About Us:
We are a family of 6 currently building our dream home our 20 acre homestead in North Idaho. We garden, raise rabbits, chickens, sheep, horses, homeschool, and do just about everything that we can ourselves to achieve a self sufficient and debt free life for our family.
I sat here and literally cried through this. Cried because you represent what is good and clean and happy in this world. Because of your love and care for your family. It was so refreshing to see the joy and excitement in your children's faces. And also knowing that your children love being with their parents a lot more than what they are getting for Christmas. It's not about things but about taking time to be with family and do whatever you have to to make them truly happy. Lights, Santa, eating, coffee, just being together. The best.

I’m a 64 year old man and you had me in tears with your recap. The manic of this Holiday has been and will always be capture in the wonder of a child. I have seven of my own and I know this to be true. Every time I was working too much and didn’t have the Spirit of Christmas in me it was always restored and strengthened by our children. "I never thought Christmas could get any better when I was a kid & then I became a parent" THAT one sentence made me bawl like a baby. The TRUTH, the magic, the LOVE in that ONE sentence....the reason why I LOVE you guys, your channel & the relationships within your family. The simple things like going through a revolving door, CHRISTmas lights, coffee & Santa that you made happen for your babies was absolutely beautiful! I would be completely happy to watch your channel daily but I know there are hours that go into editing & loading a video & that gorgeous house isn't going to get built by itself. I appreciate, anticipate, am grateful & thankful for the peep you allow us into your beautiful life. You two as parents should be so proud of yourselves....you've raised some AMAZING children & this world definitely needs MORE like you guys in it. Perhaps our future isn't so bleak after all. I am a 73-year-old man living in New Jersey. I am really starting to look forward to your videos every week. You are now my favorite TV show. This video touched me so much I can't even express it. Tears started in the middle and continued till the end. A good deep feeling. It was so good to see this much of the kids. It reminds me of when my children were the age of yours. Agree! Families getting back to doing family things that don't involve a computer screen or phone! THOSE are the memories I cherish most. I'm 45 & lost my young Dad 2yrs ago to liver cancer at 64yrs old. I hold the days of coming home & picking string beans, tomatoes, cucumbers etc from the garden. Going fishing & to church together. When my brothers & I were going through his belongings I didn't want anything....just the memories I hold dear & close in my heart.
This is definitely what we as families need to be doing no matter where we live or what we are doing just stop n look around n take the time to make quality time with the ones you love for we are not promised a tomorrow.
I’m moved by the comments that I see here, they have reassured me that there are still so many good hearted and caring people.

When you have to leave during a storm, park the tractor plow just inside the gate and plow your way back in. Make a small ditch uphill side of drive so you can drop steer tire into it heading down hill if you slide, like a rail on a roller coaster. Those two things and you should always be able to get in or out to road.
I serviced in this country US Army for over twenty years, the one thing a career service member doesn't get is good quality family time with their kids. There are pictures along the way. Like snapshots in time, when the Berlin wall came down we were there. But you guys are blessed. You are blessed to have found the perfect mate. You are blessed to have a teenage child who seems to really love her enter reactions with her parents and her younger siblings. All four of them are so precious and well-manned Please continue to enjoy the blessing the Lord has given you.

When your children are grown up, can you imagine the memories that they will have of their childhood? With being able to grow up in a family environment, filled with love and the whole world of Mother Nature as your playground, how can it possibly build better memories? The reflections of each Christmas past will be recurring memories for sure.
