    Wonderful. Without your tutorials, we would have failed in our propagation of thick bougainvillea cuttings! I have been successful with 1and half inch diameter cuttings also. I use Rooting Harmon No.3. and cover it with plastic as the weather is dry here. Next time, eyeing for propagating a hunted branch with almost more than 2 inch diameter.

      Glad you liked it and thank you very much for your words. But, I doubt that you would fail propagating Bougainvillea plants as you have done 7 times successfully! You are already an expert :-) Wish you all the best for propagating more plants!

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You definitely would be able to do that..Trust me, it's not that hard! And, it doesn't like that all of my cuttings root every time. Sometime, only few make it. The main aim is to keep on trying and trying :-) Wish you all the best and please don't forget to inform me once you do it successfully!

I believe, you love Bougainvillea plants a lot (I do recognize you very well as you have added your view in all of my Bougainvillea videos). I hope, your plants are growing quite well and if I remember correctly, last time you said that they were around 7-8 feet tall (absolutely awesome). Happy Gardening and TC :-)

    Thank you for the tips! Your dog is cute! I am trying your method this weekend. Then I'm off to find a neighbor with an orange hibiscus. Hopefully they will let me take a cutting. I live in Florida and people like it when you do this. Less trimming they have to do. So many plants grow quickly and take over a space in no time.

Apparently the sand has no nutrition then how the new shoots would survive in the absence of any fertilizer ? How long we will continue the sprouted cutting in sand only or do we need to give some liquid fertilizer? Please advise I am a new gardner.Thanks for posting very useful vedeo on gardening techniques .

    Great video - thanks! I just bought a braided Bougainvillea tree and looking for another. Do you have any videos/advice how to keep it growing upward? I removed a giant bougainvillea from my property when I first bought it - it was 7' tall and wide and dangerous for my pets. I love the clean tree and if I can keep it going, it will be a great alternative for my landscaping. Have you braided any from cuttings? I also have a snow queen hibiscus that I just shaped, unfortunately I did not keep any of the larger branches I cut - so I'll watch your other video and get a few of those started!

    No comprendo inglés y no entiendo cuándo colocó el aloe vera.
    Desearía su respuesta.

      Hola, dijo que se puede usar aloe vera en vez de hormonas de enraizamiento. Pero conseja que se usen las hormonas si es posible.

    Gardening upbeat,
    I had grown cutting according to the method suggested by you sir. Very small leaves came out of the cuttings in 9 days..... I was very excited and satisfied to see those leaves... But now it has been more than two weeks, neither those leaves have grown in size, nor any new leaves have sprouted. Those small leaves have started drying and have turned black... Would you be so kind to suggest me a way out.... Thannking you withWarm regards

    Is there any necessity to fertilize them? before the complete rooting is done.
