15:11 man, that tip after about 150h of drifting in assetto corsa finally allowed me to tandem on the next level, something just clicked and now I can do a whole lines not only a single corner. There’s a lot going on when you’re actually trying this stuff, it’s always a good idea to learn from people farther along the path when there’s someone available. Clutching in is a powerful tool, I use it to keep revs up during a time I’d already be off throttle (for example, sometimes in transitions)
Looks like, at the start at least, you're running the 180SX WDTS on Bihoku. Looks smooth af, what setup are you running? What changes to the default have you made?

Hey man! I love your videos! I don’t know if you have ever used RFactor 2 but I’m having a really rough time getting the drifting feeling realistic. The problem is that upon entering a slide, the wheel doesn’t want to spin nicely in my hands, instead it only countersteers about half a turn, and to stop the car snapping back out I’m having to UN counter steer the car back in the direction of the corner, often going back PAST the centre point to maintain my drift. This surely can’t be right... any ideas on what I might have to tweak? I use a SimuCube OSW
Max Jerry if you can make a replay vid and drop it in the share-Content channel in our Discord I’ll take a look at it; it’s hard to explain things through text so I’m not sure what to suggest😅
Max Jerry if I had to take a guess, it sounds like you’re initiating a slide but having to steer back toward or past the center point makes me wonder if there’s an issue with the “Catch” phase of the drift. Remember, that throttle and steering are linked for balancing a car in drift, so maybe you are waiting too long after the “Catch” phase to get on throttle and maintain the drift. If you wait too long and the car grips up you’d definitely have the wheel come back past the center point to try re-initiating 🤔But I could also be way off from not seeing what’s happening 🤷🏻♂️
Kame Trick Kame Trick Thank you so much for your feedback! I’ll get that video recorded when I next get a chance to get on the sim. How can I access the discord? (I’ve never actually used it before). That very much could be the case - there’s definitely some human error involved but I think that’s adding to the issue, rather than causing it. It’s worth noting that I use VR, and get around 40FPS (another issue I’m scouring forums for help with), so this might be causing some steering lag?
You had no clip for a backwards one but I think you showed a backwards one before that in the video Edit: I really love watching this xD very nice tips as well

Can you please tell me what could be the most realistic feeling drift car in assetto? Because everytime car i try to do reverse entries with, just glide over the road surface no matter how slow im going.
I didn’t, but my car makes a lot of torque so I don’t have to. I can stomp onto the throttle and spin the tires in 2nd pretty easily. Power oversteer or power slides only work for more powerful cars, but of course less powerful cars just use a clutch kick 👍🏻
Evan Balbier paddle shifters could be a little difficult but it’s not impossible. I’d recommend spending most of your time on tracks where you can simply stay in 2nd gear like Drift Playground or Suzuka Twin (outside of the entry)
Ive been trying to practice my drift for hours on end with my T300 RS GT yet I cant even get close to you. Ive watched so many videos on how to drift but nothing told me anything I didnt already know. Its so frustrating, seriously. Its either I fail to initiate the drift, maintain the drift, spin out, or straighten up after a drift. Everyone makes it look easy and it looks like every one barely even turns their wheel, like it turns for them and they just catch it. Every time I try to do that my car just doesnt even drift, wheel doesnt even turn, or I spin out. I practiced with the GT86 the most but changed to the AE86 but still not much has changed. Its so weird I dont know whats wrong with my technique, I do everything as instructed.

Question, when i play AC, using mi g27, i discovered that the gas pedal it's way more sensitive than the game can handle, how can i fix it, because when i press the gas pedal a little bit, the car goes almost full throltle. I managed to make a correction, with the deadzone option, Not being the correct fix. And i almost forgot, logitech turn radius, it's 900 degrees right?
Luis Sidoti probably the first thing to check is that your drivers / Logitech software is up to date, and second check the axis settings in game to ensure it reads full throttle as 100% before you start a session. I used to have a Logitech driving force and until I cycled the pedals through their full range of motion each session in LFS they’d read too sensitive. Once I floored it a couple times they’d work normally 🤷🏻♂️ Otherwise seek support in our discord, I don’t own a G27 so I can’t give much advice😅

Somehow I'm able to play ac in vr with no motion sickness but I can't watch this video without getting motion sickness due to the distortion since you have a triple monitor setup
You need clutch for several drift entry techniques including clutch kick, handbrake entry on some games, and shift lock. You can do power over, braking and weight shift/feint entries without a clutch. On Forza or GT they give you a handbrake button that will auto-clutch for you, but on AC you basically handbrake without clutching (if you don’t have a clutch pedal axis set), which bogs the engine sometimes, especially on less powerful cars
@@KameTrick This is why now that I'm sim racing instead of putting my car in danger i'll be sim drifting as well. IRL the nicest and most welcoming group of "enthusiasts" I ever had the pleasure to be around were all drift people. Looking forward to drifting without the drift tax! lol. Having a hell of a time trying to find a round wheel though for my fanatec. I may have to go the route you did and buy a hub and rl wheel. Fanatec is having problems with their logistics company right now.
You can, yes. The coordination and skills you learn here will apply to real life. One important note is that in addition to good software (this game) you also need good hardware. A $300 wheel and pedal kit will not give you the quality of learning that a $1000+ kit will.

