- Hydration SHOULD BE priority #1, when it comes to Hashimoto’s and your overall health. And, electrolytes play a top role in helping us get and stay hydrated.
.
Did you know the effects of low electrolytes and dehydration tend to mimic other hypothyroid symptoms? Things like headaches, feeling dizzy, fatigue, skin and hair issues, GI problems (constipation!) and more correlate with my autoimmunity and thyroid dysfunction.
.
Today's video is to share with you
1. the importance of electrolyte-rich foods (I'll discuss sea salt and bone broth, plus loads of veggies and plant-based foods).
2. why you may need supplements for after exercise (how to make your own electrolyte beverage!).
3. what you need to know about customizing a supplement protocol based on your own individual needs to help support your thyroid, adrenals and over all health.
.
Cheers to getting and staying hydrated - and improving life with Hashimoto's!

Can you substitute miso broth for bone broth?
I just described you! Wonderful information…. Thank you! ❤
Wanted to see if anyone experienced chest discomfort when having an electrolyte imbalance. I have Hashimotos and I think I’m struggling with electrolytes. I incorporated more carbs and electrolyte supplements but still having the discomfort. Waiting on bloodwork results but wanted to reach out to see if anyone else ran into this. A couple months ago, I was mainly eating a carnivore diet and had to adjust that bc I started having low blood sugar.
Thank you for sharing ❤❤🙏🏼
Sara, I love love listening to you!! How can I schedule a consultation with you? -Katrina B.

Thank you Dr. Sara. I did not know this about the electrolytes. I have Hashimoto's. I do drink lots of water. But am on a water pill combo for edema. It's Losartan/Hydrochlorothiazide. I am also on NP thyroid. And at night I take another pill for my HBP as well...Atenolol. I take other supplements too that help me. I feel good. Perhaps making sure I am up with the electrolytes will help me not need the combo pill. I will check in with my FNP very soon.
Great video!
