Hello Jeremy. It's been almost a year now that we talk about the SGX670 and you've made us very good videos. I love mine and i'm still discovering new feature. It would be fun, useful and interesting if you make another video telling us were you are now with your DGX and what you have experience and discover since your first video of the 670. Hi, Jeremy. I bought my DGX 670 about a week ago and I am new to keyboards, having only had an upright piano. I am learning about all of the voices and styles and am trying to save some into the memory bank per your video. However I have not been able to figure out how to recall those saved files in order to use them, as well as to set up and use playlists. The instruction booklet was not a lot of help as I find that watching is my best learning style. If you could do a video on how to do that, I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

Can't thank you enough for this guide Jeremy. :). I was stuck on a bunch of stuff when I recently picksd up the DGX-670 3 weeks ago. Your in depth explanation on each of the features are easy to follow and understand. I was mostly stuck on how to setup drum beats and how to adjust the volume seperately for layer, left and main but using this video made it much easier. Gotta say I had tried the FP-30X in stores at Long & Mquade and it just didnt cut it for me. The keyboard didn't have enough tones to satisfy me and it felt more like a digital piano with only a few basic synth options than what the Yamaha model has. I also didnt like how when I tried it out the volume felt too soft for me compared to the Yamaha DGX-670. Thank you so much for this. Can always refer to this anytime I get stuck. Btw we both share the exact same first name irl ahahaha xD.
Thank you for your clear concise instructions. I am enjoying your online course as well. @11:16 you are explaining the Registration memory. You say press memory button and then press buttons 1 thru four. I MUST POINT OUT that your video does not show what happens next (which is my only point besides the one that pressing a button after memory CLEARS the checklist screen in the first place), next a 10 point CHECKLIST appears to clarify what gets saved. THEN the instrument specifically instructs that button 1 thru four be pressed.

Hi, Jeremy, I just received my DHX-670, and I'm so excited to learn and play! I played piano all through childhood and adulthood until I lost my pianos in a house fire. I also lost all my music in the fire. After over twenty- years, I decided on a digital keyboard replacement because of space and price, and because I think my twenty-three-year-old son will enjoy it more than a traditional piano. My question is about lessons for me. I'm not a beginner, but it's been a very long time since I've played, and I have more issues with arthritis, so will need to build and stretch muscles, etc... like a beginner would. Also, with this great keyboard, I'd like to learn how to really take advantage of all the extras. Can you point me in the direction of a good lessons program that might incorporate both piano and digital keyboard techniques? Do you offer such a series? Thank you so much for your videos. They helped me make the decision to go with the DGX-670, and I know I'm going to have a great time learning.

Hello my friend and thank you for the video. I also have a question. The other day my little daughter were messing up with our dgx-670 and she did something that every BCE and F buttons have double sounds. Those are white buttons that dont have black ones in between them. They have their regular notes and very low base notes. Making it imposible to play for my older kids that go to piano lessons. I was loking thru many different settings and couldnt undo it. Even did factory reset few times. But still same thing. I start thinking maybe its not setting was changed but some electronic damage ocured. Please adwise if you have any idea what it could be. Thanks.

Excellent! I just bought a DGX-670. One thing I can't figure out is that the 3-pedal unit doesn't work, but if I plug a single pedal into the AUX, it works fine. The 3-pedal from my older Yamaha YPG-635 fits perfectly, but is not recognized by the unit. I followed all manual instructions, but it only works on the older unit and not on the brand new DGX-670. Wonder if you've run into this before?
Does having an only headphones out inhibit the sound in anyway? What are the drawbacks to not having two direct line outs? Thank you. Great work btw I watch a lot of your videos. Thanks

Just got my DGX670 today! This is a whole new ball game going from a Casio CTK-573 to the DGX670. It definitely has the feel of a real piano. Now I have to get the muscle memory trained from the small keys to the full sized keys. Not sure I understand the chord tutor, Mine says "C" "Major" but shows an inversion

The movie strings voice (and several other strings voices) has a little bit of a scratchy sound in the background. What is it - a bug or a feature or a flaw in my keyboard?

This was an extremely good video, you are an excellent teacher. Do you have a video discussing the split point feature in more detail? This video discusses some of it, but I was wondering how to set the pitches of the left and right voices (raising or lowering the octaves voicing).

Hi Jeremy! I have an urgent problem with my dgx 670. I was recording songs into the device's storage. Than I thought I need to save my pieces into Midi format (before that it was saved in wav) and I did some wrong settings with the instrument. Now when I'm opening on computer, everything is in Midi-sequence something, and all of my saved recordings has terrible songs, when I want to listen them. Maybe You know the solution, that I can undo this, and make them again in wav?

