I wasn't too sure about this game, but based on this take, I may pick it up to play with my brother. We don't game together very often anymore, but this seems like the kinda game that might bring that back
Considering he's had the president of Nintendo of America on his show, he's definitely on alotta people's radar despite the fact he's not as popular as say, Markiplier or even MatPat of the Game Theorists.

Did you know that the name "Death Drive Mk II" is also a reference to another Grasshopper game called "Let it Die"? In it, you play as someone playing a console called the "Death Drive 128" playing as the actual player character you play as.
I have to admit I wasn't a big fan of the review format change at first. But once I learned how to follow the structure of the new reviews I'm enjoying them a lot more and it's clear you're having a lot more fun experimenting with your style of videos and delivery. Keep on doing what you're doing Mr.Completionist!
Considering Dangit Grandpa is a visual novel with very little actual interaction, I doubt it would make for a good episode. He did do Ace Attorney but still, there isn't much gameplay in those games.
@@AirahsELL I don't really consider Ace Attorney or Danganronpa visual novels. Sure they have plenty of text but there is plenty of thought that goes into the truth bullet segments that I think add an aspect of meaningful gameplay to the series.
Imo Suda51 does focus on subtlety a good bit. Its definitely not a primary focus, but ESPECIALLY in this game theres a lot of subtlety to Travis's character and how he looks at things. Or to put it another way, if you want subtlety its definitely there, but if thats not your thing it won't get in the way of you enjoying his games.
Every character in No More Heroes is aware of the fourth wall. Their various mentalities can be argued to be their ways of coping with the knowledge that they're not the player character and are thus not immune to death.

Every two seconds in any Deadpool media he just looks at the camera and goes “THIS IS A MOVIE/COMIC!! LAUGH!!” while the No More Heroes games find more creative ways to break the fourth wall. The best example is definitely Silver Face in TSA. Him getting mad that people bought the DLC just for Bad Girl was amazing.

I disagree with any Deadpool media being like this though, the comics (The good ones anyways, like Joe Kelly) explore Deadpool's character more and Deadpool in the comics actually is extremely complex and uses jokes to cope with the trauma he faced from weapon X, (there's even actually one scene where Deadpool gets raped, it's played extremely seriously) but the game just completely ignored that and did even worst character assassination arguably then even Origins Deadpool, hell Deadpool doesn't even like chimichangas that much The worst part is that this game was written by Daniel Way, a person who's been writing Deadpool for years at this point, even if his writing for Deadpool was mediocre, it still shouldn't be as bad as it was in the game.

Really enjoyed this game. And excited to play the dlc i got with the physical version! Honestly this is probably the best gameplay version of no more heroes yet. Although i do wish they went a bit more all out with the production value. No resson the golame couldnt have been fully voice acted. They had the voice actors

I just think that it's super cool how suda himself was such a big part of this video. Like, he didn't just say a line or two, he was consistently adding in parts throughout the entire thing. That's something that's *really* cool of a developer to do.

I’m enjoying the new format of the show, but I truly think my favorite part is the new remixes of completion bonus music. Hearing the DK tune we know and love get a sweet remix to match the soundtrack of the game being discussed is SUCH a good decision. Nice work!
Thing is, this isnt even named No More Heroes its just the surname, this game is called Travis Strikes Again so its kinda understandable to be a spinoff or a side game rather than the new main entry of the series. Yeah is simplistic and rather basic in nature, but i think its the whole theme of the game besides Travis ends up inside a more simple game than NMH is. And this is just a entry on a much bigger universe, and man seeing Killer 7 characters alongside Travis and Shinobu from all people is always a treat.
I have to say, Suda51 seems like a genuine person too, really humorous to watch, but I still need to play No More Heroes for you Suda! I will give it a shot, and here is to this game becoming a success!
I beg of you. Do Yakuza 0! The entire series offers a pretty hefty challenge, and you even get significant gameplay rewards when you spend your completion points. I'm doing it myself right now and I'm at about 98%. It's been fun so far but good lord Mahjong is kicking my ass.
I fully agree about Yakuza 0 would love to see the compleationist run through it. Still also waiting on the compleationist finally at long last doing an episode on Persona 5
@@montengro234 Completing Payday 2 is a hell that is worst than any Yakuza game seeing as there's over 1000 achievements and some of them are a pain to do. I'd still like to see him do both franchise though.
@@sonicthehedgehog1416 FUCK payday 2, dude. They intentionally gimped the game with a patch a week after launch to make the progress far slower. You get like a 1/3rd of the money you got before and as a result everything takes forever. The achievements are literal memes, its cringy and unfunny.

