This is amazing - you are all so great. This brings me joy to see how much of a family unit you all are. As someone who grew up with drug addict parents I moved out at 16. I got into college mostly as a means to have somewhere to live and eat regularly.. I graduated during covid and was blessed with a wonderful job and can now have a place to sleep every night and a fridge full of food. I found my faith during all of this, and I pray every night to find a partner focused on family and faith. I hope to be blessed like you guys some day. Thank you for being such a wonderful example and giving people hope. *edit* Wow - I am so thankful for all of the kind words from everyone. Renlee, I pray and hope for your continued success. I came from a violent crazy home myself and was on the streets at 16. I too persevered and made something of myself and won't be having to worry about finding a safe place to sleep anytime soon. I destroyed a great marriage along the way, because I had no idea what a happy healthy functional relationship looked like. That was my biggest wake up call that I needed help. Getting help was the hardest thing I've ever done, but so worth it. Sounds like you are on a great path! ❤️ I pray for your continued growth and success and that you get all the wonderful things your heart desires.

My husband and I are just about ready to have our vaulted roof system put up this month. Our goal was to be able to be working inside before snow hits hard here in Wisconsin. We have been doing almost everything ourselves with occasional family member help. I also homeschool my daughters for 5yrs now. You guys moving in gave me hope for our journey as we are only halfway through building. We hope to be in by late spring, early summer. We made our walkout basement ahead of time 4yrs ago and have lived in it for 3.5yrs now . Thank you for sharing your journey.

today, i needed this. I watched as you and the family settled in, got comfortable and celebrated. Right now, we are in a topsy turvy world of chaos as our home of 30 years is torn asunder, things being thrown away and others being packed. We are under a HUGE deadline and so much of the time, i almost panic at not being able to make that deadline. Our house in idaho has not yet closed, yet we have to move forward with faith and positive thoughts as we molve forward to another chapter in a different place. Seeing the end of this chapter in your lives has helped this morning. thank you.

I sit back and watch your videos in awe, as I remember back several years ago watching one you made, Melissa, about how to set up a solar electric fence charger and fence. Who would have ever thought about the journey with its successes that laid ahead of you guys and your family back then? But, you made it happen and it wasn't easy but, not nearly as hard as you reflect back on some of those times you almost wondered if it would be worth the effort. It was and it is and it will always be the best decision you and Jeremy ever made in your lives.

I have had a gas stove and oven for years. There is a convection setting on the oven and it sounds exactly like the sound your oven was making. It's the fan in the back of the oven spinning and rotating the heat evenly throughout the oven.

I have been watching since gardening and tree pruning in WA and rabbit videos and one thing I knew for sure, when you guys were pondering making the move sooner, would it work...I told you to GO FOR IT. I had no doubt you guys would make it all happen. It has been a joy watching this all come together...we start our home, finally, this spring. I have learned so much from you for us to consider that we would not have even thought of. A thousand blessings over your family. We did our well drills about the same time but we could not make the move until this spring so have done a lot remotely. We have used the "waiting room" to learn about our new climate and other retire-steading skills. Not easy, but for sure can be done. The last trip home was filled we excitement, we can finally see the end of this season in our journey and cannot wait to begin the next phase. Thank you for your, well, just EVERYTHING. Much love....

You bought my dream stove. We moved to NH from Texas four years ago now and our stuff is still in two storage units. We’ve been looking for a house but they have gone up so high we can’t afford anything. So we are looking at barndominuims and yurts. We refuse to move in the winter. So it’s sit back and wait and lookat land. We want hill or mountain side with a view of water. At this point we’ll take land with Sasquatch.

My husband and I are just about ready to have our vaulted roof system put up this month. Our goal was to be able to be working inside before snow hits hard here in Wisconsin. We have been doing almost everything ourselves with occasional family member help. I also homeschool my daughters for 5yrs now. You guys moving in gave me hope for our journey as we are only halfway through building. We hope to be in by late spring, early summer. We made our walkout basement ahead of time 4yrs ago and have lived in it for 3.5yrs now . Thank you for sharing your journey.

today, i needed this. I watched as you and the family settled in, got comfortable and celebrated. Right now, we are in a topsy turvy world of chaos as our home of 30 years is torn asunder, things being thrown away and others being packed. We are under a HUGE deadline and so much of the time, i almost panic at not being able to make that deadline.
Our house in idaho has not yet closed, yet we have to move forward with faith and positive thoughts as we molve forward to another chapter in a different place.
Seeing the end of this chapter in your lives has helped this morning. thank you.

I sit back and watch your videos in awe, as I remember back several years ago watching one you made, Melissa, about how to set up a solar electric fence charger and fence. Who would have ever thought about the journey with its successes that laid ahead of you guys and your family back then? But, you made it happen and it wasn't easy but, not nearly as hard as you reflect back on some of those times you almost wondered if it would be worth the effort. It was and it is and it will always be the best decision you and Jeremy ever made in your lives.

I have had a gas stove and oven for years. There is a convection setting on the oven and it sounds exactly like the sound your oven was making. It's the fan in the back of the oven spinning and rotating the heat evenly throughout the oven.

Girl we knew you would not sink!!!! I have been watching since gardening and tree pruning in WA and rabbit videos and one thing I knew for sure, when you guys were pondering making the move sooner, would it work...I told you to GO FOR IT. I had no doubt you guys would make it all happen. It has been a joy watching this all come together...we start our home, finally, this spring. I have learned so much from you for us to consider that we would not have even thought of. A thousand blessings over your family. We did our well drills about the same time but we could not make the move until this spring so have done a lot remotely. We have used the "waiting room" to learn about our new climate and other retire-steading skills. Not easy, but for sure can be done. The last trip home was filled we excitement, we can finally see the end of this season in our journey and cannot wait to begin the next phase. Thank you for your, well, just EVERYTHING. Much love....

You bought my dream stove. We moved to NH from Texas four years ago now and our stuff is still in two storage units. We’ve been looking for a house but they have gone up so high we can’t afford anything. So we are looking at barndominuims and yurts. We refuse to move in the winter. So it’s sit back and wait and lookat land. We want hill or mountain side with a view of water. At this point we’ll take land with Sasquatch.

Receiving a gift bag from oncology before my first chemo was so nice, things you didn’t know you would need and notes from others who cared, then before I started radiation 2 weeks ago there was a package there as well with creams and information , notebooks and candy all in a nice tote. 4 more weeks to go then I can ring the bell 🔔!
