  • New commentary tutorial! After a lot of feedback, I'm trying a new thing. I take some of my most popular scene as a base, and create a short version with a commentary, so you can have easier time recreating the original larger scene with similar techniques. Please, let me know, how you like this one :)

    • @yegorare
      @yegorare 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      After 30 minutes of researching I found a problem.
      So at first you need to create a plane in OBJECT MODE then TURN EDIT MODE then transform tour plane whatever you want then TURN IN OBJECT MODE and now you can use bevel modification. Idk why it works like that, but also if you will do something like that in object mode and turn in edit mode your inset will work wrong. And I also don't understand why. But this is solution of that problem.

    I watched your video from 11 months ago, I can't make the same thing since I just started using blender last 2 days ago, and I am using the latest version of it while you are using the old one since it's 11 months ago, I look through your channel and saw that you're still uploading videos up to now, that made me feel great since I can learn something from you, you deserve more subs, and you just earned 1 right now :D Nice Work!

      In my case, the alpha node in the painting material was connected somehow. If that's the case disconnecting it might solve it.

  • @Diandredofus

    A question about inverting the normal map: The invert node does not invert values uniformly, the slider ranging from 0 => 1 simply maps that value to a value between the input and its inverse. So at 0, a value of 0.1 stays 0.1 but turns into 0.9 if the slider is moved to 1.
    Which means that, at a factor of 0.5, every pixel in the map now translates to 0.5, nullifying the effect of the map. It can be confirmed with the viewer node.
    Sure, it has the effect of reducing/amplifying roughness overall, but the fact that it doesn't do that uniformly (effectively crushing the map) may not be the effect we're looking for.
