Your like the only person on TH-cam that explained this shit right for everyone to understand and show examples of how hard and how much practice tattooing needs

Remember that the average epidermis is 20 micrometers (0.02mm thick). That is 5 times thinner than a sheet of paper. It's almost impossible to tattoo without reaching the dermis. So don't worry about being too shallow.
if it’s too shallow the ink will just fall out when it heals. the epidermis also varies on different places of the body, like eyelids are around 0.02mm but most areas are around 1-2mm and palms can be around 3mm
The average human epidermis is 1.5mm thick. To properly deposit ink, you need to reach the dermis roughly 2mm, if you go to shallow the tattoo will fall out.
I've tattooed myself as an apprentice. My first tattoo was too shallow and literally fell off in parts when healed. Working too shallow should be a major concern for beginners.
I just started I’m on my 3rd day! I’m using Yuelong .25mm thin skin and I’m having a lot of success! I did a rose today the size of a palm fully shaded! 3rd day ever touching a tattoo machine! I love your videos and I can’t Thankyou enough for all your hard work in these videos! You’re awesome bro and mad appreciated!
God bless you Daniel. I've decided to dedicate my life to art, mostly tattooing and you have no idea how useful your videos are. This is real knowledge I need. Not like those curses that just sell air. Thanks a lot.
I'm brand new to this and these videos are perfect for starting out I've filled a full A5 skin today practising depth/sounds/blowing out/ too soft/too hard everything and it's made me advance a little bit already I can actually tell when I'm right and wrong already still a long way to go yet but thanks for sharing these videos such a massive help 👍🏻
I don’t understand. If the standard dermis layer on a real person is 2mm deep than using a 1.2mm practice skin would be the opposite of helpful as you would have to drive the needles all the way through the practice skin to achieve optimal depth. I would assume using a 3.0mm thick practice skin would be optimal as you would then have enough material to drive the needles to the optimal depth without puncturing through the entire practice skin. Additionally with the 3mm thickness it would be obvious when you had a blow out as the ink would be visible on the underside of the practice skin as a result of the ink being deposited to the 3mm depth! Your input and advise would be appreciated. Thank you.
Im looking to get my first tattoo soon and seeing exactly how much needle is used to get to that layer makes me feel a MILLION times better about getting a tat.
I am glad I was able to shed some insight on that aspect of the tattooing process. If I may ask, Did you ever get your first tattoo? If you did I am curious to know how it went and what you got? Also don't hesitate to let me know if you ever have any questions at all. I will do my best to assist you in the best possible direction.
Thank you for your feedback, time and support! I appreciate you. I now don't mind working on any thickness practice skin as I have developed a comfortable understanding of what I need to be looking, feeling and listening for upon tattooing. So now I kind of naturally just know where my needle tip is supposed to go. These thinner skins did make all of the difference in the early stages of my tattooing journey and kind of set the tone for how heavy my hand would be on human skin. Should you ever have any questions at all along your journey please don't hesitate to reach out to me and I will do my best to assist you in the best possible direction.
Haha hey I don’t encourage home tattooing without the correct skill sets, however I’m unclear on your capabilities. For all I know you could be awesome. I am very interested, how did the work come out?
@@DanielYuck I like how it came out, doesn’t look like I’d have to hit someone up to fix it later 😂 then again I chose a relatively easy design that was mainly lining and stacking lines I’m leaving anything with shading in it to the professionals, which now that I know what a tattoo needle feels like I feel way more comfortable booking an appointment instead 😁
Me too I hated the way the ink worked on the fake skin and the on myself it was more clear with how I needed to stretch the skin, how much certain places hurt, and how deep I was going.
I just bought my wormhole and all the stuff needed with the help of a tattoo artist friend. Unfortunately she lives far away so these videos you post are gonna be my guide. I've got skins coming today and everything else is here. Il be making lines and dots all afternoon 🤘🙏
Thanks a lot for all of your videos. I was using thicker practice skin at first and I thought I was ready to try on myself. I ended up getting a few barely noticeable blow outs but now I’m switching to thinner practice skin so o can know how far is too far. This video definitely helped me a lot, Thanks a lot!!
Thank you for your time, support and feedback! I am glad I am able to help you out in a different direction. For me when I started with thinner practice skins I was forced to develop that soft hand approach which in return allowed me to not have problems with blowing the skin out. For some it can be good for others it can be bad as we all learn in different ways, I feel. How is the tattooing going on your end as of now?

