Ha, I love you Pete. When the Music's Over is my all-time favorite Doors tune. I was kinda hoping one of you'd have Indian Summer in there somewhere. Easily in my top five.

I actually got burned out on the Doors in the early 90’s when the movie came out and everyone in collage played them non-stop. (I could see how the same thing could happen for some people today with Queen and their rise in popularity with release of Bohemian Rhapsody). Jamie L, Wow. . . your Comments brought back vivid memories. I too got burned out when Oliver Stone's The Doors movie was released. I saw the movie 3 if not more times. I bought all the Doors albums. I borrowed videos from my corner video store about The Doors. I look back and laugh. I can now finally see what the critics were on about regarding the movie. It was a directionless mess that even Val Kilmer said 20 years later was just about "tits and ass." I like your Top 10.Way to go dude.

The Doors.. I am now 63 as of this writing and top 10, in March 2019 My favorite song from Summer, July, 1967 when I was aged 11 was "Light My Fire!" I saw the intense movie "Apocalypse Now" in 1981, and read Danny Sugarman's book, " No one here gets out alive," in 1980, so my Doors " resurgance" peaked in July, 1980! The first Tribute band I ever saw was a popular NYC/NJ/NJ shore band called CRYSTAL SHIP in the late 1970's early 1980's... I have a decent Jimbo singing range. One of my regular Karaoke songs to sing is " Riders..." The Doors were huge here in Australia when I was growing up in the '60's and 70's.....wrap yr thinkin gear around that. We couldn't get enough US culture here back then from tv shows to music. It was full immersion on an epic scale. Love her madly, La Woman, the End, Riders on the storm, Break on through...all background to growing up in Oz.

Wow . . . I am impressed fellas. Not TO touch the Earth of the Waiting for the Sun is my second, if not favorite song. The Doors movie by Oliver Stone does Not to Touch the Earth visual justice as it is truly a key, movie highlight. Stone illustrates the best and worst of Jim Morrison in that 4 minute piece. The End is my favourite. Let's not forget, the song The End opens my favourite movie Apocalypse Now. Still considered as the PERFECT song married to a film montage. What a miraculous band. To bookend with 'Riders on the Storm' and begin with 'Light My Fire'. The only comparable American band is CCR. This is a beautiful discography and yours is a very good ranking of it.

Saw the Robbie Krieger Band a couple of years ago and he's got his son as a very capable lead singer. They did The End for the first time on the tour. When they came to the famous Oedipal passage it went like this; Waylon Krieger: "Father!" Robbie: "Yes, son" Waylon: "I want to kill you. Mother! (God forgive me) I want to........." etc. Blew me away.

Been a big Doors fan since the 70's. Like you guys said,"No one else sounds like them." I like Pete's list,but would have to get Not to Touch the Earth and Spanish Caravan in the top 10.Coincidentally,I just listened to the Strange Days album yesterday and had forgotten how much I love that album.

Wow . . . I am impressed fellas. Not TO touch the Earth of the Waiting for the Sun is my second, if not favorite song.
The Doors movie by Oliver Stone does Not to Touch the Earth visual justice as it is truly a key, movie highlight. Stone illustrates the best and worst of Jim Morrison in that 4 minute piece.
The End is my favourite. Let's not forget, the song The End opens my favourite movie Apocalypse Now. Still considered as the PERFECT song married to a film montage.

Saw the Robbie Krieger Band a couple of years ago and he's got his son as a very capable lead singer. They did The End for the first time on the tour. When they came to the famous Oedipal passage it went like this; Waylon Krieger: "Father!" Robbie: "Yes, son" Waylon: "I want to kill you. Mother! (God forgive me) I want to........." etc. Blew me away.
