They did listen to you about the recoil scope bug, but then realised they made a mistake by listening to someone, then rebroke it 😂.
They most likely announced the anticheat beforehand because this is kernel-level AC, meaning it's embedded in Windows. And I believe from a regulatory perspective, you should announce that to the users to give them the choice to keep playing BFV or not. Can't install stuff on a kernel-level without telling people first.

How many players does a game have to have so people don't think it's "dead"? 100,000? BFV has more players than 2042. And that's just on steam. Even on Xbox here in Europe BFV has many full servers
5:37 flawless example on how ridiculously overpowered Falck is, the fact that you can heal yourself in a split second during combat is insane, there should be some form of cooldown that kicks in after you disengage combat before you can heal yourself. The gadgets and hero abilities in this game are so fucking inbalanced.

Community servers are pretty safe from cheaters. Official servers are riddled with spam texts and hackers from bots tho
They badmins also ban good players.

I think the issue is that all AAA games are made of several departments in one dev studio, each one responsible for their given roles, and each one giving orders to their underclass department. So maybe specifically in this case we had the end-developer guys (the core devs who actually program the game) and their department who actually makes those community programs and really want to listen and implement new ideas, fixes etc, but there's always the upper department who delays, edit, or straight up negate abd cancel the ideas of the other departments because of various business reasons like, not enough time, resources or they just think it's not profitable in the long short/long run.
I guess the issue now should be, if the next game is in development, why are they making the same mistake by not getting the community actively unvolved? Even having a development blog explaining their direction so we can flag any issues early on. Do multiple alphas & betas so the game gets heavily tested instead just the one demo a month out from launch, where nothing changes.
Imagine getting Shroud onboard... paying him for feedback, ideas or whatever, then totally ignoring him😂classic EA.

DICE and EA should absolutely be listening more to streamers and the community in general (and showing that they're listening). There is a balance though; it is often said that end-users are great at identifying problems and horrible at proposing fixes for them. And for every person who understands a game and it's design and gives well thought-out critique, there is one who will send you death threats for nerfing a weapon that was clearly overpowered (it was their crutch).
I believe they are collecting telemetry on cheaters with BFV.

@Enders, you're completely correct regarding DICE needing to only tell the community about the new anti-cheat AFTER they implement it. It's good to see it happen, but you have to wonder why in the world they'd tell the "enemy" that they're about to be "attacked".

people on cheating forums were saying ea anti cheat was easier to cheat on then easy anti cheat.... valorant has kernel, but that runs on startup, and closing it, you cannot launch the game, without rebooting and having it on.

I can't possibly comprehend the information you're sharing with me. Is it possible that I'm in a dream? I'm stunned by the actions of Dice and EA. Have they completely lost their sanity?
You have to tell people when you make big changes to software they install on their home PC. But what they are clearing missing is any sort of pipeline for effecting bans across the board. AC is worthless with no penalties. It's very possible that the AC is detecting cheats, but the players are not getting banned anyway.
Since they put Anticheat, the game doesn't open, loads the first screen and then bounces back to the laucner. Does this happen to anyone else?

I think the situation why they used top players who do not cheat who play consistently , and stream is for one reason for these top players not to play the game .
They are getting information on players as positive as they have been , the game they wanted is to make a certain amount of money .
Servers are not cheap .
They want players to play and eventually leave the game at a certain point not to play so they do not pay for the servers .
They are not going to make money on , they wait 2 years before the games are fixed .
I always wait until the many bugs are fixed before i play ,i keep my money in my pocket .

Gotta say as a console player. I have cross play on. (I don’t see a crazy skill difference) but cheating wise I see a ton of Xbox players cheating. Literally the other day in 2042 dude on Xbox had god mode on and speed shit. Was just going Mach 30 around the map knifing people. Craziest cheat I’ve seen in the past few years on BF.

I have a dev from dice in my friends list and i constantly fed him legit cheaters to ban in 2042. I must say that i helped to ban at least 10-15 cheaters out of which i have some also streamed on my channel, it's insane how many they are. Like mushrooms after rain.
Season 7 finally made me take a break. I tried out farming simulator, it's alot simpler and works

😂 I had that StreetNinjaNY guy in some of my games today, and he was calling out his teammates for cheating as well. It seems that he thinks he is the official EA Battlefield Police 🚓🚨, revealing all the cheaters, filing reports, enforcing the peace. Had me wondering if he actually plays the game or if he just watches the scoreboard.

It's been more popular than 2042 (player count wise) for MONTHS so let's call a win, a win here.
EA or Activision all want to make more money. They probably aren't going to make the margins they want with the existing fan base. They have to reach a wider audience. They get veteran players and others like Shroud, just to pacify them and others that they're still listening. Listening is probably what they are doing, translating what they're hearing into changes isn't what they're going to do.
When you got sponsorship from EA: *takes EA's money and say less negative.

I hope Battlefield 1 gets some more attention with a more modern anti cheat.
I think the problem is is that people know about these recurring issues in these recent BF titles and will still continue to buy the games anyway. If we all just stopped buying their garbage and boycotted to an extent, maybe, just maybe they'd start listening.

I think the people who are upset with Shroud over his statement that devs should listen to streamers understand that many streamers, not all, but a significant portion don't have the community's interest at heart. Like you said they are there for the bag and they want games that will bring the biggest bag so they will advocate for ideas that aren't healthy for games and the average player to facilitate said bag delivery. I think streamers have a responsibility to advocate for the the community and the health of the games they build their communities on. I believe Enders accomplishes that to a high level especially for the BF community. It's sad that many streamers just view their followers as a cash cow to be exploited.

My question: who were those content creators and what were their suggestions? I mean, is Shroud a BF player? Not really. No other well-known BF creators were asked, as I heard. So, I think they asked specifically STREAMERS and maybe they decided, their input was not a great fit for BF. Just maybe.

EA anti-cheat doesn't work. I encounter 1-2 cheaters in every lobby for 2042. This won't help BF5. BF1 & BF4 is "safer" with its rental servers. People moderate their lobbies and kick/ban the cheaters.
May I tell you that many Externel cheats bypass EAC so easily, so they render ESP and Aimbot Aim assist without n issue. It just takes 2 changes in ur bios to run the cheat without worrying getting banned. I can talk for a sure fact

There community servers, where there are active admins and pretty good anti cheat systems, even if anti cheat system doesnt detect cheater fast enough, i was always able to deal with them by contacting to admins in discord server, i banned already 15 blatant aimbot/wallhackers. One thing that i dont like about community servers is that u can get kicked from most of them bcs there are limitations like max 2kd and 2kpm by statistics, but there are still 3/4 server that i can play without hackers and there arent limitations there which is good. I dont think EA's anticheat system will be better than a human admin in community server so i will rather stay on them. Sorry for my english skills, im not native english speaker.

It won't be €5-10 forever. This is just a temporary Sale going on. And even if the price is permanently reduced to that level it would still act as some form of deterrent to cheating compared to what we have right now where nothing is done to ban cheaters.

On 2042? There's been a few lately, there are a lot of good players though that play every day. There is only 1 AU server on BFV PC which is a cringe hardcore community server.

I genuinely expected no better. The EA that worked with the community, and made an entire community driven map, is dead. This current DICE is a parasite feeding off the name and IP we love and is leaving a dry dying corpse.
I think there's a group that is upset that they went to Shroud for input vice some of the more popular streamers within the core community, such as yourself or someone like Flakfire. Personally, Shroud is a good source as you said, because he is a mechanical phenom and can instant detect terrible mechanics.