Awesome videos. I'm new to rotary/pens. Been tattooing on and off since 1995. Did a 3 year apprenticeship in AZ. Made needles built machines(coil) made needles with a jig. I too like to go from needle depth rather than ride the tube. I like how your video is detailed and to the point. These rotary's are lighter less hand fatigue, quieter and just all around better. Guess I need to get with the times. From one artist to another great job. I'm just used to coils.
That sounds like a great and fun tattooing journey. The idea of building and development does cross my mind as I develop software, so my brain naturally works this way. The idea of making needles seems fun as well granted I would be able to achieve my ideas haha. I genuinely appreciate your support and feedback my bro! Thank you very much for your time! 🤝
Hey! This video is a great help! I’ve just been given my tattoo apprenticeship so I’m able to have some knowledge before actually getting down to tattooing people! Thanks!

Hey man I practiced on myself last night and whilst the stencils I made and art came out good all my lines are a little wonky and in some parts the ink didn't really sit at all. this vid actually helped a lot. if I retry this at some point on myself or practice skin il pay attention to this as I didn't realise that speed and needle depth was super important, kinda seems obvious now I watch this, also realised I have to watch my voltage!
Ahhh so you just dived in, dived in. haha I can't knock or say anything about that as you are your own individual. Furthermore, wonky lines can vary but are typically from lack of experience on the current setup or tattooing in general. Wonky lines can come from not being confident even if we already know how to tattoo, they can come from not being comfortable and the list continues. Wonky lines would be more so on the stability side. When you match your hand speed with a healthy voltage for the application at hand, we will get a more consistent line. I really feel that pulling good lines comes from having a certain calibered skillset combined with a certain level of confidence. I remember my first ever tattoo was a little yoshi on my leg and the lines were wonky I would say because I didn't have those skillsets. Over some time, I developed and now I look forward to tattooing on human skin and my consistency continuously progresses. That is a good question! I think it would depend on the practice skin you are using. Reason I say this is because some practice skins are of a rubber felt, some are of a silicone felt, etc. I have used the rubber felts and those fake skins feel like they have deep cuts when I tattoo with any configuration at any depth. I have silicone felts and those do not cut open like the rubber felts. So it would depend on the specific felts you are using. Would you be able to confirm which fake skin felt you're using?
@@lankowlllyk If you run a slow clean line you essentially are cutting the skin at its surface. You can cut the skin and rub ink in and get a line also, but the goal of a gun and needle is to perforate in a way that connects the line at the surface. Some skin has a tendency to want to just shear instead of accept the multiple pokes. If the client has nice skin I would say the cutting is proof you are damaging the skin to some degree. Its very tricky to learn. I still don't know for sure what I'm doing but want to reinvest in these skins to practice between tattoos and keep muscle memory built up.
@@ryansizemore5064 thanks man that makes sense. I think the solid lines I pull at the right depth only have a slight texture difference and the ones that feel cut are due to hand speed/voltage mismatch or going too deep

