A couple of ideas in case they might be of any assistance. The height could be the type of marigold or the conditions. For example there's a type of African marigold which is about 50cm tall and one which is 20cm. I think all French marigolds are short. However, sometimes plants become "leggy". A frequent cause of this is that the plant needs more sunlight than it is currently getting. It can be caused by other things, including fertilisers, or pruning necessities, but inadequate light is a good first thing to have a look at. I can't remember if it's true of marigolds, but with some plants you "pinch out" the growing tips and this is done to encourage bushier growth. In terms of the wilting, again while this could potentially be caused by many factors, including too much or not enough watering, a decent first step is to mulch the area around the roots, especially if the marigold is in a pot. Avoid getting the mulch too close to the stem to avoid rot. The mulch will help retain moisture and keep the roots cool in the hottest part of the day. Depending on the cause, this might be enough to help with the leavea. Oh, and although i'm not sure i can comment on the Inca variety, if your marigolds are simply taller than you prefer by their nature, you could seek out a compact variety. The French marigolds (Tagetes petula) are smaller and have a different shape of flower to African marigolds (Tagetes erecta). French marigolds will likely all be quite compact and bushy in habit. One variety of compact African marigold is 'Cupid'. It could be worth your while trying either variety to see the results - they are pretty cheap and easy to grow from seed. Good luck!
sir i seeded merigold in sept month, today till Jan end it's grown over 2 feet. but no flowering till now. i have done the piching also. will it survive till next winters or it will dye in summers ?

Right now in January there are flowers all over on my night blooming jasmin plant. Can you explain why it is flowering when it should not ? Do sometimes plants gets confused which season it is right now ?

May be soil condition , proper nutrients , blooming plant regulator and climatic conditions have favoured for the same
