I know this wasn't the highlight of your trip BUT when your family said GRACE before your meal, it really touched my heart.❤ Thank you for sharing this with us. ❤❤❤❤
Truth!!
❤
Yeah I caught that too. Neat! Good ole solid American values.
One of the best bull riding videos I saw was a young guy who got bucked off a bull and was unconscious on the ground and the bull was headed towards him and his dad jumped out of the stands and threw his body over his son. They ended up being ok but man what a supreme dad moment!!!
Love of a dad!
oh wow! I wonder if that’s on YT 🤔 I as it in TX or a different state?
@@GoodSimpleLivingyes indeed! the stuff my dad did for me ❤ I remember every little instance especially when I had my own child and he showed up 😂 he made sure they didn’t take that baby back outta my room 🤦🏻♀️ lol he was so mad that I was sad even though I had just had an emergency c section
@@mfi-cf7sp It is on YT that is where I saw it
I believe Trigger was Roy Rodgers horse, Bullet his dog NOT John Wayne's! I watched the Roy Rodgers show as a kid every WK! I'm 74. Thanks for a great video! Grammy from Texas
Trigger and Bullet are actually Roy Rogers horse and dog. They were on display in Apple Valley, Ca for many years until the museum closed. It’s great to know that Trigger and Bullet found a new home. Roy would be pleased. Roy and Dale were wonderfully kind and down to earth people just like y’all!
It was GREAT to see you praying as a family over your meal ! Love your videos even more ❤
You are creating some of the most wonderful memories for your family’s tomorrows! Did you ever in a million years, when you first met that this would be where life would take you, Melissa and Jeremy? You have created such a great life for yourselves and I love that you give back as well. THANK YOU for sharing snippets of your life with us.
Texas is an awesome place-glad your family got to enjoy that experience-God Bless Texas 🐎🐎🐂🐂
Your family reminds me of what America used to be about. My heart smiles watching your videos. I pray more young people have the opportunity of experiences & the dedication parents such as yourselves bring to the home. Blessings ❤
The nuclear family is America's strength!💪🏻💪🏼💪🏾💪🏿👍🏻✌🏻
I really enjoyed you taking us along on your Texas adventure! And seeing all of you and your reactions to everything from The Silos to the Bull riders Rodeo.....LOVED IT ALL!!
I went to Texas when my son graduated from USAF boot camp. The day we left it was 105 degrees. No idea how they do the training in that kind of heat.
OMG!! What an Amazing Vacation!! Thank You So Much for Taking Us Along!! God Bless You and Your Sweet Family and have a Wonderful Weekend!! 🙋♀️❤🌻
Thank you! You too!
Great family trip. But for those of you that may not know, in the "John Wayne experience", the horse and dog were not John Wayne's, but were Roy Roger's. Roy lived in Apple Valley, CA and for years there was a Roy Rogers museum in Victorville, CA. After Roy and Dale died, and when the museum was closed, Trigger and Bullet were moved to Branson, Missouri in 2003. That museum didn't last long. In 2010 Trigger was sold at auction for $266,500 to a cable TV company RFD-TV
Watching our children enjoy themselves is probably a parents greatest gift.
Sooo true.
there is a building near there, they have the kennedy memorial, it is fascinating inside, it relives that day in 1963,
I have watched many TH-cam channels this week on this conference in Texas, yours by far is the best, bringing your family to experience this adventure. I feel it is so important for us all as US citizens to go and see what makes this country. Experience in some way the culture of different places. I see so many times Americans go on vacation to Europe but have only been to a handful of States. I have about 10 states I have not been too and I feel it helps me understand a lot about our regions and how they think about issues differently than I do. Eli's face watching the Bull Riders was priceless, I am sure all your children have wonderful memories of this trip they will keep with them forever.
Thank you so much 💓
what a sweet memorable trip
Awesome family trip! You could see pure joy in Eli’s eyes watching the bull riders. Navaia looks so pretty in her cowboy hat! 💜💜
Looks like everyone had a ton of fun. Thanks for bringing us along.
Thank you for coming along!
WOW, Kimani (I hope I spelled it correctly) looks so grown-up. What a handsome young man, that smile.... So happy for him, nothing like a positive first experience of sharing your, precious, creation. Scary, but rewarding experience. ❤❤❤
Happened upon a video of you building a chicken coop. I can’t stop watching! You guys are amazing! You are what families should be! It is so wonderful to watch all your videos of a family loving life and each other. You give me hope again! Keep up the great videos! Thank you!