i have been practicing on fake skin for a little while, and decided to do some practice on myself. i have tattooed myself once before and it came out really well! this one did not, lol but this video helped a lot with the issues that i dealt with, so thank you! i think ill get some more practice on fake skin for a while :P
Thank you for your support and feedback! I appreciate you. If I may, what style of tattoo did you do on yourself that didn't come out good? One thing is certain for me, Had I not practiced and practice on fake skins I would not have this channel, let alone be here talking with you all today. I made the choice early on that I would learn and get comfortable on fake skins prior to tattooing human skin. I feel you are on the right track.
@@DanielYuck Ive been practicing mostly traditional style work, which is my personal favorite, and i feel a good starting point. i think another problem i had was the placement of it, and i couldn't really stretch the skin very well! thank you for the reply and the words of wisdom! Im gonna keep practicing!
@@Forevermore141 ahhh I hear you. Placement can be touch sometimes. I’m big in being comfortable upon tattooing. If I’m not comfortable or I don’t feel stable I will move until I can feel comfortable with the placement. When I stretch skin I use my palms and fingers to get a nice good stretch on the skin. It’s hard if we are tattooing awkwardly or are uncomfortable from the jump. So I get comfortable, find my A to B, stretch and pull the lines. Keep pushing don’t give up! I'm always afraid to get tattoos now because my first three tattoos had blowouts, even though I did research before I even went on which people were best. so sad
Oh no! Are the blow outs easy to read upon looking at the tattoo? From what I’ve seen blowouts happen to even the most experienced artists around the world. Sure we can always do our absolute best to not blow anyone out but it can happen and for many reasons. Some examples of blowouts happening can be caused by the certain position the line was pulled, say the tattooist didn’t set comfortably prior to tattooing the line so they went a bit deep over what had been originally anticipated. Another way can be not transitioning to the appropriate depth on certain areas of the skin, can simply apply too much pressure and the list can go on and on. It is unfortunate but can happen to the best of the best.
@@DanielYuck Thanks for the reply! Yeah, my first tattoo on my ribs is really bad. Multiple blowouts, and it's super splotchy now and not well done. I tried to do my research but I should have left after talking to the artist because he was super mean and didn't explain anything to me, and tried to rush through it. I was new to tattoos, though, and didn't know how bad he actually was until I had more experience. The other two are less noticeable than the first. I know it can happen to anyone but I feel like I have bad luck! I want to get one on my bicep but I know a lot of blowouts happen there so I'm really afraid, haha Maybe I'll work up to it with one specific artist so they can be more familiar with me?
@@Mindofliz it's more dependant on the style you get and the placement. If you get fine line it's more likely to be noticiable over something that gets more skin coverage. Also if you get the tattoo with an area that regularly stretches it's more likely to get complications (or make you move when you get it if it's a painful spot like the ribs) Best thing to do is speak to a few artists in your area before you make a final decision 👍
@@Mindofliz Ahhh yea me personally I feel if you go to a tattoo artist and they are rude, mean, or negative I would NOT allow them to input ink into my skin as tattoos involve energy and a lot of spiritual things we can choose to believe in or not, to each their own. So for me thats a bad sign, I remember getting a couple of my first tattoos and they are not even memories anymore. I literally don't remember much about my tattoos I got at 18 in a professional shop but some how I remember getting a tattoo on my stomach at 14 with a guitar string and a homemade tattoo machine. I remember using that very homemade tattoo machine to attempt to tattoo myself but that did not go well haha. In terms of being afraid of blowouts, I would be too. I feel it is more about looking at someones work, talking with them and trying to get in the same frequencies so you 2 are on the same page. Find a tattooist you can go to and feel super confident each and every tattoo you get, and they are out there, we may just have to do the footwork.
As a musician who is learning how to tattoo I LOVE how this video says what to listen for when you're tattooing! Definitely will help me when I start on human skin and will definitely help me with my practice skins my wife got me 😁
Good video! Maybe make a video showing angle of machine while tattooing lines, shading and packing? My Mentor let me practice my linework and all on him and myself. A few bloodline tattoos and I was ready for the first tattoo with actual ink. It was only black...lined and packed. That was 1977...Damn time does fly!
That’s actually a very good idea! I was going to make a video on how I approach larger scale tattoos and upon creating this video I can incorporate this idea in there as well. What is your setup your working with now? If I may what was the setup you were using when you started?

