THIS WORKS! i’ve taken apart my xbox one s so many times now, that most of these methods won’t work for me. But this method works! It only took abt 20 minutes of my time to download and install everything into my xbox.

Wow I started with error 102, I did all these steps and got to 72% it stopped working, and I now had a error 105. I got mad and pulled the plug out of the back of my Xbox, I came back 20min later, plugged the power back in, and turned on holding power and disk drive button... what do you know my Xbox started from 72% and finished updating. I now have a working console after 3months of no use.... so I guess what iam saying is thank you 🙏🏽

@@izetberisa2873you have to need a pc and 5gb or more hard drive to order to download Microsoft file to fix your console and make sure there nothing in your hard drive or it won’t work so delete everything expect the Microsoft file in your hard drive but for now I forgot everything so focused the video by step by step

@@nurlowe6564 tbh all I’ve ever had to use was OSU 1. When I wrote that comment I was using an old operating system on my thumb drive which is why it didn’t work the first time. But after installing the latest OSU 1 file it worked. So just try that first lol.

I have been running around in circles trying for MONTHS to get my xbox working again, tried every single option and have been so frustrated, tried the other OSU's as suggested on mc site and forums, hard restarts and resets, then found your video and was FINALLY able to get the offline update available!!!! I was on the exact same version as yours which is apparently an insider program version which was confusing because i dont remember ever enrolling in it to begin with. Currently on the update screen which i havent been able to access since last year when my console got into the system error loop. Praying that the update completes and so grateful to have found your vid. Gave you a sub youre amazing THANK YOU

Can I use this method to configure a 2.5" HDD to turn it into an internal Xbox One S HDD?
I don't have an usb to SATA cable but I do have an external case.

When installing new internal drive do we need to format it make single partition before through PC or just insert Fresh drive directly and use flash drive osu1 file
If it's a brand new drive then simply put it inside and install updates. If it's a used one I'd recommend removing all partitions from the drive to make it look like a brand new one. Of course Xbox during updates installing can reformat the drive and remove those partitions but I've seen some cases with used drives when some partitions were encrypted or protected somehow and the console wasn't been able to reformat the drive.

What USB drive did you use? I have tried two with the system update on both of them but neither of them made the update option light up.
You need a regular 8GB or larger USB drive. Make sure that your USB drive was formatted into the NTFS file system and the $SystemUpdate folder is in the root directory of your USB drive.

What was wrong
@negativecloudzplus5733 I was a member of the insider program and I also used a usb 3.0 instead of 2.0 and that also might have fixed it.Once my xbox left the program I factory reset it.Than I inserted the ssd and usb hopefully this helps u also be sure to use the right usb because some of them doesn't support xbox 👍
Btw the unenroll of insider program may take some time so be patient 😀

There will be two option with keeping and removing your data.
To be clear if I replace my hdd I dont have to clone or anything? I can just install it using the usb?
That's right! Just put a new drive inside and install OS. And after you log in into your Xbox account and reinstall all your games your game progress will be back.

This may theoretically work to downgrade an Xbox One Firmware if you can get an older firmware
If changing from a HDD to SSD, do you think a clean reinstall is better than cloning the drives? Is there any issues with cloning the drives?

If you clone your HDD to the same capacity SSD then it's relatively safe. But again, I never recommend cloning because reliability wise it's not the best option. For example, you might encounter some issues with the system updates or after you hard reset your console.

Mine fails after the first reboot right before install with System Error: E100 00000703 80910002 coukd this be due to system software is newer than OSU1 release software and it sees it as a “downgrade” ? Or just that it cannot partition the new ssd ?
Hey dude, do you happen to have the OSU1 file that you can share? the link on xbox is no longer working and can find it nowhere else, also thank you for your detail guides they are awesome, just recently made a repaste on my one X with it.
All links work perfectly fine! Microsoft constantly updates those files, so don't even try to download from not official websites because it's not gonna work. Maybe try proxy or another browser if you can't open the link.

You can use any USB drive with minimum 8Gb capacity.
Hey man, i did this and it worked….. for a While at least. It started doing the start up error once again and then I did it again. And now again but this time I can’t update it or do anything it doesn’t let me do anything. It just say Something happened with my saved games. Do you think replacing the hard drive will do it?

Just try to update it with OSU1 if it doesn't work then use OSU2 too.

You need a USB to SATA adapter or a computer in which you can install you HDD. Does it show any errors or it just stuck at 0%?

I am in the process of doing an USB offline update right now and it is stuck on the 'preparing console' screen with 0% progress at the bottom, I am expecting to see another error code shortly.
update, it made it past the 'preparing the console' screen but has been stuck on the 'updating' screen at 1% for close to an hour. I'm just going to remain patient for the time being and see how it unfolds

Hi, i cant find any help about my issue, maybe you can advice me.
I press the turn on button, then after five seconds it sounds the turn off sound and the xbox shuts down.
Nothing is beign displayed on the screen.
I´ve tried eject + sync + power on and the same happens) cannot make the reset menu to appear.
I´ve also opened it to clear the fan because i though it was turning off because of heat and fan not spinning, but it was not the case :/

I was so frazzled when mine wouldn't boot up fully, I took it to get fixed after exhausting every troubleshooting method. It would go straight to black after the logo and welcome. This is what they are doing I guess. I could have done this and save $80. I will subscribe to your page for future reference.
If you can't see the startup animation it's OK (it happens after you reinstall Xbox "OS") it will be back after next Xbox update.

I got a xbox from someone but there is an account so if I delete everything from the HDrive would it ask for the password or anything like that? or this become like factory reset? let me know thanks
After hard reset it will be just like out of the box and you'll need to either enter the credentials of that user or create your own Xbox account. If you already played some games under that account and have a lot of saves then with a new account you won't be able to get your game progress back, so you'll have to start from the beginning.
Will it make any difference if I just copy and paste the files as to copying the folder over
Why you should do that? it's not gonna work, just reinstall Xbox "OS" from a USB drive and after you install your games and login to your account all your game progress will be back.

You can use any 2.5" 500GB, 1TB or 2TB HDD or SSD in your console. Simply put it inside and instal Xbox OS from a USB drive. It's similar to installing Windows. The process is extremely simple and will take less than an hour.
I did everything and clicked the button to offline update but it simply gave up the process after 1 second in 😵

You can use any device which allows you to format your USB drive into the NTFS file system and copy to that drive the $SystemUpdate folder.

Yes, that's right. Just wait for a new release. Sometimes they make those new offline updates available for download at the same time as the automatic update by your console, and sometimes you have to wait for a couple of weeks.

If your system is not corrupted you can simply load into a troubleshoot mode and reset your Xbox to defaults. There are two options with keeping your data and without. If you reinstall OS from USB drive it will completely wipe all your data.

It's super easy process that everyone can do. It's definitely worth upgrading.
One X with internal SSD Is over the top, but dont buy cheap SSD or dramless. 😉 Best sata 3 are 860evo/MX 500
so my only problem is i factory reset it before then after that it didnt want to connect to my tv or controller but it still turns on i tried everything and now im not sure how i can do this because i cannot get to the troubleshoot page
Try to connect your controller via cable and perform boot into the troubleshooting mode.
When I click offline system update with my usb in it just says something went wrong and I click continue and it brings me back to the the troubleshoot page any ideas?
Quick question: What if there are other things on the flashdrive other than the update? Will they get in the way?
Make sure that your USB drive was formatted into the NTFS file system and the $SystemUpdate folder is in the root directory of your USB drive.
