I think a lot of people don't feel comfortable buying a preloved bag but if you think about it, if you buy a new one and wearing it just a few times, it is now used.

Second hand bag lover over here too. My Chanel square mini is also my fave bag. It's also pre owned and vintage and is the same as Alexa's. It still gets compliments from sa's I've noticed. They know that Chanel doesn't make them like it anymore : )
I feel the same way...I get a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach when I pay retail price. And I also don't like to baby new purses so second hand is a great way to go
I know right!! Especially with really expensive pieces! It's like, did I really just pay THAT much? Of course there are some pieces that are basically the same price as some preloved items, so I feel like it's somewhat justified! XD With new items I have a limit on how much I'll spend, if it's more than that I'll try find it second hand! xo

Btw, I know exactly what you meant by feeling sick to the stomach when buying new. I still feel that every time I buy new. Unfortunately like you said, sometimes the preloved items are more exp than retail when you want it in decent condition and the risk of paying so much extra duties and custom fees in Canada (we have one of the strictest policies) just doesnt even justify buying certain items preloved. I'm a huge fan of buying pre-loved bags too and agree with all the points you've raised, especially the thrill of the hunt. I recently bought a Christian Louboutin Vero Dodat in nude for 40% less than a brand new one from Vestiaire Collective. When I received it, it looked 99% brand new! I can't tell you how elated I was. Same for the Chanel East West flap bag Valentine edition which was discontinued. It's such a cute little bag and I'm so in love with it! i love buying second hand ...the whole process of finding what you are after to finally getting it is so much more exciting and makes you appreciate the item so much more! the whole process is priceless which shows that you cannot really put a price tag into everything not even to luxury that you can actually afford! You are an inspiration and would be great to make more videos on teaching others how to buy second hand!

There are a lot of really wonderful websites that host pre-loved items and have professional authenticators on their staff. I know the Vestiaire Collective requires the authentication experts they hire to train specifically with the brands they are working with!
