i purchased the E373 to start learning the piano. I enjoyed playing with the accompaniment styles quite a lot, and somewhere along the way i developed a liking for learning classical pieces as well. At that point it became gradually apparent to me that 61 unweighted keys just wasn't enough - i simply could not develop the control and precision that only weighted keys can offer... and most of the classical pieces needed a full octave range of 88 keys. I then started looking for something with 88 weighted keys for classical pieces, but i still wanted something with quality arranger functions as well - but not way too over the top as with the likes of the Genos or the Montage which has way too many complex functions i probably wouldn't even use. Then i saw the DGX670 with all of its glorious features taken from higher-end flagship models and beautiful piano samples - it had everything i needed with 88 weighted keys and just the right level of quality, easy-to-use arranger functions (which is a significant improvement over my old E373's arranger samples). Really, it was a no-brainer purchase - best one i've ever made. Got the white variant of the DGX670 along with the dedicated stand and 3-pedal system - all of which looks reaaaaal nice at home - guests are quick to compliment it (especially the ladies ;) )
Just today I had the opportunity to lay hands on the DGX-670 and that was my impression. It was a Wow! moment. I am not a professional player, just enough to support my church's worship team. We also have a Roland Juno DS-88. Very good also,, but the DGX-670 has many basic enrichment features readily available and intuitive to get. I am happy, that without knowing, Jeremy had ranked this keyboard well on top.
I’ve had my DGX670 for almost two weeks now, upgrading from a Casiotone CT-S300 but, in a way, it feels like I have always had a DGX670. I will be celebrating my first year as a pianist on March 10th.
Okay, so I recently bought the Yamaha DGX-670 because it's the Portable Grand Piano series after saving enough money. This came after a year after my old Portable Grand Piano finally bit the dust after 10 years. It's been in 5 different houses/apartments. What I wasn't expecting was an upgrade that was seriously mind-blowing, I didn't know what I was missing out on.
The advantage of a heavier casing is the thumping sounds after pushing key down and the release does NOT make loud thumping sound. The lightweight keybaords, Studio Logic or Kurzweil and most other brands, I sent back after buying. So much thumping sound, loud, from other keyboards. The keybed in the Yamaha feels real to an acoustic and and much quieter because the keybed by Yamaha and the cabinet the keybed is in is better built. As mentioned, it is harder to carrey and if your in a band, you won't hear the thumping loud sound.
For performing, you can use a bluetooth stereo audio mixer. So you don't necessarily need left and right output. Also, I bought a portable stand with rollers and a three pedal attachment that just rests on the floor. You don't need that old-fashioned unmovable stand and hang down pedal. For gigs, you can easily roll it around. In any case, it's a great instrument.
I came back to your video regarding the DGX-670. First of all, let me say that you did the song “God Will Make a Way” justice, just beautiful and glorifying the Lord! Since watching this video the first time, l have spent many hours playing old songs from my memory and music books. For me, the BEST PIANO tones are not the CFX, but a combination of the warm piano and the sweet DX sound. The rhythm section has some great choices with something for nearly everyone ! Thx again for your feedback on the DGX-670!
Thanks Jeremy for your very informative and nicely done review of the new DGX-670. It is one of the best vids on this topic that one can currently find on internet! After my own extensive research, last week I got one of the first DGX-680s in Poland and I must say I'm really impressed by how much functionality and top quality samples Yamaha put into this instrument at such relatively low price. I had a 38-year break in playing piano after completing the elementary music school that unfortunately disheartened me from performing music. These were different times - just stiff classical repertoire, no improvisation or arrangement, merely traces of music theory and harmony laid down in an inattractive way... Now my daughter has started to learn playing piano and so she has inspired me to get back to the keyboard. DGX-670 seems to be a sweet spot for us both. Greetings and enjoy playing music!
Yes, I'm pretty sure I will buy this one soon as my main Keyboard! Since I’m not yet very skilled in playing, I‘m looking forward to learning and improving my skills.