I’m genuinely so confused on things. Like how do you know what voltage to use vs how slow/fast you tattoo ? Also I heard going to fast with certain needles can just shred the skin… or dragging it a certain way? How do we know what is what
Voltage is different for everyone since every tattoo machine hits differently. Voltage is really something you just get your own feel for after practicing and trying to match it with your hand speed

Thanks for the very helpful video. I started out practicing on myself and got quite a few blowouts on my fingers. Probably time to start doing more practice on the fake skins.
Thank you for your time, feedback and support first and foremost! I genuinely appreciate you. For me the fingers have been 1 of by far the toughest spots to tattoo. Designs that run through the creases are sooooo difficult but look soooo good if executed correctly. The reason I say fingers are difficult is because there is just so much room for error and any mistake we make will read and show because it is living on prime real estate, everyone see's the finger tattoos. Plus the skin on the fingers is so thin and very very easy to blow out. There is just a bit to consider upon tattooing fingers in my eyes. I also do highly recommend practicing on fake skin as fake skins are great to develop techniques and get comfortable with the tattooing process in general. Hiya. Great video. I've just started out practicing on fake skin. I read a lot of comments that line work should be around 7-8v with a wand. I personally feel better with a much slower 3-4v. What are the issues with using lower voltage, my lines are evenly saturated with no blow outs after a few months of practice
I know how to line but damn.. just had one I forgot ointment on.. lines were ghosty.. just got a coil.. did two tattoos before his with this new machine.. worked great... think ointment is to blame for light lines? I mean dude I struggled and sweated just to make one solid line.. lmk
Oh damn. So if I’m understanding correctly you stated that you did a tattoo with no ointment prior to putting the needle to the skin? If I’m understanding that correctly yea we’d want to make sure that the part of the body that we are going to be tattooing has to have a small amount of something to moisten the skin over going in dry. I feel if we are just pulling lines without moistening the skin prior this would cause even more discomfort and pain for the client. Always use something to moisten the skin prior to pulling lines. If the lines are not dark and saturated there could be many variables to consider. From not going too deep, moving too fast etc. What machine do you use ?
I absolutely love how were all tattooing are own selfs now'a'days. Cuz they charging up the ass out here in Cali. Haven't gone in years and both my legs are sleeved up, done my neck, my arms, my stomach etc. I'm a very patient person(also ambidextrous) tho so I don't condone doing more then your thigh if your not good with control of your hands.
Thank you very much for your support! When it comes to fake skin I use simple petroleum jelly, some would call it vaseline. It makes wiping away excess ink on fake skin a breeze. do you have any recommendations for wiping the fake skin during tattooing? The thin, rubber like skins (that I have) are so much more smudgy than the thick silicone ones. Great video!
Thank you for your support! That’s a great question. So when I’m tattooing on fake silicone skin I use simple Vaseline to remove any excess ink. Now how the ink comes off is determined by the material of the fake skin you’re using. I made a video on different types of fake skins right here you can check out and I also share with you the ones I use personally. Here is the video and don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions. th-cam.com/video/GGkt_ZW-AFU/w-d-xo.html
@@Edwinqq I don’t fully agree with that. From my experience using multiple skins and different types of skin, on ALL of them, Vaseline has been the best way to remove excess ink, smudges, etc. I can’t even recall if I’ve ever actually used any alcohol to clean off smudges from a practice skin. Furthermore cleaning with alcohol I don’t recommend as you will be inhaling those vapors the entire tattoo session which I personally wouldn’t feel comfortable with, where we have Vaseline with no odor and does the job in what I would describe as better over alcohol. That’s just from my personal experience.
My thought exactly when I first got hand in these fake skins. That surely it is better to practice on these thinner skins, over those 3+mm thick silicone skins. Cause on these you can see your mistakes on the backside. It have been my goal for every one of these I've finished, to not have blow outs on the backside of them. And I can say, it is clear to see a difference from the first skin I tried on, to now 20+ skins later.
Can you do a video about wraps and grip? ( grip I think you covered already) wrapping a machine is personal preference, but, there's a lot of techniques with different wraps. Fat wraps for lining, smaller ones for shading and flicking, medium for color packing, etc. Love your videos! You keep it straight to the point.
That is actually a good topic for me to cover! As I type this I can also think of a hand full of variables I would like to touch base on as well. I will do my best to make this happen asap. Thank you for your support and feedback!

