"Whosoever wields it, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor." Steve needed to wield Mjolnir. If Thor was wielding Mjolnir, Steve would no longer have the power of Thor, and having 2 Thors on the battlefield is better than a single Thor.

He would have still had the power because you have to remember Stormbreaker is sentient. It’s cannon so I’m sure storm breaker would have given him the power, but it’s really just that it felt betrayed by Thor so it went to captain so this video and concept entirely is useless and not cannon

mjolnir doesn't judge power levels. it judges worthyness. you can be weak physically, but worthy, and holding mjolnir gives you the power of thor. it's more of an ethics question then a physical power one.
a good example is Throg or simon waterson, a human cursed to be a frog. as a frog, he was still deemed worthy and has the powers of thor.

If Steve dual wielded Stormbreaker and Mjolnir then he would gain the power of (base level) Thor and have it amplified by SB. But that would be a less efficient use of resources, which is what I think Thor was really doing (using the weapons most efficiently). Mjolnir had become redundant in Thor's hands, giving him no more power than he already had. And Steve dual wielding would leave Thor without a weapon, and SB not amplify his King of Asgard power, which is just a greater power multiplier than amplifying the base level Thor power that Mjolnir grants.

7:11 Much as I do like this line of thought, I'd like to present an alternative. We all know Thor is extremely protective of Mjolnir, and still relied on it as recently as earlier that day, in needing to remind himself that he was still worthy.
Odin's enchantment on the hammer was "whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor." Much as he respected Steve, I think he was also deferring to Odin's judgment, more than offering his own blessing. After all, Thor was still swimming his way out of his depression while in a battle for the universe's survival, and Thanos did just get through whipping Thor's ass pretty thoroughly until Steve saved him with Mjolnir.

Or that off screen affair that Infinity War eluded to with Nat after Bruce's return.
or his seemingly 100% loyalty to the US that did a full 180 in the Avengers after learning SHIELD had its own agenda and secrets essentially turning him into a double agent right then and there only utilizing the perks that came from SHIELD resources and Stark Tech before periodically falling off the grid when he pleased.
What knowing the truth about a close friend and keeping it a secret until the two of them had an all out Civil War?
What about the fact that we know he made out with Peggy's niece... only to come to the later realization that when he refused to return to his rightful spot in the timeline and married Peggy. Agent 13 essentially became his niece. He made out with his own niece! or he intervened with the sacred timeline further more to prevent that.
      So much corruption.
I was thinking I might be able to come up with one funny notion about Cap to make him seem corrupt and we'd all get a laugh out of it. It wasn't that Thor trusted Cap with his power, Cap proved worthy as the requirement of the enchantment Odin himself put on the hammer in the 1st Thor movie. Some people say that the enchantment should have worn off after Odin died and that would allow anyone to use the hammer but the timeline the hammer comes from is one where Odin is still alive which the enchantment would still be effective. I think Thor was worried about Cap being able to wield the power of strombreaker without immediate side effects because in Age of Ulton during the lifting contest, Cap was the only one who was able to move the hammer and Thor got worried and then immediately relieved when Cap didn't life it. I also think that Hela being able to hold the hammer and then destroy it is because, she was was only released after Odin died which released the enchantment on the hammer.

      Asgardian Enchantments are...tricky.
In Norse Mythology, as well as the Marvel Universe, Asgardian "spells" (for lack of a better term) are based more on Belief than on the Power of the Caster, and the same goes for the All Father.
While you wouldn't necessarily call it "worship", Odin's power as the All Father comes from the Belief of his subjects in his power and ability to keep them safe and maintain order: this is why Odin grew progressively more powerful with each Realm he conquered/liberated.
The same is true of the "spell" he placed on Mjolnir: even though Odin may be dead, the Enchantment hasn't ended because more people (Thor in particular, being the new All Father) still believe it remains in effect...so it did.
If Thor were ever to convince himself that the spell SHOULD have died with Odin then it might, but since in Thor's mind that's how it has always been and how it always should be, that's how it is.

I think the biggest sign of respect is when Cap first wields Mjolner and Thor says "I knew it!" with a laugh. He wasn't jealous or angry, but genuinely happy to see that Cap was worthy to wield the weapon. You can argue about when he had the thought Cap might be able to wield Mjolner, whether it was Age of Ultron or sometime else, but overall, it showed that Thor definitely respected Cap.

Eye test: MCU super soldiers are Bo Jackson times 20. Steve Rogers power to weight ratio is 60 watts/lb. Peter Parker and the average asgardian about 180 watts/lb...but the asgardians weigh 3 times as much as a similar sized human. Thor is a different thing altogether- around 1200 watts/lb at 640lbs. The gap in physical power between Thor and Peter is greater than the gap between Steve and Bo Jackson.

