Hey guys, welcome back to my channel! In this video, I am making the brand new Davenport Dress pattern by Friday Pattern Company. It's a lovely throw on dress that can be made for all seasons. I'm making it in a lovely soft viscose in today's video, so I hope you enjoy seeing it come together.

That’s a lovely dress. I’m 61 but love Chelsea’s patterns. Have 2 sagebrushes, a wilder gown and I made the davenport last weekend. I love it and already have plans to make another. ❤️❤️

@@paigejoannaa thank you so much for your reply and what size did you choose i'm a beginner i've never used a pattern before but my size is between S an M so i'm not sure should i just try the S pattern?
Thanks for this video - really helpful to get your experience with sewing it! Do you mind me asking what size you made?
I love your taste in fabrication! Do you do anything special when sewing with viscose? I sewed my first dress out of it last week and was quite nervous about it, so I ironed it with spray starch and stay stitched all the edges. I stil had a tiny bit of trouble with it, but I'm happy with the dress in the end. Yours is so darling, I'm quite sure I'll have to buy that pattern!
Hello. I’d like to make this dress but with short sleeves. How can o do that?
Hey lovely! You could easily chop off the sleeve! Or maybe try using another Friday pattern sleeve like the patina or Donny shirt sleeve xx