Love the videos man. Can anyone tell me Is riding the Tube just awful technique? If so why? I’m just starting out and it seems like the easiest way for me to remain consistent and gauge my depth on practice skin.
Idk if you answer to these most don't. Can you do a tutorial on stencils. Mine bleed to much. Am I applying to much stencil lotion?Lotion?. I tried putting less but it doesn't look as clear.
Thank you for reaching out! I appreciate you. I actually have a hand full of videos I made on this exact topic as I had issues in the beginning with stencils. Is the sound when he starts a new line the sound of him hitting the skin too hard at first or the sound of the machine hitting the skin for the first time?
I’m not sure I fully understand the question in it’s entirety but I will try to explain. The sound we hear is a combination of different things. A lot of the sound is coming from the table that I am tattooing on. It carries the sound of the machine through out the table so it makes it sound louder a bit and I’m using a thin & tough fake skin that requires a certain depth to saturate. I feel it maybe a combination of different elements we are hearing.
tattooed for 20 years never used fake skins till now . My ink stuck great in the Gospire brand and would like to see what you think of them. Thought maybe it was your ink works better on those skins or something what would u suggest

Hi, I'm practicing tattooing on the same practice skin as you and the lines look good even if I tattoo so deep the needle goes through. When you refer to it being easy to spot a blowout on thin practice skin do you mean that the blowout shows up as the needle going through? I'm just wondering if the right needle depth is when the needle is still fully staying inside. Might be a dumb question honestly but I've been told the needle should go somewhere between 1-2mm and if the skin is 1.2mm does it mean a blowout if I tattoo through... Love your videos btw! So helpful!
This Video ist so helpfull! I Work with a CNC Q6 and CNC CW2-1 Wireless . The Trick with the Crackling Sound and the needles build a perfekt dot when we are in the dermis are the best Tips i ever heard! I feel it on the skin with the stretching fingers when im at the right spot it vibrates! Thanks for Your Videos, best wishes from Austria/Vienna 🇦🇹 PATZL-TATTOO 🫡😉🙌
So the dermis is 3 to 4mm beneath the epidermis. Which means I can have my needle coming out at the 3mm mark but only use 1.5 mm depth and not ride the tube. Now won’t I still be just outing in in the epidermis at 1.5mm? Please let me know.
A friend of mine is from prison and tattooing for 23 years is trying to figure out what he's doing wrong, some tattoo ink will take and then sometimes it doesn't. He wants to know why
That’s a good question! I think it all depends and on multiple variables! Would you happen to know what machine he is using? Is he using cartridge needles or barred needles? Typically if the ink isn’t staying it’s because we aren’t getting the ink into the correct layer of the skin, and each part of the body will require different depths and on each person the depth will always vary. So there’s many things that can be simultaneously going wrong upon his work flow. I would have to see an image or 2 and I sound possibly be able to shed some more insight as to what maybe going on.
so your Yuelong thin skin is easier to run lines on than the 3mm . I ask because they were out of the thin ones you recommended. Iam using Star Bright and was having a time then tried some practice ink and worked much better what would you suggest please and thank u

haha uh oh. I don't condone self practice nor would I sit here and be against you for it. I am very curious how it healed up, send me a picture. If I may ask what style of tattoo was it?
Are you saying that you use Vaseline to do your tattoos on human skin? If so I have seen so many people use Vaseline to to their tattoos and I’m certain it was working long before I started tattooing, whether or not it’s good for the tattoo or skin I can not be certain. I wouldn’t personally know if any long term effects from using Vaseline. What I can say is the tattoos that I have had done on me with Vaseline healed with a tint or green over the tattoos I have done with tattoo designed products heal black and stay very dark with little to no green tinting at all. Again I can not tell you any true information about this but I’m theory I don’t see Vaseline contributing to the look of the tattoo long term.
so when we talk about "hand control" on how dark or soft the ink is going to be shown, how can it be very light and still not disappears after healing? (cuz a lot of pll only uses dark ink for different shades of dark

@@DanielYuck will do sir thank you!
@@ambersmith2925 thank you. i just made a comment asking how an entire line of my tattoo peeled off leaving no ink at all behind.
Awesome, thanks
I've tattooed myself as an apprentice. My first tattoo was too shallow and literally fell off in parts when healed. Working too shallow should be a major concern for beginners.
I just started I’m on my 3rd day! I’m using Yuelong .25mm thin skin and I’m having a lot of success! I did a rose today the size of a palm fully shaded! 3rd day ever touching a tattoo machine! I love your videos and I can’t Thankyou enough for all your hard work in these videos! You’re awesome bro and mad appreciated!
Post a video please
Great tips. I use the same thickness practice skin and it was very helpful in knowing if I had the needle depth set right and if I had blowout.