A big thumbs up for this video! The instrument has been very well presented. To me, the major deal breaker is the lack of expandability - voice packs can’t be loaded. Also, no organ flutes. Aside from that, it took Yamaha 18 years to get the DGX to what it should have been from the get go. It’s a truly amazing offer now - a 88 key piano with modern arranger functions. And much, much cheaper than the Clavinova CVP
Got mine today 😎 The speakers and the sound from them are really good. The keyaction is very satisfying and dynamic. However - as we have a very hot and moist summer in Denmark, my finges seems to glue to the blank white keys. Some texture on the white keys would have been appropriated.
It's a good keyboard. I still have my DGX230 , 76 Key , it does have quality sound. I did carry that one around. DGX670 is cheap because it does not have sd card slot or little or no USB storage.Good thing is , if you set the left part accompaniment to 53 , then you have plenty of octaves to play on the right part of the keyboard due to 88 keys. You are unable to download any style packs on DGX670. Still outstanding keyboard is the Korg pa1000.
Good day to you. Thank you for putting a video up. As a Yamaha fan. I had an MM8 for a long time and didn't still understand how to figure out how to at least record because too many buttons. I've went to a Guitar Center and saw the Dgx 670 on display. I was curious when I've saw less buttons and was apprehensive with speakers built in, but, when I've played it, I've instantly fell in love with the sounds and how the keys felt and the beats are more modern too me compared too the MM8. If I understood the buttons on the DGX670, I can only imagine when I get thru the features. I'm getting one very soon. I'm already sold.
I am buying this specific keyboard on Amazon this weekend...since I am a long time member of Amazon Prime I get to pay for this keyboard with a $200.00 deposit before shipping and only $157.00 per month for 5 months. In my family there are tons of musicians and most are simply learners by ear and most never had any music classes or even know how to read musical notes. I am entry level as far as piano but I never put much effort into it and now that I am at that point and age in my life where I am more relaxed and settled down I will give it all I got to learn...and yes, learn by ear because in my family we don't need teachers or lessons or musical notes...we have natural talent to play instruments simply by ear and that is all we need.🎶🎹🎶😁
I have the DGX 505 . It’s 15 years old now and it still look and sounds like it did when it was new . Every key , button and dial works like new . I think it was 400 dollars when I got it new and it came with a nice wood stand. I can’t say anything bad about the dgx line . For the money they are hard to beat .
I wouldn't say it's master of none. I haven't heard anything that comes close at its price point in the US. Sure it's not absolutely premium, but it's affordable. The negative is the weight. I had a thee legged vintage Clavinova, and trust me that was difficult to move with two people.
@@JoeLinux2000 I would say it is the master of none. It isn't a stand out in functionality in any particular way. It is well rounded but not tailored to a particular task. At its price point, it can't afford to be. For everything it does, you can find better focused keyboards that are better at the task they do. Even within Yamaha. YC-88, PSR-SX600, CP-88, and P-125 all better focused devices.
next step, canabalising the p515, and the Genos for a high end solution. and the middle step based on the SX900... this would give a whole range of keyboards and allow people to upgrade
Thank you for excellent review. At 29:30 you made the keyboard sound closer to an actual acoustic guitar with your playing than I have heard anyone before. Impressive!
These have just come back in stock in the piano store up the road from my house. I’m going to go and get one before work tomorrow. I’ve been wanting the DGX660 for about 2 years, and am happy this updated model is going to be mine soon. Thanks for the review. I’ve played guitar and bass for 25 years and have always wanted to learn piano. I think this would be a great first keyboard for me.
@@JeremySee I’m home with it now, and about to open the boxes, to try it out. You’re not wrong about how heavy it is. I had to carry it up 3 flights of stairs to my apartment, and it barely fit around the corners.
