(Up to trying anything) Well that, and, what about a small Japanese candy in each box? from like, not the rad person that sent you the box, but like from company funds or something.. Something that would be super cool would be a sketchbook with different types of watercolor paper? Or just different types of paper? Idk cause it would help me try out different types of paper without having to buy huge sheets of watercolor paper. I think everything the stationary selection puts into each set is so unique and colorful and very cute!!! (Insta: chung.ek)
chung:ek you could make your own sketchbook for that purpose. I make my own using the TH-cam Chanel sea lemon kettle stitch which lays completely flat. I got the sewing supplies from shepherds bookbinding London, the linen sewing thread for £12.95 and £14.50 is great and the curved needles are a must, I prefer large but small is good too however I had one break from small. Then you can use any paper and any size. I use a mixture of tones like brown paper and greys as well as whites to make a versatile sketchbook for on the go. You can also add watercolour or mixed media paper too
I love everything about this box, especially its unique palette! ♥️ I would love to see more watercolor palettes in future boxes, as well as paint brushes, pencils, (white) gel pens, washi tapes, mixed media notebooks/notepads, stickers, and ink stamps to experiment with! 😄

I love how such a simple painting can turn out sooooo cute. I think it would be cool if more traditional brushes and paints that would otherwise be unavailable in different countries. This came out so well! I loved seeing the whole process. I purchased my first box from The Stationery Selection a few days ago and I'm so excited to discover what's in it! As others said, it would be great to include some gouache paints but also, if possible, more sustainable or eco friendly art tools. I know most of them are in plastic or come wrapped in plastic, so perhaps something that is more on the 'natural' side of thing would be nice to try :) other than that, I think it's great as it is and it's exciting to get something new every month. Loved this box and gutted I missed it! Also your videos and account are a great source of inspiration (: my IG account is marth11
I’m in love with inks and watercolours so I was completely blown away by this box! For future boxes, it would be great if it there were more Japanese watercolours/inks, brush pens, and Japanese calligraphy brushes. It love stationary too (stickers, washy tapes, pencils, notebooks, etc) so it would be really cool if you could have art months and stationary months that have a mix of both but mainly focus on either art supplies (like this month’s) or stationary (less art oriented). This way the boxes will attract a wider group audience that seeks different goods.

ohmanholyshit 07 definitely a hard pencil like h or h3 but for the line art sakura archive ink pens are bomb cause they dont spill or smudge like alcoholic markers
i haven’t tried it but apparently using coloured pencils works a lot better than graphite pencils in terms of smudging :)
From what I learned in a long journey, to get a nice result, you should:
1. Do the sketch in red (buy a really, really REALLY cheap color) the less opacity the better
2. Erase all your red lines (Chill, it will not dissapear)
3. Draw over it with a mechanical pencil or any HB pencil that way you'll get a finer look.
4. Erase everything again (Chill again, erasing it wont take the pencil away, you'll be able to see where to draw.
5. TIME FOR WATERCOLOR, Do whateva the hell you want.
6. Ink, I prefer to ink at the end to see which places need ink and which don't. (I do it becausw most of the time, other pens bleed with watercolor, and when you ink at the end you'll alwaya get surprised at the finished art piece)

Those watercolor paints are so rich! I bought a 12 color set from Yasutomo and love how versatile they are. I'd love to see different watercolor sets featured in future boxes, as well as other watercolor sketchbooks (I'm always on the lookout for new sketchbooks or paper pads because I'm really picky). AND those owl stickers are too cute ToT
I really love the videos you post, it's so relaxing and it Inspires me to draw and watercolor when I'm in an art block or just need inspiration. so in love with these art supplies and your style!! I've been trying to sketch more and taking an architecture class online this summer really taught me to be okay with imperfection and messy lines since I would sketch the buildings talked about in the lecture and forced myself to spend only spend 5-10 minutes on a drawing. anyway I love urban sketching even more and I really enjoy the loose style :)

A lot of boxes look like they're a bunch of random supplies that don't go together, but these supplies ACTUALLY look like they could be used together to make a cohesive piece! Honestly amazing!

I think more vintage/moody watercolor palette and alcohol based inks would also add different medium. Copics and micron pens are a must anyways.. so subscription boxes should help you refill the stalk.

This box is awesomee! I love the fact that everything inside is unique and hasn't really been seen before! Another box idea could be a printmaking one, it would include a block of lino and some inking tools and inks. These are beautiful giant wait until I can subscribe. I'd like to see samples of Japanese hand made papers, or those 1.5"-2" sized stickers that are cut and come in a box of 20 or so or anything that I can add to my journals and art.
