New Saw! Dewalt DWS 779 Miter Saw Unboxing, Setup & Test Cuts

Happy Holidays everyone! This video is to show you all a big shop upgrade that I'm investing in this year. Last year it was the xTool M1 laser, this year it's the Dewalt DWS 779 Sliding Compound Miter Saw. A good miter saw can be the heart of a small shop and I've been putting off this purchase for way too long. We got a Black Friday deal that included a free heavy duty mobile stand for it, which is much appreciated. This thing is a beast and frankly a hilariously big upgrade from what I was using before. It's a great saw. I got one a year or so ago. Heads up, at least when I bought mine the only real difference between the 779 and 780 was the 780's shadow line. You can buy a kit to convert it for under a $100... I think I paid around $80. It's easy and simple to install (replaces the handle) and so worth it.