Thank you very much, my church just bought new portable grand dgx 670 and I didnt know how to operate but you help me, btw your english speaking is so clear to my asian ears.l, God bless you
Just got one thanks Jeremy for the owner review. Totally agree about the weight - it is heavy but I knew that and it will not be leaving my home. Everything else is just fantastic!
Yamaha ought to release a "lite" version of those with no speakers, no wireless functions but with decent separated stereo LR output jacks. This will make it more lightweight and more suitable for live stage application.
Yes, needs a line out. Although, I think you could use USB out to a computer soundcard. Also could use a better keyboard with triple-sensor and matt key tops. Most reviewers seem immediately decide it's the best keyboard they've ever played because they're gaga over the sample quality, and a zillion extra settings which most people will never use, when it's obvious that there are shortcomings and useful features which were left out.
@@F0CKSTR0T It does have a line out, just not a dedicated one. You can set the 'Phones/Line out' jack to either headphone or line levels in the menus (IIRC).
Hi Jeremy, I was wondering if you will be doing tutorials on the functions of this keyboard. The 670 is selling like hotcakes here in the US. I bought one for my son a few weeks ago and it has been going in and out of stock at several stores. So I would imagine there are a lot of people wandering how to use all the functions. Just a suggestion. Thank you for all your great videos
@@JeremySee I agree with his statements,a more in depth demo, showing how to save your settings and recall them, would be good ,and of course more in depth features,
Thanks Jeremy for your honest and thorough review. I really think this dgx will be my next instrument, because it combines the elements of a clavinova, an arranger and a digital piano, at an affordable price. I loved the part where you warn us about how transportable it is without injuring our spinal discs, hehe. For these purposes, my PSR e463 is more practical, although I was surprised that it has the same speakers. I loved the functionalities and the look of its screen and how it looks on its pedestal with pedals. Thank you for including Invention 8 again in your harpsichord sound review and singing to us. Receive a big greeting from 🗿Chile🇨🇱
We have an occasional keyboardist at church who alternates between a couple of monster old Yamaha and Korg arranger keyboards. They both have road cases with handles on one end and casters on the other, so they're fairly easy to move around.
This thing is unbelievable! It’s quite literally a FULL BLOWN HIGH END 88-Key PROFESSIONAL ARRANGER at an insane price! Style Creator, High End Effects processing, A full blown Sequencer AND Audio recorder with Mic and Guitar inputs?! AND 256 VOICES OF POLYPHONY?! WHAT?! I mean, WOW! I can’t wait to get my hands on this thing!!!!
cool! I have heard the DGX 670 can use styles downloaded from some website and even styles from other yamaha models by using usb, something similar to expansion packs, but there is very little information about it, can you help me please?
I concur, of the 5 digital pianos i own, my dgx670 is the closest to my real piano in terms of action feel. The sound is the best of my digital ones as well.
You can even download styles. My DGX-670 came with 263 styles, but after installing a bunch of styles on it, I now have >526 styles, which is more than the PSR-SX600, Tyros5, and probably the Genos as well. However with 800 styles, I doubt I have more styles than the Genos 2.
Thanks, Jeremy. I always watch videos where the say the best things about the product. This is how every review should look and sound like. Thanks, again!
Dynamic Arranger feature is great. Harder you push the chord, more the band will accompany you with full harmony accompaniments. Before seen on Roland E-80 workstation.