I started off practicing on myself 🤣
Haha hey I don’t encourage home tattooing without the correct skill sets, however I’m unclear on your capabilities. For all I know you could be awesome. I am very interested, how did the work come out?
@@DanielYuck I like how it came out, doesn’t look like I’d have to hit someone up to fix it later 😂 then again I chose a relatively easy design that was mainly lining and stacking lines I’m leaving anything with shading in it to the professionals, which now that I know what a tattoo needle feels like I feel way more comfortable booking an appointment instead 😁
that's the best way
Me too I hated the way the ink worked on the fake skin and the on myself it was more clear with how I needed to stretch the skin, how much certain places hurt, and how deep I was going.

This has been the most informative beneficial video out of all that I’ve watched so far to learn the most important part as a beginner. Very good!
Very in depth and specific with good examples. Very helpful for someone just starting out. Great video.

4 words brotha… loyal to the coil

Hey man I practiced on myself last night and whilst the stencils I made and art came out good all my lines are a little wonky and in some parts the ink didn't really sit at all. this vid actually helped a lot. if I retry this at some point on myself or practice skin il pay attention to this as I didn't realise that speed and needle depth was super important, kinda seems obvious now I watch this, also realised I have to watch my voltage!
Ahhh so you just dived in, dived in. haha
I can't knock or say anything about that as you are your own individual.
I made a video on how I approach lining with this mandala style tattoo and that video is right here th-cam.com/video/ynwOPUy931Y/w-d-xo.html

After pulling a line, should the practice skin feel like it’s sorta cut when you run your finger over it? Or should there be no obvious cut or bump
@@DanielYuck Thanks for the answer, yeah I actually ordered a set you recommended and linked in one of your videos.
@@DanielYuck They're great skins, I was just wondering if i needed to adjust my depth or if it was something unavoidable

Nothing feels like human skin. If I practiced on it longer, I would have quit tattooing. I practice on myself and my husband🤓 The best way for me!
So I get comfortable, find my A to B, stretch and pull the lines.

this is a video i come back to over and over! its so helpful and just a continued visual reminder. thanks so much Daniel ✨
this was a very informative video thankyou very much just started tatooing and im learning all the basics right now ...definitely glad to have good videos like this to help....👍😎
U explained so much better then all the other's i have watched. 👍

Just bought a tattoo machine, it’s coming tomorrow and I’m extremely excited! I bought a bunch of fake skin
I want to get one on my bicep but I know a lot of blowouts happen there so I'm really afraid, haha
Maybe I'll work up to it with one specific artist so they can be more familiar with me?
@@Mindofliz it's more dependant on the style you get and the placement. If you get fine line it's more likely to be noticiable over something that gets more skin coverage. Also if you get the tattoo with an area that regularly stretches it's more likely to get complications (or make you move when you get it if it's a painful spot like the ribs)
Best thing to do is speak to a few artists in your area before you make a final decision 👍
@@Spoonerisim Very nice! Well said my friend!
As a musician who is learning how to tattoo I LOVE how this video says what to listen for when you're tattooing! Definitely will help me when I start on human skin and will definitely help me with my practice skins my wife got me 😁
Being a musician means you can hear the sound better? 😂
@@quantumblurrr lmfao look at you, begging for attention 🤣
I have just started tattooing (practicing) and this is the best explained video out there! So thank you 🙏🏽
@@DanielYuck Started out with a Puma. From Spaulding in New York. Now I have about 75 machines Next Gen about 3. A few From a girl from China. I bought 3 machines from her for an excellent price. Excellent machines for $30 bucks apiece. Very quality machines. If you’re familiar with Kylin machines you’ll know what I mean! I’ve also got a Couple Soba machines. Iron horse and workhorse irons. Got a machine made for me from a guy in the UK. The rear coil is adjustable for a perfect hitter. It’s called the black lotus machine. Got a few made for me by Johnny Gault Also got a few infinite irons. Plus. mORE. Just can’t remember all the machines I have lol. Too many. Actually not enough. Lol
I’m genuinely so confused on things. Like how do you know what voltage to use vs how slow/fast you tattoo ? Also I heard going to fast with certain needles can just shred the skin… or dragging it a certain way? How do we know what is what
did you learn?
I’m not an expert or anything, but from what I heard, the voltage depends on which needle you use- higher voltage for bigger needles sort of thing
Voltage is different for everyone since every tattoo machine hits differently. Voltage is really something you just get your own feel for after practicing and trying to match it with your hand speed
It will shred and pull skin ive toyed with it and its roughish lol
Can depend on your hand speed shredding happens when you use way to fast of a volt even at a fast hand paste everything varies
thought i'd learn something new but then again i'm pretty experienced tattoo artist
anyway good job explaining
Haha thanks for tuning in! Thank you for your support
What a bad humble brag
Got my machine 3 days ago now and your videos have been a godsend 😭 I'd love to get an apprenticeship but can't afford to not make money 😩 One day!

