This is a clever twist on the ending to KOTM! I like to see it as the various, past incarnations of Godzilla (at least, the models available in SFM, I presume) judging the Monsterverse Goji. Determining whether he is worthy to carry the mantle of King, yet caring little for his appearance - more of his heart and soul. And so, they bow. Not to show submission, but to signify respect to a new Godzilla that continues to carry the torch that the ShodaiGoji had crafted all those years ago. You nailed it on the head, dearest animator; there are many things to enjoy about Godzilla, but it is the purpose of his existence that has made him stand tall amongst all the rest. Long live the King!
I think it's something different. The beginning showed the monsterverse Godzilla bowing to the original. The return bows (to me anyway) were the previous godzillas acknowledging him as both worthy of the name and allowing him to join their ranks in the council of kings. And I say he definitely deserves to.

What you say starting at 1:38 through the rest of the video is also such an amazing tribute to Godzilla. It sums up how I feel about Godzilla and how I am sure so many of us feel about G. He's always been there for me. There have been so many times where I've gotten home after having a bad day and I start to channel surf and boom - a Godzilla movie would be on. It almost never fails. There's a lot of lessons we can learn from Godzilla too. He never gives up. He always fights back. He may not always be right, but he also stands by his convictions. Honestly, having all the different Godzilla's bow before Legendary Goji makes more sense than in KOTM, since the idea of an alpha only occurs among a group of the same species of animal, as opposed to multiple species of Titans like in KOTM.
The only thing that could have possibly made this better is if all the Godzillas roared at once over the end. But other than that, this is absolute perfection. I feel so lucky to have become a Godzilla fan. For years, I could only ride on the coattails of what had gone before, and the few clips and reviews I could find around TH-cam. Then we got 2014 and KOTM, and I feel like I finally got to see the Godzilla I've always wanted. A combination of his Showa-era heroism merged with the power and ferocity of the Heisei-era. It's just too bad America's first attempt at Godzilla was a flop with the 1998 film. but the biggest reason it failed was because it was being directed by someone who hated Godzilla to begin with and wanted to do something else entirely. atleast we now have Monsterverse Godzilla that is respectful to old fans and introduces new ones
I used to think that way, but I no longer do. If anything, it was because of the disaster that was the 98 Godzilla movie that we have the Legendary version of Godzilla today. The wrong had to be righted. And it has. And then some. In a lot of ways, we actually have the 98 Godzilla movie to thank for what we have today.

I've always hoped Toho would make just a short clip like this. Toho's many Godzillas don't have to bow down to Legendary's Godzilla of course but I would love to see a video like this. Nothing canon or anything like that, just a special video celebrating Godzilla's 65th anniversary. They could bow down to '54 Godzilla.

Honestly, having all the different Godzilla's bow before Legendary Goji makes more sense than in KOTM, since the idea of an alpha only occurs among a group of the same species of animal, as opposed to multiple species of Titans like in KOTM.

The only thing that could have possibly made this better is if all the Godzillas roared at once over the end. But other than that, this is absolute perfection.
I feel so lucky to have become a Godzilla fan. For years, I could only ride on the coattails of what had gone before, and the few clips and reviews I could find around TH-cam. Then we got 2014 and KOTM, and I feel like I finally got to see the Godzilla I've always wanted. A combination of his Showa-era heroism merged with the power and ferocity of the Heisei-era.
Happy 65th Anniversary, Gojira. Here's to another 65 years.

It's just too bad America's first attempt at Godzilla was a flop with the 1998 film. but the biggest reason it failed was because it was being directed by someone who hated Godzilla to begin with and wanted to do something else entirely. atleast we now have Monsterverse Godzilla that is respectful to old fans and introduces new ones
I used to think that way, but I no longer do. If anything, it was because of the disaster that was the 98 Godzilla movie that we have the Legendary version of Godzilla today. The wrong had to be righted. And it has. And then some. In a lot of ways, we actually have the 98 Godzilla movie to thank for what we have today.
