So glad you've chosen Elliot to be on a podcast. Personally I tried his supplement and saw no significant benefit and would recommend using your own empty capsules as it's quite a strong taste. But I've benefitted a lot from his videos, I've had success with using the cheap thiamine and benfotamine with glycine for CFS post external malaise ( air hunger) and side effects from a lot of antibiotic use including intravenous antibiotics. After years of having cold hands and feet benfotamine seems to keep that problem away.

Good episode. Thanks for this. Elliott strikes me as a smart guy who goes to great lengths to very thoroughly research health topics he's passionate about. I appreciate how he's coming at gut health from unique angles like the gut-brain axis which I very rarely hear "gut gurus" talk about, especially in the direction of the brain sending signals to the gut

Also, One thing I wanted to stress that was not touched on in this interview was the demand for potassium really goes up on higher dose thiamine. I realized i was not getting enough potassium in my diet, and this lack def. contributed to my 'side effects' early on. He discusses this in some of his other videos. I'd suggest watching as many of his videos as possible before starting this therapy, so you have the best chance of success.

Bingo! This is a beri,i beri interesting talk, and I am up only 24 minutes in.....need to act as if thiamine deficient from the get go. Wonder why we can't come up with relevant biomarkers and tests?
Elliott is there a way to get in contact with you. I have been working with Dr Schmidt out of the nutritional healing center of Ann Arbor for a few year. I have IBS and horrible acid reflux. I have been taking like 400 milligrams of B1 and no change I feel like no matter what I do I can't get better.
The worst thing that can happen after taking thiamine is not "nothing." It's anaphylaxis, which I have experienced all three times that I have tried it. 😕
I have noticed that when I don't take a B complex and magnesium, I have insomnia and a disturbing irregular heartbeat. I wonder if it's the B1 helping to regulate those issues. This is interesting. Maybe I'll add the other forms to help with gut motility.
Hormone health very important with irregular beats for women. Dr. Wentz discusses Benfotiamine as a very important adjunct for many with Hashimoto’s as well. Thanks for addressing.

I've been experiencing constipation and gastric issues for 2 years, but after taking 50mg of benfotiamine for 2 months at night, I've seen some improvement. Hi Sir . I m from South Africa. I've suffered with constipation. I take 300mg of Benfotiamine for the past 6months and it has helped to alleviate my constipation. I've not experienced any side effects on that dose.
I have health issues mainly digestive and herpes I took yona and could feel ally nerve endings just from a little I had to stop taking it I have been off work with this and panic attacks for 3 months

NOT a Doctor and Not giving Medical/Nutritional advice But My research on this topic seems to indicate a great difference of outlook on this issue, especially the "toxicity" levels....Many Researchers recommend >100 as optimal for Best Health. How much would you suggest to start with?
Elliot is talking single B1 higher dose, but in conjunction with a B complex and other needed cofactors such as magnesium, potassium and keeping electrolytes balanced.
If the normal dose of Vitamin B1 is 1.2 milligrams for adult men and 1.1 milligrams for adult women (according to NIH), then why do we need these massive doses of Vitamin B1?
The Minimum (RDA) dose for Most Vitamins have been Proven to be Wholly Inadequate for Optimal Health!.....Search Drs Berg,Gundry and Ekberg's videos on TH-cam.... In any case the normal B vitamins are Water-soluble and any excess is readily peed out 🙏👍😎
Under eating fat ??? We need 1 gram fat per kilo body weight per day. The most common problem is overeating fat. So much oils today and oils are 100% fat. Dairy, red meat, French fries and so on. Just eat potatoes and vegetables nuts and seeds and bodies repair them selves or at least my body did.
