Hey friend, so I got my first machine today as Xmas gift and of course what arrived isn't what was pictured! I received 1 gun instead of 2. Long story short my question is it possible to adjust this 1 machine from liner ta shade? If not then I think they just sent me a shader according to watching ya make adjustments. When I look at my gun it only makes sense to put pin at 1 o'clock. Hopefully I can just adjust allen screws n make it work. Thanks Todd
@@TwistedTattoo.WarShorts 1 more question if ya don't mind , i did receive what looks like 2 guiding silver tubes which get set by allen screw at opposite ends of silver tube in grip. 1 has opening where ya can see the needle move but it's closed at point like the one ya put in your liner. The other is like open at the point I'm guessing because absolutely no instructions came lol but my guess it's a shade type point guide? Thanks again
It's nice to know that there is way to tune a tattoo machine and their differences. The sounds itself look nice and for sure everyone learn from your tutorial it's really helpful.
I’m so glad I found you! I’ve never tattooed before and I’m very just beginning and this is so well described and helpful. All of your beginner videos are very easy to understand!! Thank you! 🥰
It's nice to know the proper setup of a tattoo machine and the meaning of sound of it on how to used it. I have not see people in actual doing a tattoo but for sure people doing it are really professional. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
The amarture bar on that liner should be slightly down just so the contact screw hits just about the tip of that spring. And I would just set it like that if it was a color packer with a longer and slower throw(with a strong hit), or a fast liner(also with a very strong hit) with shorter throw. It depends on the coils and capacitors you have. These details are mighty important to tattoo. So may be a good idea making a video of that too in the future for further instruction. Cheers. ✌
@@TwistedTattoo.WarShorts just wanted to say that this video helped me set my machine up last night in less than 10 minutes for the very first time! And I watched people who have been tattooing for years take over 30 minutes to put one together 🤣🤣 Thank you again SO much! I'll be letting everyone know where I got my lessons from! 😁

Whok else is a 14 yr old who knows nothing about tatoo machines but wants a tatoo so instead of finding a pro who will do it they are just buying a 300$ kit to do it themselves 😂✋ lol jk but this is a great informational video
hey man, machine just arrived and when i try to tune it the contact screw keeps sliding off the spring but ive tried to tighten it but it still keeps just coming loose any idea what i could do? 😢
I just found out through your video, that I am using a fader machine for linings. Is it possible to shorten the spring, so the contact screw can be set up correctly?
That whole nickel and dime "gap" is the distance of a gap you should be able to see when the armature bar is moving thus being the Stroke Length simply sliding either between your front spring and contact screw don't really make any difference as I proved in a How To Really Set Liners and Shaders video on my account on this. Just by because aware of how many people go by that very misunderstood rule of thumb leads me to believe there's Alot of people doing linework with what should be a shader and the other way aroun aswell. That was one of the first things I learned during my 3 year apprenticeship from a artist who's been in TATTOO Magazine on a few occasions and is probably the biggest oldschool secret in the tattoo industry today
I’m new to this but I have the exact coil machine (the one with the money on it) and this honestly might sound so stupid but did u take the plastic wrap off the coils? I’m reading the instructions and it doesn’t stay anything and I started picking at it but it’s on their pretty good so it makes me think that it’s supposed to be? Idk
I appreciate your videos very much! First timer, so these sure help. :) I had a question about tuning. What sound is a "good" sound? I'm not sure what to listen for.. Is it quieter when it's well tuned? Thanks a lot! 💕Suki

Your machine just needs to be tuned more! If your machine was running properly it wouldn't be having that issue 👍
Same here cant seem to stop it
You just need to get your machine tuned correctly be fine then👍
What volt should it be put on during the time of tattooing?
Depends on if your shading or lining and what type of machine you are using 👍
put it as low as possible till it turns on. So flick start it, and wait to hear the machine actually pushing the ink.