Hi Jeremy - hope I can ask a question: I want my sync start button to be triggered when I press a key below the split point (or paying a chord)....and NOT when I start to play on my right hand. Is theire a way to change the SYNC START setting to only trigger on my left hand?
Compared to the P225, is there a loss of quality in the sounds or is the quality maintained? What happens is that other brands tend to sacrifice some things such as resonance, sampling, quality of the keys, etc. to reduce costs.
I ve just got this piano, although I’m not a fan of the piano sound, CFX sounds too bright to me and lows seem to be overwhelming comparing with highs. Is there a way to change it ?
Yes you can edit the voice itself, or ofcourse you can just pick a different piano sample from the options and try to edit those instead until you find something that works for you.
Definitely gonna get this in like a years time when it’s actually available to get my hands on, for now I had to settle with 660 which may not be as good, but definitely an improvement on the cheap Yamaha psr423 I had been using😅
The 670 is not available here in the States. I've been waiting to buy one since January when they were announced. The latest hint is some companies now saying "perhaps some time in May" So what other keyboards are out there, that might replace the 670? Is there ANYTHING with articulated voices and some arranger features with a graded key weight, under a thousand USD??
Whilst an outstanding instrument that I have on my shopping list (saving thousands from buying a CVP), no reviewer mentions the quality and performance of the speakers and keys. Are they acceptable or lacking when compared to a CVP?
I currently saw the data list pdf for the dgx 670 and I was wondering how many voices this keyboard actually has it says there's the regular voices legacy voices gm an xg voices and a gm 2 voices section that seems like it would come out to more than just 630 voices was just curious about this my guitar center is sold out of these right now and am not able to try one out to find out yet some info on this would be greatly appreciated

I'm very frustrated with the instrument and I worked with computer controlled synthesizers for several years. I have the style volume set to "0" and it's still too loud. Also turning the master volume down with the circular knob on the left does not drop the accompaniment volume. Is my instrument defective?

page 4 of the REFERENCE MANUAL: MENU, METRONOME SETTING, choose "1 metronome", fraction buttons 6 and 7 select numerators 1 thru 127 and denominators 2,4,8,16 respectively.

I mean when I change rhythms during they are playing I don't want playing rhythm that's I chose directly, I want playing intro to play automatically for each rhythm.

This was an extremely good video, you are an excellent teacher. Do you have a video discussing the split point feature in more detail? This video discusses some of it, but I was wondering how to set the pitches of the left and right voices (raising or lowering the octaves voicing).

I have an urgent problem with my dgx 670. I was recording songs into the device's storage. Than I thought I need to save my pieces into Midi format (before that it was saved in wav) and I did some wrong settings with the instrument.
Now when I'm opening on computer, everything is in Midi-sequence something, and all of my saved recordings has terrible songs, when I want to listen them.
Maybe You know the solution, that I can undo this, and make them again in wav?

Hi Jeremy - hope I can ask a question: I want my sync start button to be triggered when I press a key below the split point (or paying a chord)....and NOT when I start to play on my right hand. Is theire a way to change the SYNC START setting to only trigger on my left hand?
Compared to the P225, is there a loss of quality in the sounds or is the quality maintained? What happens is that other brands tend to sacrifice some things such as resonance, sampling, quality of the keys, etc. to reduce costs.

I’m not a fan of the piano sound, CFX sounds too bright to me and lows seem to be overwhelming comparing with highs. Is there a way to change it ?
There's an EQ function.
Yes you can edit the voice itself, or ofcourse you can just pick a different piano sample from the options and try to edit those instead until you find something that works for you.
Definitely gonna get this in like a years time when it’s actually available to get my hands on, for now I had to settle with 660 which may not be as good, but definitely an improvement on the cheap Yamaha psr423 I had been using😅

The 670 is not available here in the States. I've been waiting to buy one since January when they were announced. The latest hint is some companies now saying "perhaps some time in May"
So what other keyboards are out there, that might replace the 670? Is there ANYTHING with articulated voices and some arranger features with a graded key weight, under a thousand USD??
Whilst an outstanding instrument that I have on my shopping list (saving thousands from buying a CVP), no reviewer mentions the quality and performance of the speakers and keys. Are they acceptable or lacking when compared to a CVP?

I currently saw the data list pdf for the dgx 670 and I was wondering how many voices this keyboard actually has it says there's the regular voices legacy voices gm an xg voices and a gm 2 voices section that seems like it would come out to more than just 630 voices was just curious about this my guitar center is sold out of these right now and am not able to try one out to find out yet some info on this would be greatly appreciated

I'm very frustrated with the instrument and I worked with computer controlled synthesizers for several years. I have the style volume set to "0" and it's still too loud. Also turning the master volume down with the circular knob on the left does not drop the accompaniment volume. Is my instrument defective?
I found out it was sending many channels of MIDI to my computer which was making the uncontrollable noise.