I think that strombreaker channelize and amplifies the lightning and transferring it to thor's body (thunder power) !
Which on other hand mjolnir also channelize (less than strombreaker) the lightning but it can't amplify it. It only helps in like training wheels to use lightning powers other than thor. But with strombreaker it's bit different it not only grants the user beable to use lightning powers but also harness it (which probably only thor can).
As thor is an asgardian and god of thunder himself it doesn't affect or damage him.
On other side captain is simply a super human which has human limitations.
Like the lightning channelized through strombreaker could hurt captain's skin or internal organ, muscles damage.
That's why thor didn't let captain use the strombreaker and gave him mjolnir to use.
CAN THIS BE A POSSIBILITY ?

Although I understand where you're coming from, in the fact that when Thor took back his hammer from Captain Rogers, part of it was because the power might have been too great for Rogers but the are there part of it is he literally sacrificed his life to make that axe, and as you said it amplifies this power. If Steve Rogers had stormbreaker for the rest of the fight, Thor's power would have been weaker, because as you said stormbreaker amplifies his power it wasn't just that he was worried about Roger's mind and body. It was the fact that he was worried that he would not have the power to help the avengers win if he did not have stormbreaker by his side. Any new that giving Rogers mjolnir, would not only make Steve stronger. It would help bring the avengers the win. Because their combined strength and skills are what helped them defeat Thanos, and distract him, and bring the downfall of the mad titan.

His body before he activated his celestial powers through Ego was able to handle it. He also kicked major ass in Guardians 3. The gene is what channeled his powers, and now being inactive, he's a 'just a human'. But let's dig into the meaning of Ego's words. It was a tone of frustration and mockery that Quill would give up all of that power to change and transform the Universe for friends and family that he already had. Ego understood more than anyone how short and fleeting human life was, cared for what his son could become- but didn't care for his son the way he was, like Yondu did. This phrase alone is not substantive enough evidence, especially given the other scenes (confounding variables): Peter Quill's celestial power, now activated, was being sucked out of Ego because Ego was weak alone. I rest my case. Mjolnir was specifically designed to teach, tame, and harness Thor's power, no one else.
When Oden cast him out, he used the Allfather magic to curse Mjolnir, saying 'He, whoever holds this hammer, if they be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor'.
This is what gives Steve or anyone else worthy, the power of Thor when they use Mjolnir.
They are not getting Mjolnir's power, they are getting Thors power, from the curse, which Mjolnir channels.
If not for the allfathers curse, Mjolnir would just be a hammer for anyone else, of any race.
Now Stormbreaker is another thing entirely, it's definitely an amplifier and Kings weapon, but the secret is, due to how it was forged, it has part of Thor's soul in it.
Why else did he "need the axe" as he lay "dying" from holding the iris open on the forge, and it came to his hand with him being unconscious?
It is now a part of him.

Mjolnir doesn't allow people to channel the thunder powers of Thor, and wasn't specifically made for Thor, it is the "Prince" weapon, meant for the heir of the King of Asgard to wield, that's why Hela used it and had it before Thor was even born. The only reason why Jane and Rodgers would have "Thor Powers", was specifically because of the enchantment Odin put on the hammer in the first Thor movie. Before this, anyone with sufficient strength would have likely been capable of lifting Mjolnir, and would not have Thor powers.
Stormbreaker was likely intended to be a "King" weapon for Thor when he eventually took over as King of Asgard. Stormbreaker was the "New Hotness" for Thor and he was likely not willing to let anyone use it, as it was like a new toy for him. Though, there could be something regarding his comment to the Guardians, unless he felt it wasn't a smart idea to entrust such powerful weapons in the hands of Mortals, and complete strangers at that, and so he came up with a plausible lie or stretched the truth to avoid having to make similar weapons for them.

There's not a single hint at Stormbreaker being invented strictly for Thor's ascension. Traditionally, the reigning king of asgard wields Gungnir, Odins spear. Which does everything what Stormbreaker can, but is also capable of directly channeling Energyblasts from the Odinforce and controlling the Destroyer. However, that one got lost during Ragnarök, thats why the Director had to come up with another King's weapon and decided to use the mcu variant of Stormbreaker. Which by comic lore would be nothing more than a 1:1 copy of Mjolnir, including the enchantments.

Whether or not someone with the mental resilience Steve surely had and such an incredibly strong body could handle the weapon is unclear. He was physically proven to be above all the Guardians' strength because Drax and Gamora would never even approach Thanos in raw strength while Steve was able to at least hold his hand still using only his own body. He was also a hardened soldier, had a strong set of ideals driving him as a good mental barrier against some things, and it's unclear in the MCU version but his comic equivalent was resistant to psionics.
What is very confirmable is that Mjolnir in the hands of anyone able to use it would be an upgrade which we clearly saw made Steve both stronger and able to use lightning, while we know Stormbreaker was designed personally for Thor and he very clearly got more dangerous using it. Timeline for comparison: We see Thor early and he's very powerful, but lost that without Mjolnir until Ragnarok when he loses it a second time. At that point Odin appears to him and he realizes the hammer was just a tool and that while a good weapon on its own, it was actually just more easily enabling what Thor always had with him then he starts using the same power without it. After making Stormbreaker, he still displays being a step up in power and is outputting more force than he did before, such as obliterating that massive structure in his THORth movie (haha).
When he tells Steve to use Mjolnir instead, there are three possible reasons he just tosses him that hammer. It's not totally clear although feasible that Steve could use Stormbreaker, it granted him no major advantages over Mjolnir, and most importantly Thor knew he could actually use Mjolnir.
Back in Age of Ultron, Steve moved the hammer slightly and pretended it didn't, probably because he didn't want to hurt Thor's pride. Thor still noticed and was looking very intently at this, and later says "I knew it" when Steve uses Mjolnir. He had expected that would work ever since the pre-Ultron party, and on that battlefield may even have had specific interest in seeing how well Steve would wield the weapon.