Awesome! Thank you!
The horse Trigger is Roy Roger's horse. I am showing my age. I watched Roy Roger's all the time as a child 65+ years ago. Nice family trip.
thank you for letting us come along on your journey
Life goes by way too fast! Glad you are savoring these moments!!
Those bulls were crazy difficult!!! Glad you guys had a great time!!! God bless your whole family!!!
So good to see you and your family having a holiday. You just don’t know how quick the kids grow and leave the nest.
Nothing better than a family vacation. So many memories made, that will be talked about for a long time.
Terry Blacks, very heart warming, 🙏🙏. The gas station, Buc-ee's, what a place, big as some towns I have been through while truck driving. It looked like you all had a great time in Texas. It is still a big relief to be HOME, the animals looked happy to see you. Now unwind time, unpack all the goodies you bought, Melissas' signs and all though HATS.
Awesome Awesome video and this is the meaning of Ohana, making memories that'll sit deep in your heart. Epic video guys this touched my heart tremendously keep doing what you're doing. You all have a blessed day. Aloha from Kansas
Just happened across your channel today. Great build, great family, and I was happy to see you pray over lunch, and home school your children. Maybe there IS hope for this country. Families raised right!!
Thanks and welcome! God bless 💓
What a fabulous trip to make as a family💝👍
Smart move having water bottles with lids when you’re sitting that close to the chutes. That ‘stuff’ goes flying everywhere 😳😂
Great trip for the whole family. Thanks for sharing as always.
I'm so happy for you guys to have had this experience. I grew up around the rodeo and bull riding and so happy Eli got to see it in person. It sure isn't for the faint of heart.
So true, that was nuts!!
What a special family vacation ! Everyone experienced a taste of Texas to make them smile and share great memories .I really enjoyed going along and seeing the love and joy in all your eyes. Thank you ! Hugs 🥰🥰 xx
What a great, entertaining video, looks like you all had a great time. That bull riding looks dangerous, fun for those watching, riders very brave. Nevaeh, I hope you could find the type of food you require.
Love to you all from Mike. ❤
Hope my home state treated you well. Especially my little corner of it. Glad yall got to spend some fun family time all together!!
How wonderful for you all to experience some of Texas, my lovely home stare, which I miss much. Sadly, In thirty years we have returned for two birthday celebrations and three funerals. I cherish sweet memories. Thanks for taking us along on your fun vacation, was heart warming to see my land. 🤗 Love and prayers. 🥳🤗💖😆
It was great meeting you guys. Loving the channel. Cheers
Hey I was literally JUST watching another one of your videos 😂. Thanks for stopping by. Was so great meeting you. Thank you again and please keep up the good work.

Neat! I follow and enjoy both of your channels :).
I am a huge fan of yours and used your tips in DIY in many projects, thank you
Love your family! So glad you enjoyed your visit to my home town!
Love that you guys got to experience all of that! Thank you for sharing with all of us.
I am so glad to see you making these memories as a family. I am almost 70 yrs old and not in the best of health (heart issues) and I think some of my biggest regrets is not traveling more and making more memories. I watched this video and it actually brought a tear to my eyes seeing what I have missed out on. It is wonderful that these trips as a family will only make memories not regrets.
❤️
I live about 30 mins north of Houston, Texas and I'm so happy and proud that yall had a great time while in my wonderful state ❤ I hope everyone treated yall with kindness ❤
AMEN! Fellow Texan
🇺🇸MesquiteTX home of the Mesquite Rodeo!
Awesome trip for both business and pleasure. Texas looks like a lot of fun and it sure looks as if you made the most of it. Glad you switched the tickets for the bull riding for Eli - hopefully that rider who got carried out on the stretcher will be ok. I'm off to catch up on your podcasts - Zach seems like a nice young man - glad you were able to interview him. Until next week with love from NE Pennsylvania ❤
Thank you, hope you like it! That rider ride the very next day!! Crazy cowboys!
What a great trip. All something new. Amazing food . Glad you all enjoyed.
Your close out readings are always so on point. You are a wonderful mom with an awesome husband. May God continue to bless all your efforts 💕
Thank you so much!
Wow! What a great trip! Amazing! Thanks for bringing us with you to the big Texas state! So glad your kids enjoyed this family travel! You are creating great memories together 👏🏻👍🏻🌈🫂
I’m so happy you guys got to take a vacation - looks like a great fun time!! I wish I could take my Grandson on just a little vacation - maybe one day??