This is the one time I'll ever 'like' a video when I'm told to instead of disliking, just because it was HIM who told me to. Also oh MY GOD HOW DID I NOT REALIZE THE SKILL CHIP NAMES WERE GUNDAM REFERENCES?! I saw the turn-A chip [I don't know how to type that inverted A shit fuck off] and thought it was a coincidence, bruh that's sick as hell. Though I am a bit annoyed I struggled through half the game at level 1 because Dr.Juvenile implied there might be a bonus for clearing the game "like a real gamer" during the tutorial in Electric Thunder Tiger II

I took a chance on No More Heroes 3 because there’s not a lot of action games on switch that have great combat that are exclusives or that are good ports. I mostly love No More Heroes 3 so I went and ordered No More Heroes, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, and even Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes. I’ve never been a fan of Suda51 or Grasshopper but man recently I’ve been on a no more heroes kick. I really hope the rest are as good as the most recent. All I gotta say is the switch needs more action games… thanks for the video!! No More Heroes sucks at racing. NMH3 open world bike driving is dope and good enough but the racing side jobs taking out a boss in a car is easy but getting there and defeating the boss car by ramming it enough times by the end of the time limit is hard. Very insane turns. Travis strikes again racing doesn’t look so good either. That’s one area in his games that need work and to make all side jobs be combat related or at least assassin related. I hope by the next game Travis gets a laser cannon blaster handgun or something to keep expanding on what is already great. I hope Suda51 and Grasshopper keeps No More Heroes as a series or at least makes more action games just as good. It sucks I was late to the party. I hope for some action games in the future that are great. Action titles that aren’t musou warriors. Action games with boss fights are fun as hell!!
Nice work completing Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes. I saw the game got quite a bit of negative feedback, but hopefully the DLC will make the game a little more worthwhile for people. I'll try to give the game a shot, sometime. Looking forward to that RE2: Remake review Jirard. It'll be the second game on your channel that you've completed two different versions of. Since you did both versions of Aladdin before. And now you'll have completed RE2 on PSX and presumably on PS4? Fully voicing was probably way too much money than they could handle, considering it sounds like this game had a pretty small production budget.
I’d like it to be fully voiced too but I’ll live with it cuz the music in this game was so good and they didn’t even mention it.

Though I am a bit annoyed I struggled through half the game at level 1 because Dr.Juvenile implied there might be a bonus for clearing the game "like a real gamer" during the tutorial in Electric Thunder Tiger II

I took a chance on No More Heroes 3 because there’s not a lot of action games on switch that have great combat that are exclusives or that are good ports. I mostly love No More Heroes 3 so I went and ordered No More Heroes, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, and even Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes. I’ve never been a fan of Suda51 or Grasshopper but man recently I’ve been on a no more heroes kick. I really hope the rest are as good as the most recent. All I gotta say is the switch needs more action games… thanks for the video!! No More Heroes sucks at racing. NMH3 open world bike driving is dope and good enough but the racing side jobs taking out a boss in a car is easy but getting there and defeating the boss car by ramming it enough times by the end of the time limit is hard. Very insane turns. Travis strikes again racing doesn’t look so good either. That’s one area in his games that need work and to make all side jobs be combat related or at least assassin related. I hope by the next game Travis gets a laser cannon blaster handgun or something to keep expanding on what is already great. I hope Suda51 and Grasshopper keeps No More Heroes as a series or at least makes more action games just as good. It sucks I was late to the party. I hope for some action games in the future that are great. Action titles that aren’t musou warriors. Action games with boss fights are fun as hell!!

Nice work completing Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes. I saw the game got quite a bit of negative feedback, but hopefully the DLC will make the game a little more worthwhile for people. I'll try to give the game a shot, sometime.
Looking forward to that RE2: Remake review Jirard. It'll be the second game on your channel that you've completed two different versions of. Since you did both versions of Aladdin before. And now you'll have completed RE2 on PSX and presumably on PS4? After RE2, maybe you could take a look at the Resident Evil Remaster on PS4/other systems as well? =D