I stream every Friday at 9pm CT and usually run tandems on my server during it...the livestream VODs are in my video archives...so yes! Details are in the discord: discord.gg/ewCbs8T

Haeuk Chung welcome to the channel! There’s lots of good stuff in the playlists and video library to scope out before the next video drops✌🏻
@@KameTrick How kind to guiding through! I'm so impressed to see your drifting both in sim and real!
You did that 360 wayyyy too easily hahaha. I was like wait...what??
kidfoxx hahaha it just worked out, I botch them sometimes too like anyone else😅 Looking forward to trying one IRL sometime too. Thanks for checking out my channel!
Haha I’m instantly hooked on your channel. Can you do an episode talking about your time in Japan? I’ve DJed over there 3 times, I have a lot of friends in Tokyo. I’m still learning Japanese, would love to hear about your adventures over there and tackling the language. Killer stuff, keep it up!
kidfoxx DJ’ing in Tokyo, that’s awesome! I bet the scene there is rad, I’ve partied there a couple times over a couple different years, but I lived out in the countryside.
Here’s a video podcast that gives a good start to some of my backstory including some Japan antics ✌🏻th-cam.com/video/sBwPMNBLxjs/w-d-xo.html

You just got a new subsriber
Bongani Mkhatshwa thanks for checking out the vid, there’s heaps to enjoy in the video library!
what do you put your stability control on? 0?
No assists here, stability control, ABS, etc...it’s all off / set to 0 😅 Stability control = throttle control
Somehow I'm able to play ac in vr with no motion sickness but I can't watch this video without getting motion sickness due to the distortion since you have a triple monitor setup
Yep, RHM is not needed on a decent triple monitor setup!
What car mod were you using in this vid?
Radon this was WDTS S13 coupe at Bihoku! 👋🏻
do i need to have a clutch pedal ?
Where can I find your ac settings?
Here are my wheel settings for my Fanatec CSW: FFB 35-50 depending on the car; DRI 0; SPR 120; All other settings are at defaults ✌🏻
What mods do you use in these vids?
WDTS 180SX & Bihoku Highlands map 👋🏻
can we call that 360 wall ride nose clip "the kiss of death" ??
Hahaha that was legit...I thought I was going to have to record that again 🤣
5:00 a wall to ride ... small tap big reaction ! ASSETTO PLEASE FIX THAT :*(
Ameer Qupty haha yeeeah I got launched 😂 One of my only complaints with AC. LFS is another sim that has a superior collision model to check out 👍🏻
@@KameTrick yea i played LFS for long time and the have a better hit effect... more realistic hit effect ...
Ameer Qupty absolutely, that’s one of the things LFS does a much better job at 👍🏻
do u need clutch to drift?
You need clutch for several drift entry techniques including clutch kick, handbrake entry on some games, and shift lock. You can do power over, braking and weight shift/feint entries without a clutch.
On Forza or GT they give you a handbrake button that will auto-clutch for you, but on AC you basically handbrake without clutching (if you don’t have a clutch pedal axis set), which bogs the engine sometimes, especially on less powerful cars
What is the name of the song at 0:00?
Thats the initial d music
5:38 music from?
That’s an Initial: D stinger 👌🏻
hello can you tell me the mod name to this track?
This track is Bihoku Highlands 👋🏻
Which car pack and track in this video?
Ryan GaneshaCalibra WDTS and Bihoku Highlands!🙌🏻
Could you please tell me what map that is and server?
It's called Bihoku highland circuit and if I'm not mistaken the video was filmed on Kame's server which he hosts every friday.
@@Callsign_Jaeger Ah ok thanks.
Imagine that. Something from fanatec breaking 🤣😂😝😂
The whole rest of my kit has been bulletproof, but yeah that ebrake 😱
15:20 is that Adam's?
cerebrix I’ve been at a few events with Adam but this is Aaron Losey of Drift Week, Lone Star Drift and 8 hour long Ebisu video game lol
Fanatec is having problems with their logistics company right now.
what map and car mod is that?
OsaPlayGames WDTS S13 at Bihoku Highlands🙌🏻
Can i be a good at drifting by playing this game and is it has ralistic physics?
You can, yes. The coordination and skills you learn here will apply to real life. One important note is that in addition to good software (this game) you also need good hardware. A $300 wheel and pedal kit will not give you the quality of learning that a $1000+ kit will.
@@KameTrickThanks for replying. I was confuse about this. Now I'm feeling relaxed. 😇😇😇
@@asmrwiz-m4e sure, have fun driving!
what map is this bro?
This is Bihoku Highlands, a real track in Japan
where can i download the map?
You can find it with a quick Google search for “Assetto Corsa Bihoku Highlands” 👍🏻
@@KameTrick ty
Does anyone know which 240sx this is?
Tripp Waldrop WDTS S13! 🙌🏻
What track is this? Can anyone help?
It’s Bihoku Highlands 👋🏻
@@KameTrick Thanks for the help and all the great content. You’ve been a life saver in my recent endeavors of sim drifting 🙏🏽
what track is this?
Crysler ah yeah this is Bihoku Highlands, an IRL track in the Kansai area of Japan. This is one of my favorite tandem tracks 👌🏻
Kame Trick thanks so much! I’ll check it out!
Crysler happy to help, see you on track ✌🏻
Kame Trick fo sure!
Kame Trick one last thing. What server do you play on?
2:08 that's called a J turn
Yep
This is jimmy broadbent drift edition
Quran Eater I’d like to try a drift & grip session with Jimmer...I can be slow and crash on fast tracks and he can crash while sideways...it’ll be perfect 🤣
Kame Trick the only problem I have with the drift cars on the server is that they don’t have nearly enough grip 😭 I like running super high grip setups and so I keep spinning out because of it
Quran Eater yeah, there are a few competition-level grip mods but only a handful feel what I imagine to be right (I haven’t had the opportunity to drive a pro car yet and don’t plan to build one 😆)
Kame Trick makes sense I’ve just gotten used to the tando buddies cars 😂😂
Quran Eater oof that’s never a good thing, at least if you’re into realism (or using a gear drive wheel, I make exceptions for hardware too)
