I just bought one for Christmas and when I first hit that 'demo' button, I was *FLOORED!* Anyway, I think your recording is messed up. Your playing sounds fine, but the audio in this video is messing up. If it's not the video and is the keyboard and you don't hear this - you should probably get this fixed, lol!

Thank you for watching! I’m glad you’re pleased with your DGX670, it’s a fabulous piano!
Regarding the sound, I have noticed that when watching on a phone, it distorts the audio. Try using a decent speaker or headphones and you’ll find the sound of the video is perfect!

@@ConsciousKeys Seriously, I am watching on my laptop, through my Yamaha amp and Bose 301 speakers. It just sounded a li'l 'off' and 'weird!' Not to offend you, but I'm surprised no one else can hear it?
*EDIT* Now that's really strange!!! I just replayed the video and that 'weirdness' about it was gone! I wonder if it had anything to do with my internet connection at the time I watched it previously? Anyway, yeah...sounds great! I can't wait to play this well (as you!). Thanks

You are hearing a recorded piano, audio compressed, and data compressed on TH-cam, played by someone else. I've been playing piano 55 years and cannot tell if this piano will suit my needs from a TH-cam demo. The reaction from human to mechanical key mechanisms to the software interpretation of dynamics is also totally unknown. I have played many digital pianos that are simply unplayable from this alone. Expression from dynamics, sustain pedal, half pedaling, and 100s more questions. I just bought this piano this month, it is fantastic, the price has nothing to do with its quality, at any price this piano is incredible. The sound, action, reaction, pedaling, soft pedal/soft felts and the ability to make this piano sound like anything I want through extensive editing (far beyond the simple piano room) makes it a winner. Others may prefer a different action, but all pianos are different, and I now have 3 piano different actions so I can adapt to the stage piano of-the-day I perform on easier.

To record this, the USB To Host on the rear of the instrument was connected to my laptop and Logic was used to capture the audio digitally.
No processing at all was applied to the audio so therefore the sound you are hearing in this video is unchanged and very high quality. I would suggest watching the video whilst using headphones or good speakers as it shows the real quality of the sounds the instrument has to offer.

@sidterala Unfortunately, the DGX650 can only record MIDI data via the USB Host and not Audio.
Audio via USB is a feature that only the 670 model of the DGX series can do, the 650 and 660 do not have this capability.
You would need to use a separate Audio Interface such as a Yamaha AG03 and utilise the Phones/Output socket of the DGX650. This would give a very good quality recording but not quite as high quality as USB Audio because one is an analog capture and the other is digital.
Lastly, if you do wish to record Audio from the Phones/Output, I’d recommended a specific audio cable; Single Stereo 6.35 Jack to Twin Mono 6.35 Jack L & R. Hope this helps.

@@ConsciousKeys Thank you. That solution works. One last question. I love my DGX 650 but it has some limitations. I have watched all your videos and I think you might be able to help me. I would love to be able to play and record
      1. Classical Piano pieces
      2. Songs (Pop, Movie/Show themes, and Bollywood) with voices and styles.
      What keyboard do you recommend?

I'm no expert, but I believe that one shortcoming on this unit is the lack of dual 1/4" output jacks for external speakers that stage pianos would have. I wont be using it that way, so no issue for me...

Does anybody know a good alternative to the Yamaha DGX series? Because from what I can tell the DGX series has over 600 different instruments and other portable digital pianos don't offer anywhere near the level of voices? The only thing I can imagine comes close is the Casio PX560 which is no discontinued.
I'm looking for something like the Yamaha DGX 660/670 but perhaps with better speakers and a better keyboard in terms of the touch.
    Can somebody help?

Is the pedal unit form the DGX-650 compatible with this one (like it is with the 660?) I'm excited for the bluetooth and 256 polyphony count!!!
I have the DGX-650 and also have the Privia 860 (that has 256 polyphony) and I play that one more because it sounds much better... but now..... I dunno.. can't wait to compare

Debating between the 660 and 670. Is there noticeable key action difference or is the feel about the same? I've played a 660 but obviously not a 670 so I can't compare.
