Galaxy Z Fold 6 - Finally! Samsung is FIXING the issue

- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will offer some significant upgrades as Samsung is finally fixing this issue on the Z Fold smartphones. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra which probably will see a limited release will have a less noticeable display crease. Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in July.

I'm pretty sure leaks say the Fold 6 will now be almost as wide as regular slab phones when closed. No longer long and narrow. So IF the leaks are true, they might have learnt Something 😅

If the glass is thicker, is it still ultra thin glass? Sounds like kinda thin glass 😅
They keep focusing on the inner screen crease to distract customers from the hinge quality issues. After using the Fold 4 for over a year, the hinge connector broke, leaving the phone unable to reboot. Repairing it is so expensive that it's almost the same cost as buying a new phone. Be cautious if you decide to buy any folding phone.

had my fold 5 since October, had no issues at all and my battery last all day

I've had my fold 3 for 3 years now, and the crease doesnt bother me at all. Ive been waiting for wider fold before updating. If Mix fold 4 goes global I might jump ship 😮

As a Fold5 owner, I actually like the feeling of the fold when I rub my finger over it tbh, idk why. And it's not visible when you're watching media or playing games. All I want is a wider cover screen, something the fold desperately needs.

1:53 I believe and I think I should be proven right after the Z6 fold comes out that the thicker glass will cause a lot more issues, especially with cracks, especially with all these foldings going on. I'll sit out the Z Fold 6 upgrade.

It's OK. Samsung has better out of warranty repair service compared to other brands which no one is talking about......
For example- Samsung repaired my 4 year old galaxy watch for very reasonable reasonable price.

Ahhh every year i hear this same news but it never came true
They need to address the poor quality outer hinges and the fact that almost no z fold can go 6 months without an in error screen malfunction - ie. Vertical or horizontal lines of dead or black pixels for no reason or for a very slight bump on the outer hinges. Terrible. I have TWO useless z fold 4 and 5) thanks to lines on the inner screen. Nope. Maybe I will give the 5 a chance on a refurb, but at this point, I think am going for a tablet. Too bad. I was a fan of Samsung for many many years. They don't really want to help. They just want me to spend more money.
Chinese manufacturers offer screens with a less pronounced crease at the sacrifice of water resistance.
Not really! Huawei and Honor phones offer water resistance while providing a creaseless display
We do not care at all about the details of the device because we know very well that the changes we only want are for the external screen to be 6.5, similar to regular devices. The Chinese companies outperformed Samsung in this matter. If it were not for the Samsung interface ( one ui ) , I would have gone to buy the Honor device

The fold series phones must be a little wider in its default state, it is still less in width which makes the phone not enough good looking!
I think the biggest issue is screen size.
It is unfortunate that is still using the Gen3 snapdragon and only 12gb
With the amount of greed and "money grabbing" policies going on with Samsung lately, be happy they didn't just put the laggy Exynos in there

My Fold 1 has 512gb and 12gb ram. Why should I buy the fold 6, that's 5 entire new models newer when it has identical specs. They don't even try to move the top specs a little. I know that one of them has a 1 tb model but come on. We should be at 1.25Tb max. My s20 ultra has 16gb ram, so why upgrade?

@jimking81 Not buying it doesn't mean you don't get to try them. You literally mentioned it on your first comment. I tested it didn't like the crease, didn't like the display size. Ended up not purchasing it.

Z fold 5 is very durable so is the s23 ultra. I drop them both daily 😢
I feel like we need the ultra fold 6 w the same aspect ratio and design elements of the Honor Magic V2 RSR Porsche edition, Huawei Mate X5 foldable, and Vivo fold 3 variations. I told everyone at SAMSUNG to make 2 foldables like the ultra with everything included and stylus in the box. They should also study the one plus open. Also they have to do is study the hardware on software Samsung is a beast
The price they are charging it should be a ultra anyway..

Sorry to say. I'm not impressed by it. Owned the folds 2, 3, and 4. Didn't get the 5. Never like the crease and also the aspect ratio. Some games would be too zoom in or too zoom out. Will stick with the regular galaxy phone.
If the crease is not completely removed. Samsung will always stay behind competition.

Still don't understand why people like this. It would make way more sense to have a tablet that folds down, id buy that. But this just seems pointless, what scenario would i need this for?
You mean a phone that folds into a tablet? It's great. I do flashcard and Handwrie the answers learning languages. I do this for 2 hours a day every day no matter what else is on my schedule. This phone let's me do it anywhere. The notes screens were too small. I have to write full sentences on some cards and it just wasn't enough space before the folds. I also use my phone to sort, edit, and export from my lightroom library on the go. I have more than 30k images to sort right now. Larger screen and pen make editing, sorting, etc way more pleasant and when I want to show my portfolio to people the screen size really makes it pop. My customers ALL like it more than when I had a normal phone size. Viewing documents and contracts and signing off on things is a lot more pleasant too.
I run my business and work off my phone often, use it as my main learning tool, and use it for art. The folding phone makes it waaaay better for those things.
If you just watch TH-cam and Twitter or whatever then just get a normal phone. But folding phones, ones with pens specifically, make my life better.
@cheeeeezewizzz sounds like you should just get a real tablet. I have the TabS9 Ultra, it makes 0 sense to own that device. I'd rather just have my tablet fold down and become more portable. That screen is only like 1inch larger than the Ultras now, not worth it

@jdmz1103 I do have a regular tablet. But if I want to carry that tablet then I now have to add a bag, the tablet itself, the weight of whatever case the tablet is in. And that would be bare minimum. That's like....2 lbs at least. When instead I can just get it all done on a device I always carry with me at all times. My tablet does occasionally get used for those purposes of course, especially when I'm on a specifically work centric excursion, but often is left at home.
Ah, I live in a very large city and work and move all over the city daily. Typically I walk about 15 miles a day and may cover more than 300 miles a day on a daily basis with a combo of metro, taxis, etc. Where I live that's very common for many people.
At this point I think my S23 ultra is too good to go for another 2 years. Sure Samsung will mature till then😂😂😂😂

Same crap was said last year about the crease… and ughhh there still a big ass crease. Samsung is being beat every year by much smaller company’s at its own game. I think Samsung wins mostly in software…even that is mosty made by google.

Same crap candybar display , samsung hasn't learned from other foldable phones that have out sold them because they have better cameras and a bigger outter display !!!!!!! Even googles fold 2 is have an 8 inche display when opened and samsung is still with this crap. Ive had a fold since the 3 and its been disappointing year after year. I might have to switch to the google fold
They won't make any meaningful change until Apple gets in the game. The Chinese phones are not a threat to them in most of the world markets😅
