Delta Force had the best sniping multiplayer game back in the day, played it in LAN days and it was the first tactical shooter for real that i ever played multiplayer. it was very hard to play and very real, bullet damage was insane and a 50 cal sniper rifle could ve down you from hundred meters away, the only problem is that shot was really hard to take as it had bullet drop and really a lot of mechanics which were insane for my brain at that time and for the gaming industry also but it became addictive. i remember there were only couple of lunatics who were playing this game in a LAN cafe where we usually hang out after school or in school time.
I remember getting the first one and it blew me away with the tracers. Never seen tracers in a game up until that point. My "go to" was Land Warrior, multiplayer on there was nuts....huge maps with very long distances. Also I can't wait to play the Black Hawk Down campaign remake. I don't know why no one has done this already. Going to re-watch the movie before this game drops. Novalogic was the first to have over 100 players on a server also and it worked better than 2042 does. Also the devs where the ones that made COD mobile and worked on DMZ, and those where very good and some even say COD mobile is one of the best CODS to come out in years. (Have not played myself though.). So I am so pumped for this! But what is up with this no release date or even a Steam page placeholder?

I hope the game will have good naval combat and good maps for Naval combat. I really enjoyed Naval strike DLC in BF4. That was my favorite DLC of BF4. Just being able to go from air vehicles,to tanks,to all the boats was really fun and gave those maps lots of replayability IMO. It also would be nice if there’s spots we can swim in water and use our guns like in BO3 & BO4.
I played the original Delta Force and Delta Force 2 by Novalogic back in 1998, it was Battlefield before Battlefield was in existence. Unfortunately when BF and COD came out by from the big's like EA, Novalogic couldn't hang and fizzled out much like the original Rainbow Six, Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear, and the additional expansion pack Urban Ops. I'm hopeful it is a catalyst for the FPS category, it needs an infusion.
The only game I could realistically see "killing" Battlefield or taking a lot of it's fanbase would be a Planetside 2 sequel, but unfortunately I doubt it will ever happen.

the part of the footage where there is a fight in a vault gave me mobile escape from tarkov vibes.other parts have ww3 (speaking of a letdown of a game) feel,especially the machines.also there is inventory menu?I want it to be good, but I don't expect it. :>
I really hope this game nails the fundamentals, because competition is good for the industry and us consumers, which would force EA to up their ante for the next battlefield game. who knows delta force could be the new rival for battlefield and CoD in the future. Anyone remember Joint Operations? Typhoon Rising? First FPS with 150 Players in a giant map.I think really what killed Novalogic titles over and over was cheaters. Battlefield Play4Free was another good title... it was on the Battlefield 2 engine. Good old Karkand.
I too am looking forward to when the "specialist" or "operator" era ends (if that ever actually happens, skins for these operators sell pretty well) and we'll go back to normal soldiers.

I’ve watched some gameplay streams, gun kick and those animations look decent (at least far better than 2042 lmao), heli rockets are cracked, and the sound effect of vehicle hitting things or getting hit are EXACT same as the bf
the one thing about this game just feels like its all about the gameplay !! the recoil feels amazing you can lean , you have vehicles that arent super over powered! abilities are minor an dont ruin the game , im actually looking forward to global launch
EA and DiCE killed Battlefield without any help from its deeply fragmented and dwindling supporter base. What killed BF for me was EA's press statement over 8 years ago when asked why they were so lenient towards cheaters and hackers - to which the EA spokesman replied "Cheaters are also customers....". EA and DICE are clearly only interested in their stock price - they ignore our repeated requests for change. For example - a remake of BF1942, with AI and modding and local hosting support etc. Talking to EA is like talking to a brick wall - it's a futile exercise. So it's time to tear down the wall - there are many better games out there with a replayability and lifespan of more than a year. Over 25 years ago we played and made missions with the original Novalogic Delta Force - it was great fun. This new Delta Force graphically looks pretty good - but the ridiculous use of bows and arrows and this constant need to pander to little kiddies CQB obsession is really very stupid - it should be clear by now - we don't want another BF! Build a game that has a following - that people want to play for years, that can scale - not some disposable knock-off. If it's broken - fix it. DICE should take note!

The last battlefield "killer" i played was Homefront over a decade ago. Some interesting game modes and concepts, but net performance really let it down. Not getting any hopes up for this game

The feeling that it feels like something you saw before is on point. Most of the animations are just ripped from COD MW and MW2 reboots. And the gameplay, how the guns feel, kick and visual recoil is copied from COD too. I've heard something that the developers are those who are working on COD mobile so they have the assets, animations and so on from Activision. But still it is kinda lame and feels like they almost haven't done anything by themselves and just copypasted.
I just want a combined arms game with a huge map. Battlefield are trying to copy COD so hard that the focus of the new battlefield games are small maps and operators. what the hell!!! BTF was that big maps and good classes fighting like in a rock paper scissors game.
Everything looks good but it does look a bit shaky and 10 fps and i hope in this game when you peek a corner you wont eat 20 grenades and 10 grenade launchers