      1) Thor never identified as the next King of Asgard in the MCU. In fact the major part of his character arc is about realizing this.
      2) While Stormbreaker is meant to be a weapon of kings, it can be wielded by any worthy person, just like Mjolnir. Love is worthy. And he promised to protect her with all he has.
      3) Love is infused with the essence of eternity which basically puts her miles and miles ahead of Thor in terms of power. Giving her the power magnifying weapon makes perfect sense since she will get more out of it. And not suffer from the negative side-effect of an asgardian weapon.

The obvious reason is given in the Thor movies. Magic is explained to be the science which humans dont understand yet and Thor claims that both magic and science are the same thing in Asgard. Which means, there is a logic explanation for asgardians possessing superhuman physical and mental powers. Asgardian weapons made out of Uru are explained to draw the power for their enchantments out of the wielding person's life force. Thats why wielding Mjolnir prevented Jane Foster from dealing with her cancer disease. Thor just enchanted Mjolnir accept to Jane wielding it whenever she needs protection. She does get the capabilities of a thunder god just like a worthy person, but just like with those worthy individuals the source of the power is neither Mjolnir nor Thor, but Jane's own body and mind. Since Stormbreaker seems to be planned with Future King Thor in mind - the name is pretty obvious isnt it - it makes sense that Thor can summon it at will. My assumption is that the whole enchanting package from Mjolnir was copypasted on top of Stormbreaker, including the worthy enchantment and those neat upgrades. Yes, both Thanos and Gorr were able to move Stormbreaker. But only by sheer force because of their pure strenght being in the same Tier as Hela (Thanos being half deviant, half eternal and Gorr being supercharged by the cursed Necrosword). You also notice that Thanos utilized the return mechanism of Stormbreaker to his advantage and Gorr basically dragged it across the floor like an unwilling child. Neither of the two was actually wielding it. Taking this all into consideration my conclusion is that Thor really was worried about the physical and mental toll Stormbreaker would place upon Steve Rogers. As I said, there is no such thing as 'magic' in asgard, those feats are all physical and mental attributes in the end. Stormbreaker would enhance whatever is avaiable, in case of Captain America his superhuman strenght, speed, reflexes, stamina and combat iq. At a huge cost of his life force though, since that weapon enchantment was built for beings with a far superior life force, besides being able to replenish it by entering the Odinsleep.

It's probably just for the joke in the movie. But looking at it like this, it's for sure the enchantment. Theoretically ANYONE could wield Mjolnir, and therefor, possess the power of Thor.
So it's like, Mjolnir doesn't exactly require strength to wield (as it's base requirement I mean).
As an object it probably is heavy af. But I think when a person has the heart to wield it, it becomes almost weightless for the person using it.
Kind of reminds me of pulling the Master Sword in BOTW. Since you need more heart(s) to pull it.
But Stormbreaker probably doesn't have that "ease of use" thing going on for the person wielding it. So it probably doesn't protect the user from potential muscle strain, or the mind collapsing into madness thing.
Although I'm kind of bummed we never saw Bruce use Stormbreaker for a second. But that could've possibly reverted him back to regular Hulk tbh.

So I don't think Steve Rogers' feeble mind is prepared to have access to at least galactic level of awareness. Rogers can't think beyond his planetary scale dimensions, seems similar to how the Ultimate Nullifier needs a focused mind to use it or else the user gets wiped out too. Also since Valkyrie is currently the King/Queen of Asgard, does that mean she can tap into OdinForce or Thor still has it and she's just a ruler in name and not by power.

Well in the comics Stormbreaker is a literal carbon copy of Mjolnir including enchantments, exept it doesnt follow the 60-second rule. The MCU just turned Stormbreaker into a way more powerful King's Weapon because Gungnir (Odin's spear) was lost. Intentionally lost, because Gungnir is a direct link to the Odinforce and therefore allows reigning Allfathers to banish other asgardians. Wouldve been a lame movie if Thor couldve just snatched the spear and sent Hela back to her interdimensional prison.

As others have said, Mjolnir doesn't grant Thor's powers because it was "made to train Thor." Mjolnir wielders gain Thor's powers due to the enchantment Odin places on the hammer in the first Thor movie. This is basic, foundational Thor lore.
Mjolnir was also older than Thor, which we know from Ragnarok when we learn Hela used to wield the hammer. This further shows it wasn't designed for Thor.
Your overall premise that Steve Rogers may be unable to wield Stormbreaker is valid, but do much of the rest of this video is just incorrect to the point that I'm wondering if it was intentional to drive activity on the video by people calling you out...