You guys deserve some time. Love your videos and Pods.
Thank you for bringing us along.💕
Travel is wonderful, but there is no place like home😊 glad you got to make new memories with the family🥰
I thought it was cute that you thought it was John Waynes' horse and dog, but they belonged to Roy Rogers. Lol. Enjoy your family!
I am so excited that you’re here. Welcome to Texas!! I’ve been following you for years, and I live in Garland Texas it’s a suburb of Dallas. 🎉🎉
Great vacation Jeremy & Melissa!! Love watching the expression on Elie's face it was priceless❤️🇨🇦
The best!
That mounted palomino horse, Trigger, was Roy Rogers’s horse.
We were very touched to see your family say grace before your meal. And it was so neat seeing you guys have such a great time and enjoying yourselves. What a cool video and a nice family. 👍❤️
Thank you so much!
Welcome to Texas! I’ve lived here most of my life but have been around the world and all over the US! We have a lot more than most people can imagine! Enjoy!!
LOVE seeing you guys praying before your meal. Awesome!!
So cool. i was born in Ft. Worth, now live in Beaumont and always lived in Texas. Glad you came. You're always welcome.⭐
Welcome to our great state of Texas! We're glad your family enjoyed our home and what we have to offer!
Thank you!!
Looks like you had a wonderful time! So happy for you guys🥰
Thank you so much for sharing this remarkable journey and your family's joy
Every time my sister and me travels to Florida we stop at buc-ee's she loves that place isn't it amazing to travel from North Carolina to Florida to see family and we go in there it's just it's just amazing
It's good that your not only teaching them History, but letting them witness the actually locations!
Love that you all took this trip together!!!!
My mind is blown. What a blessing, just when I thought it could not get better, Dude Perfect. Wow!!!
A huge highlight of the trip for sure!!
The horse Trigger, and the dog Bullet was Roy Rogers horse and dog! John Wayne's horse in 7 of his movies was called Dollar! Trigger was in California at the Roy Rogers museum, when him and his wife passed. The museum moved to Branson Missouri, but did not do well. They had a auction and Trigger and Bullet was bought by RFD-Tv. Trigger sold for $266,000+ and stayed there until the John Wayne museum acquired them. I went to the rodeo in Houston Texas and so Roy Rogers, Dale Evans and Trigger, and buttermilk Dale Evans horse. I live in the area where buc-ee's got it's start. We do not have any of the big buc-ee's here. But we do have about 10 buc-ee's in the area! Glad y'all had a good time here in Texas, hope to see y'all come back. Y'all just seen a little piece of Texas. Y'all stay safe
Trigger was Roy Roger’s horse and was in his museum until it closed a few years ago.
Million dollars seats. Just because the excitement Big E had seeing it live. Great job Mom and Dad
Absolutely!!
I’ve been subscribed to your channel since you started building your accommodation in your barn. I live in the UK, but currently in Zurich. We fly out to Dallas on Monday 16th. What a coincidence that you are there now. Might bump into you,
Have a fun trip! We are home now.
Trigger so thats where he went too after they closed Roy Rogers and dale evans Museum off I 5 outside of Barsow, Ca. ❤️❤️🕊️🕊️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🐎🐎🐎🐎
This was such a wonderful week to spend quality time and fantastic memories for you as a family and individual treats as well. That gas station wasn't any normal gas station it's a small town.
So next year is it dad's turn for the rodeo.
Be glad that you all decided to fly here instead of driving, because this is a big state. If you think that Dallas is humid, try Houston. I live in the Dallas area, it's okay.
What an awesome family trip ❤️ looked like all your babies at home missed you guys😍
Glad to see your holidays revolve around the next food experience too. Enjoy
Well done family members love the look on your boys face when the bulls came out 🎉
I am a resident of San Antonio, TX. To see one of my favorite YT families come to TX and have such a grand time brought joy to my heart. You truly are creating memories for yourself and your children that will be passed on to your grandchildren and their children. What a gift. TY for being the best parents possible as well as the best partners in life. Love for your God, Your relationship, and Your family is what this short journey on earth is all about. You are doing it right. TY for allowing us to journey with you. Best wishes from TX.
So lovely to see you as a family getting away after all the hard work on the Farm well deserve needed holiday ENJOY❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Awe!! Welcome to Texas!! Oct 18th is Silobration! Enjoy!
This has been one of the best TH-cam videos I’ve watched in years. Thank you for sharing some of your time with your family.