Today I finally get to try a DGX-670 and P125 in a local store. The P125 has a keyboard that is not as good as the DGX-670, even though they both have GHS (Grand Hammer Standard), and I asked the Guitar sales guy and Piano sales guy at the store, and they both said they feel the DGX-670 is a better keyboard... the Roland RD-88 keyboard feel is even better, but the DGX-670 is close. The CFX sound on the DGX-670 is just beautiful, and no other pianos could match it for the few pianos I tried in the store. The Korg Kronos 2 had really really heavy keys and you kind of have to go through a "click" moment to play a note, so it felt like a heavy mouse click... (it has the same RH3 keybed as the Korg D1), but I suspect that it had a bad keyboard, perhaps abused in the store for a couple of years... but see... P125 is $700 and DGX-670 is $850, but has better sound, better keyboard, so if weight of the piano is not a concern, definitely go with DGX-670. Since I am thinking of getting a keyboard to play VST sounds, so I may still get a Roland FP-30X, FP-10 (same PHA-4 key as RD-88), or Korg D1... but setting up the VST, the computer, hook up to a speaker, is a bit of a trouble
Excellent review Jeremy! Loved the lights in the background. The DGX - 670 seems to be a really good and value for money especially since you are getting super realistic voices, well programmed styles with 13 different variations, 256 note polyphony, style and song creator options, etc. But, I feel they should'nt have compromised on the amplification.
Of all the keyboard reviewers, Jeremy See is the best! I love my DGX-670......one weird behavior, it will not sustain "hold" non-decaying sounds like strings or organ using the pedal. I contacted Yamaha and they said this is intentional to produce a natural decay......other than that. this is a wonderful instrument. Thanks Jeremy! I bought this because of you!! Cheers!
Use the middle pedal to hold string or organ tones. The right pedal will sustain but gradually decays like on an acoustic piano. It's a bit late but I hope this tip helps. Happy playing! ✌😊👍🎶🎹🎶
Thank you Jeremy! Your reviews are always thorough and tell the whole story. I intend to purchase a new piano soon. I rented a Roland FP10 for a month and am now evaluating a P125 for a month. Both are lovely instruments. However, this review has got me excited about the DGX670. My biggest concern is that the feel/touch might not be piano enough. But it seems that the keyboard has a pretty good feel. The Piano Room feature is a truly excellent feature. The many other features mean I can play both just the piano or have fun creating multi-featured arrangements. Thanks again and God bless!
Thank you for talking about the rest not supporting books, as in being not strong enough! That's a feature I just assume all digital pianos have. Now I am definitely going to focus on that in the future. God bless you 🖤
Thank you @JeremySee for a such detailed review. My sons surprised me how quickly they learned to play in a few months (thanks to one such well-known "simply" application). The current keyboard we have is the very, very old Casio CTK-631 :D . I wanted to buy a digital piano with weighted keys as soon as possible, but I wouldn't want to be minimalistic and buy a Yamaha YDP, I would like something more versatile to develop the boys' creativity (sequencer, styles). I think buying the DGX-670 will be a good choice, don't you think?
13:07 The piano room feature is amazing, but, if the speakers aren't as good the only to truly enjoy it is by headphones. I see what you mean by compromise
Hey… what would you suggest? To get this one or the p125?? Cos i just placed my p125 order. And I am a beginner-intermediate. I don’t know much of arranger functions… but maybe I can learn it? Will be great full for your advice.
This keyboard almost excites me. If they added true stereo outputs and a 5-pin MIDI In/Out jack, they'd have a winner for so many people. Of course, this type of upgrade on this might take away from other products in their lineup... It is too bad so many compnaies are shying away from the 5-Pin MIDI jacks. If memory serves, the last DGX with a 5-pin MIDI jack was the DGX500 and that was a LONG time ago. Personally, I am not sure why these companies alienate different users who would want to use this on stage or as a centerpiece of a studio that also has legacy MIDI gear still in it... I think it is a bad move on so many of their parts. Korg has done it too with the XE20 and Casio is all but gone for most of their products... now we have to buy a USB host box or host converter in order to integrate it...
I really enjoyed the beautiful song at the beginning. Nice voice and wonderful lyrics. This is a stunning instrument and if I was rolling in the Benjamins, it would definitely be on the wish list. I'm sure it is a bargain for sounds like that. Wow, Yamaha is really raising the bar.
