Hi Anne. Thanks so much for watching and your kind feedback. I nearly cried when I realised, but I love the finished dress so worth it in the end! 😀 I hope you’re having a lovely weekend. ❤️
Oh my days, an unpicking marathon…My repeat error is cutting the same sleeve, I still so it occasionally, the only thing to remedy this is, now I trace off a second sleeve… I finally gave in and made a Zadie jumpsuit and yes very late to the Zadie jumpsuit party, but what should have been a quick easy make has taken ages as I simply didn’t size down enough, it was hideously large… your dress looks lovely and I really like the tumbling hearts fabric, I have never really gravitated to the waist casings but your really looks a nice feature so I think I will give it a go. Hope you have fun on your evening out. Thank you for taking the time to share.
Oh, it was a marathon for sure! That’s a good idea about tracing off a second sleeve. And good to know that I’m not the only one who makes mistakes! The Zadie does need sizing down. I’m not usually one for doing that but I think it’s a must with that pattern. Both of mine were too big so I did loads of adjustments after they were sewn up, which does take ages so you have my sympathy! It was the first pattern where I learnt about swayback adjustments so I have to thank it for that at least and now I’m happy with them both although not rushing to make another! Thanks for your comments on my dress and for sharing what you’re up to - I really enjoyed reading about it. Happy sewing! ❤️
Too bad about your pattern piece mix up, but bravo for you in getting it all picked out and resembled. You must have nerves of steel! It all worked out though because your dress looks awesome!
Hi Lynn. Thanks so much. I couldn’t believe it! 😭 I had just done my triathlon so I was super tired and I’m giving myself a pass! The unpicking was heartbreaking but I’m so glad I did it and I’m very happy with dress. ❤️ I hope you have a lovely weekend.
Love your dress Nadia and how you’ve styled it 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. I admire your patience for getting through all that unpicking!! 👍🏻😀