I just got a kit off Amazon and fake skin! I’m pretty good for a new guy. But now watching your video I def went to deep in the practice skin
Nice teaching I learned a few things now
Thank you
I know how to line but damn.. just had one I forgot ointment on.. lines were ghosty.. just got a coil.. did two tattoos before his with this new machine.. worked great... think ointment is to blame for light lines?
Use less ointment and Dont use vaseline. Ink eeze is good or a&d
Thank u from France . I'm a beginner you help me so much.
Love the video definitely got a new subscriber. I am curious what product are you using to wipe after making a mark with ink?

Anything with a decent amount of alcohol is 1000x better than other things
@@Edwinqq I use alchohol but it kinda smear a little so I now use vasaline before I start
That’s just from my personal experience.
this is probably a bit late but oil helps a lot with removing the ink from fake skin
this is so helpful! your explanations are very easy to understand, thank u so muchhh

I actually do tattooing critiques on my channel. If you would like to be featured in a episode you can submit your images to YuckMadeThis@gmail.com

My first and only tattoo I have ended up being a blowout. The ink expanded and the lines even merged or faded
What do you put on your pinky when you rub out the ink ? Is it Vaseline?
yes
This helped me so much you don’t even know dude ty so much!
Man, i think I've been practicing my outline with the machine going too fast. Yours seems a lot slower. I'll need to try it this way.
Thank you so much for the Video. Great Work👍
So the dermis is 3 to 4mm beneath the epidermis. Which means I can have my needle coming out at the 3mm mark but only use 1.5 mm depth and not ride the tube. Now won’t I still be just outing in in the epidermis at 1.5mm? Please let me know.
Thank you man, you're the best!
Awesome videos Daniel! Keep up the great work!
Thank you 🙏 I appreciate your support 🤝
Do you clear out the excess ink with just paper towels or use some soap?
Thanks for the explanation bro
You’re welcome bro! Thank you for your support!
Don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions 🤝

@@TheRetroJester81 make that video
Can you do a video on multiple colors? Do I need to use a needle per color
I use Vaseline petroleum gel while, does it have any affect on the tattoo or the skin?
Are you saying that you use Vaseline to do your tattoos on human skin?
If so I have seen so many people use Vaseline to to their tattoos and I’m certain it was working long before I started tattooing, whether or not it’s good for the tattoo or skin I can not be certain.
I wouldn’t personally know if any long term effects from using Vaseline. What I can say is the tattoos that I have had done on me with Vaseline healed with a tint or green over the tattoos I have done with tattoo designed
products heal black and stay very dark with little to no green tinting at all. Again I can not tell you any true information about this but I’m theory I don’t see Vaseline contributing to the look of the tattoo long term.
so when we talk about "hand control" on how dark or soft the ink is going to be shown, how can it be very light and still not disappears after healing? (cuz a lot of pll only uses dark ink for different shades of dark
thank you so much! That's exactly what I needed !
Good video ! Keep it up