I was eagerly waiting for your take on the DGX-670 ever since you released the first impression video and as always I must admit it was worth the wait.... For all I can say you really startled me with how you opened thevideo.. really great vocals you have got there Jeremy. Was planning to sell off my Casio PXS-3000 and getting the Yamaha DGX-670 or Roland fp-30x/60x based on how it is priced here in India but your review made it clear that DGX-670 is not something I'm looking for.... Thank you again for you in-depth and detailed reviews that you make... God bless..
If I could get one delivered to Brunei at a reasonable price, I would’ve gotten this already. Instead I got the FP-60X, which is still a great digital piano. But those arranger features looks so much fun
My DGX-650 still packs quite a punch. I'm still pretty happy with it 10+ years later. If you find a 650 or 660 on the used market, don't be scared away just because the 670 is better. The 650 and 660 are still great options. I think the built-in speakers are more than fine at home. If you are playing on stage, you should be plugged into an amp or PA system anyway. Does anyone play live gigs using the built-in speakers on their keyboard? If anything, I would have sacrificed speaker quality somewhat if it meant the keyboard weighed less and took up less depth. I have the LP-7A three-pedal unit, and it's fine, although the new design is a definite improvement, and it means you can use it on a wider variety of stands without it sliding out of place. Does it do everything I have ever wanted? No. But it does everything I need and then some. The comment about the weight is true...this is certainly not a gigging keyboard. I wish they had made it lighter and more portable. If I were in the market now, I might be inclined to buy a CK88 instead. I do definitely agree about the music stand. I broke my original one and had to buy a replacement, but that has held up fine ever since.
With separate stereo ouputs and separate inputs for expression/volume and sustain that would be a very attractive item to purchase. But those are major omissions on this model. Deal breaker. Cannot believe it. Also, don't know why all these models can't have the headphones jack on the front. Even my 25 years old PSR 520 has it, why these model don't is beyond me.
Finally you uploaded it! Actually what Yamaha did to this keyboard is great. Super Articulation, CFX Concert Grand Sound which i need, and full 88 keys, and with styles! Like a Clavinova but cheap! It's even better than SX which has horrible piano samples.
Thank you so much for your review, I have to say that bringing such features to this brand indicates that there will be an astonishing new features and specs in the upgrade for the higher end yamaha models.
Thanks for the thorough review. I've been following your videos on the DGX series. I love them! DGX 670 was really worth the price on pre-sale. It still is a good buy on a promo. As a former arranger player I love to have more arranging options than the usual Digital Pianos. It gives more fun and diverse playing options. The keybeds may not be the best at this price but a good trade-off. Sadly it was too expensive to pre-buy and import this to Iran. (Because of sanctions!) But I will keep an eye on this series when I wanted to upgrade! :)
Thank you Jeremy for the indept reviews. I'm really torn between the DGX670 and the Casio PX-S3100. How much is the DGX better in other regards to sacrifice the Casio's portability ? I'd really appreciate your view on this. I'm a DJ who is going to start learning piano.
I hear you. I was torn between the Casio and the Yamaha p515. I ended up choosing the Casio px-s3000 at the time. Better price, features and portability. Of course the downside is the relatively poor key bed, but playing piano is new for me so it serves well enough.
I have this keyboard everything is good about this keyboard. I just bought the PER EW 425 to carry outside home to perform but I don5 like speakers because it’s slightly muffled . I will use it for awhile and give it to my younger brother or nephew for free and buy one with good speakers .
Good review! Very tempting. I like the 88 key arranger but not the weight. The base / drum arranger function makes it not cheesy and much more useable for playing at convalescent homes and livingroom and small church worship. You made it sound really good. I'm 64 and having a harder time carrying my Yamaha Tyros5. I have been saving up for a Genos since it is 10 lbs lighter. I think I'll wait for the next version of Genos and hope it's not out of my price range. Thanks for the brake down!
You can download Tyros5 styles on your DGX-670 like I did and you'll more than double your style count. I have more than 540 styles on my DGX-670 now that I've downloaded all those styles.
