that it's the best live action design we've ever gotten.

I think a lot of it is recency bias. Chris Evans just reprised the role in Deadpool 3, so people are gonna remember the movie a lot more fondly than they usually do. Let's not pretend like that Fantastic Four movie wasn't a piece of shit, because it was and it still is. I mean I love it, but it's a piece of shit.
