Tips for Buying Authentic Pre-loved Luxury Handbags on eBay

- Hi Everyone, Thanks for watching. This is the process I use when purchasing luxury, pre-loved bags on eBay. I hope this helps if you are thinking of buying on eBay. There are some fabulous deals out there - you just have to really do your homework. Have fun shopping!

I've been using www.authenticatefirst.com to get eBay auctions authenticated before purchasing recently, and it does help take the stress off buying pre-loved. Thank you for your Video. I am new to eBay as of 2017. I just came across a 14 beautiful purses at a garage sale. Most new with tags. On a follow my gut feeling I bought them all and listed them on eBay. But with your information I went back in and revised my listing with more info and history. I hope to make my buys confident in their selection.
Thank you for your comment. I would highly suggest getting the bags authenticated before listing them on eBay! Not only will it protect you, but it will also protect the buyers. It would suck to buy a bag thinking it's real, only to find out it's fake. Better to be safe, than sorry!

It seems you are an “influencer” as well - at least for me. I feel in love with the Luca tote after seeing this video and had to have it. Looked around and was able to purchase a in very good condition bag for $600. Now I also have a steal of the year - in my case, steal of the decade! You can’t buy anything in the LV store for that price. Many thanks!

I just made my purchase on EBay but I feel like I’m being ripped off because I paid full price plus 1/4 more on top of the original price on a preloved and discontinued color and pattern and style item which I’ve been wanting for at least 3 years now. But I really wanted the item for my birthday and I bit the bullet. However, I wasn’t a bargain shopper on this item. So my question is “How should I go about the price for a negotiation if I find something I like next time?” I know it’s too late now but I just thought I’d ask you this now. Thank you 😊

This might be a bit personal (and its totally fine if you don't want to answer!) but I'm wondering if you're wearing any shape-wear under your dress. You look amazing! I have a similar DVF dress but am hesitant to wear it because it shows every roll haha...
Hi Sue - I just saw your comment. I don't mind answering at all! I don't remember exactly, but there's a very good chance I was wearing some kind of shape-wear with this dress, as it is very clingy. I don't wear them every day, because they can be uncomfortable, but with clingy dresses, they can be a lifesaver! :) Hope you have a beautiful Easter!
Can you name the sellers you use? I'm pretty familiar with the good Louis Vuitton sellers, but I would like to look into Balenciaga and am not as sure about what to look for for authenticity.

How do you identify the right tag if you’ve never pay full price for all your high end bags?
I'm not sure I understand what you mean. I have paid full price for a few of my bags, but I prefer to save money when I can by buying pre-loved. It is easy to find photos of authentic bags online to compare with. I always suggest getting any used bags authenticated from a reputable source prior to purchase.

Hi Katerina, I listed the seller's I used in the description bar above, but there are a lot of great sellers! I would suggest using a good authenticator, who can authenticate for you before you purchase. I like www.authenticatefirst.com, but there are other good ones as well. Hope this helps!
What are the names of the ebay sellers you have bought from?

I just have the courage to spend less than 70 dollars for some second hand coach bags and stuff. I know pretty well how to detect if a MK purse is authentic. and what i noticed is that, some sellers have several different IDs, and they use those IDs sell the same products. they may have lots of fake MK purses by mass production. but some beginner sellers don't know that and still place bid on that and win a fake MK purse! and they still leave positive feedback to the seller! so that the seller still have 100% positive feedback but actually their product is fake. I am a beginner for coach, but i am expert for MK. for KS, its really difficult to detect if its a fake or real from the pics. therefore, I would just spend very little money for fun on eBay but not trust the 100% feedback thing. Im telling you this to let you be more cautious that a 100% seller may still sell fake items which are made really well. only people that always purchase from retail store can notice the minor difference between their fake bags and the real ones. they sucks! but your video was just so good! love your outfit. i also want to purchase some luxury goods from eBay but just so worried the sellers are selling fake. you have no way do detect it if you are not an expert.

+Rachel King Hi Rachel - that is a good point. 100% positive seller feedback is just one of things I look for when buying on eBay - it definitely isn't the only thing. My suggestion to you is to ask the ladies on the purse forum to help authenticate the bag before bidding. If you still aren't sure, there are some great re-sale websites that authenticate every item.