Wow, thank you!
Great trip glad you all had a chance to do something new . It was awesome to see a young man get so excited watching P.B.R. God bless you and your family .
I lived 10 minutes from the Buc-ee’s you visited . In Colorado now. Glad to see your family enjoyed what Texas has to offer!
Heard they are building on near Johnstown.
What a wonderful experience for all of you, loved the kids clapping when home appeared!! You can tell where there heart is. Texas is a wonderful place to visit, Being from New Mexico , that culture of the cowboys is great and also here. Glad you all enjoyed your trip, you are right, time is moving very fast and sometimes it is great to just enjoy the moment with your family. God Bless, looking forward to next week.
God bless 💓
What an amazing trip. You all saw some really awesome things. Thank you for sharing your trip with us. Eli's face during the rodeo was so priceless. ❤❤❤
This video shows a small part of why we chose to make Texas our forever (retirement) home. We will be about 2.5 hrs from DFW in a very small town, but close enough to go when we want some excitement - and 45 mins to a Bucee's 🤣. Since Eli liked PBR so much I am sure he would love NFR in Vegas, it is the best of the best competing to see who the champion of the year is. We go every year and absolutely love it!
Hands down the best video on TH-cam. Melissa your so right. Time passes very quickly and you need to enjoy those moments when you can. I can’t believe how awesome your editing skills are. You captured every beautiful moment. Thank you for sharing them with us.
Wow, thank you!
I totally agree! Packed with food, family and fun. GSL is the best family content on You Tube!
Protect your new barn with decorative design custom wood fencing. I’m sure someone in your area is a wood worker or designer, who could design and create a custom wood fence to place directly in front of your new barn with Good Simple Living or even profiles of the horses or even the kids to protect the building from any damage and enhance the appearance.
Once again---making special memories for the family! I can't get enough of your family--so wholesome and truly loving
Trigger was Roy Rogers’ horse, not John Wayne’s…I can’t remember its name. Dale Evan’s horse was Buttermilk. I so envy your awesome trip! I’m really enjoying this video!! The children seem to be enjoying it, too! Have a safe trip home!!
Looked like you all had a fantastic time 😊.
Ya’ll always have the coolest time together. Thanks for letting us be a part of your life. I know you had someone taking care of your animals while you were away. May God continue to bless you all.
Traveling with kids is what makes long term memories stick. Wishing you more travels ahead.
Oh man, y'all were so close to our little homestead!! Well, not really. haha. Texas is huge so you were still 3hrs away. haha! Enjoying your channel and can't believe I've never seen it. You all ROCK!
Glad you had a good time in NORTHERN TEXAS where it was cooler and has all the people there too. Isn't it wild that a Truck Stop can draw so much attention and have so many vendors under one roof. We enjoyed your video so much and don't have to drive 5 hours to see Bucees. Glad you enjoyed your get away and the children had such a good time too. Stay safe and keep up the great videos and sharing the family fun with us too. Fred.
This was wonderful. Thank you for bringing us along. We love you and wouldn’t trade this for nothing. ❤️💙🇺🇸🙏🏼
Wow, thank you
Trigger and Bullet were Roy Roger's horse and dog.. Glad y'all had such a wonderful trip
I love that saying you ended the video with. Each moment there is joy within it, all ya gotta do is look for it. :)
Terry Black's on my bucket list! :)
The huge smiles on all your kids faces spoke for itself! Enjoyed !
Great getaway....but the best is coming home ❤
Oh my, what an amazing experience for you all! Thank you for taking us along.
Loved watching the family make some wonderful memories! The smiles on the kids faces said it all.
You all deserved this vacation. Eli, great job. You picking the rodeo was absolutely brilliant. Watching a rodeo on TV is like watching drag racing on TV. Nothing compares to having the sights, sounds, and smells in your face!
This looked like such a fun trip and lots of happy memories! Thanks for sharing the video
Thanks for watching!
Awesome!! Very special!🤩
Just a friendly correction on the horse and dog. Trigger and Bullet were the animals of Roy Rogers. Still a great video but missed having you here in Tyler, the Rose Capital of the World. Maybe next time. And I would go to Dallas more often if the traffic was like I saw in the video. You are right about spending the time and traveling with your family. As we missed that opportunity with our family always pitching pennies and not seeing any way to do it.
Greetings from Northern Michigan! It's so great to have watched all of you having so much fun as a family. Texas is still on my bucket list. As always looking forward to seeing next week.
