    Just had mine delivered from you. I purchased the Deluxe Package, which came with the DGX-670, the L300B Stand, LP-1 Triple pedal unit, piano bench and headphones. I will be installing it in my music room, which I'm in the process of creating from our 3rd bedroom. I can't wait to build it and fire it up!
    PS. Great service by the way!

      How much more does one benefit from the touch screen menu as available on the SX700 vs the menu system on the DGX670?

    I recently purchased one and I love it. Even the single output in the back was no problem. I just purchased a simple a 1/4 inch to RCA stereo adapter to plug stereo cables into. And it sounds beautiful in my studio. The sounds are so rich and nice.

    • @vitomasilotti
      @vitomasilotti 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yea, the fact that it still has only a single output was something that I found pretty disappointing, myself. (Although, the whole DGX business model brings back so many memories for me). Do you know if you can use this keyboard with a DAW never-the-less? Say, like thru an audio interface?

    Great demo and excellent coverage of some of the features! One minor mistake by Paul - at 3:48 he says "full colour touch screen". It's not a touch screen. I don't consider this a shortcoming though. At the given screen size, buttons and the jog dial are the better option. I'm sold!

    Great video! I have two more questions:
    1. Does the piano support multi-level sustain pedal, or only on/off?like if I press the pedal very lightly and very heavenly, would it make a difference?
    2. When would you estimate the DGX 680 will be released? Should I wait for the new model?
    Thank you!

    Great piano, it is to say, more an aranger keyboard which can (really) mimic a piano. I own a DGX-650 for years now and it's still holding up. I don't see any use of buying the DGX-670 since I'm not that skilled that I would use the extra features but anyone seeking an instrument for playing/learning piano but maybe also like to play with a "virtual band" or a backing track should profit from these products. You get a lot of intrument and features/oppertunities for your money! It also saves you space at home and if you buy it without the stand, you could call it "mobile" enough to take it on tour.

    Does a pa speakers change rhe sound for better than onboard speakers? Its just more volume or the definition and piano tone richness gets better with PA?i use pianoteq with hamburg steinway model d and it sounds much better specially rhe bass. Cfx bass js too metalic... Maybe good for pop but not for classical. With headphones its a little better.

  • @australier263

    This really is a lightweight mini Tyros/Genos light for everything! There is a lot of SW from the PSR Arrangers in it. Powerful sounds, good styles, good keyboard too and really well under 1000€, that's completely o.K. Onboard speakers are a bit crappy, but it sounds great in a PA! More pedal connections, e.g. for arranger start/stop, fill ins, sustain, rotary sound etc. would be very nice. Sorry, the strings and some sounds drool way too much and it's just a passive arranger part with no direct control. An interactive computer interface is possible, as well as Midi files Arrangement. But no more Midi plugs at the back, maybe to synchronize with other KB's or a foot pedal!
    USB and the minimum necessary connections complement this! Great KB, nice demo!

      It comes with a single pedal.you can add a triple-pedal unit (either the Yamaha one or a third-party) for a total of four pedals. Each pedal can be configured to control any of those features you mentioned instead of its default function.

      It only has a USB MIDI connection which makes it simple to connect to a computer, but you could optionally use a small box called a MIDI Host, that provides standard 5-pin MIDI DIN connectors.

Lets say I want to play a specific beat but I don't want the temp choice or voice choice that automatically comes up. I would like to those removed so I can set my own times and sounds. How do I turn this off. It seems that way for all choices I want to make.

    Hi, I like the DGX 670 as a piano, but I can't find information on the internet about the possibilities of using it as an input in any DAW (Ableton, Reaper, etc) through the usb-host, since it would exponentially expand its use. Please does anyone have any reference on this? The manuals and info from Yamaha do not contribute anything. It made me back to acquire it and that I can not send the midi in real time to exploit it in any DAW on PC, Thank you.

    • @JoeLinux2000
      @JoeLinux2000 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not sure. I would look at the Kawai ES120. I own a DGX-670, but combine it with Pianoteq Pro to get an acoustic piano that really pleases me. For a biginner it would be good enough unless you want an instrument that can be easily transported.

    • @glennmeader626
      @glennmeader626 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The newer DGX-670 has a much better CFX Grand piano sound, compared to the older piano sound system that is in the aging P-125. The recently released P-125a model did not get an upgraded sound, and had the USB audio feature removed!
      While the DGX-670 is way more complicated than a P-125, it is still suitable for piano beginners, because when you turn it on, it’s just a piano - you don’t need to do anything, but just start playing.

    I've had mine around 6 months now. Why are the lights red for on and green for off? Why are the lights so bright, and baly located that I can't read the text aboce the buttons? Why are the buttons a horrible rubber that attracts dust and won't clean? And why is the menu so difficult and non-intuitive to navigate? Every screen uses different buttons/wheel/cursor to move around, it's awful!! The sound, however is stunning. The keys are beautifully weighted, the functions are amazing, and it feels great to play. I wouldn't swap it for anything else, I just wish there was some effort put into the usability. I've replaced a DGX-630 with this, and the old one was much easier to use.