This would be a great upgrade of a PSR-EW425 if you want/need 88 weighted keys, albeit, not as good as the newer key action systems you mentioned, though it may not be an issue for players such as myself, but the glaring drawback is the amplified speakers in comparison to those on the PSR-EW425. The color display, piano room and arranger features on the display is a plus. Also, when not needed, I like working with good quality microphones with the ¼" jacks. Of course, you could get both ¼" and XLR cables if you want to use the same microphone. I guess this piano was not designed and intended for gigging and portability. Again, you always close each video doing well to help viewers to consider all the features, price, playability and other important factors to help them to decide if each keyboard would be a suitable choice to purchase for them.
Thank you for the review, Jeremy! Could you , please, make another one showing how the piano works on a DAW? does it transfer audio via USB without problems? thanks.
Hey, I love your videos being a lifelong guitar player, the keyboard world is new and it’s very helpful to have guys like you catch me up to speed on some of these things, I bought the DGX 660 then the 670,, and I love it my only complaint is the keyboard bedfeels like it’s wearing seems louder physically than it did when it was new, the keys are a little wobbly and they have a clicking sound as you’re playing if your volume is low, you can hear the keys rattling as you’re playing,, very disappointing

However - as we have a very hot and moist summer in Denmark, my finges seems to glue to the blank white keys.
Some texture on the white keys would have been appropriated.
Will I be able to play using a sustain pedal
O DGX é um ótimo instrumento, mas prefiro o PX 560 da Casio, com muitos recursos e teclas texturizadas, como em um piano acústico.
Jeremy, thank you for an excellent review! I purchased my DGX-670 today, based largely on your review. Thanks again.
Great review. The DGX-670 pretty much sounds like a jack of all trades, master of none keyboard. That's why I like it.
Thank you for watching that far into the video. 😍 I appreciate it.
I wouldn't say it's master of none. I haven't heard anything that comes close at its price point in the US. Sure it's not absolutely premium, but it's affordable. The negative is the weight. I had a thee legged vintage Clavinova, and trust me that was difficult to move with two people.
@@JoeLinux2000
I would say it is the master of none.
If you can think it, it will happen.
Although I am not a piano player, your review is so detailed !!! Congratulations !! Thank you very much !!
It just amaze me when it has 3 traditional pedals that only available in the clavinova series and it has arranger keyboard too
WOAHH
Thank you for excellent review. At 29:30 you made the keyboard sound closer to an actual acoustic guitar with your playing than I have heard anyone before. Impressive!
These have just come back in stock in the piano store up the road from my house.
I’m going to go and get one before work tomorrow. I’ve been wanting the DGX660 for about 2 years, and am happy this updated model is going to be mine soon. Thanks for the review. I’ve played guitar and bass for 25 years and have always wanted to learn piano. I think this would be a great first keyboard for me.
Great choice!
Great choice. Have fun buddy! ❤️
I like when you worship with your instrument.. so nice.. Waiting for Roland Ex50 review
@@acoustic61Wow no line out is such an incredible oversight... a digital piano and there's no real way to record.
@@F0CKSTR0T It does have a line out, just not a dedicated one. You can set the 'Phones/Line out' jack to either headphone or line levels in the menus (IIRC).
Love your singing voice Jeremy!!!!😀 I love the piano 🎹!!!!!
Thank you for your kind compliments.
I will most certainly when time permits. I'm happy to help!
Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts.
Do you still play the e463 much? What about the portability issue with the dgx670?
Thank you Jeremy for your professional and thorough evaluations. It makes making a good decision for most of us an easy go.
John
We have an occasional keyboardist at church who alternates between a couple of monster old Yamaha and Korg arranger keyboards. They both have road cases with handles on one end and casters on the other, so they're fairly easy to move around.
Yamaha calls it a portable grand, because normally you have to hire a piano moving company to move a grand piano.
Yup! If you see it that way. 😁
Just remember to renew your gym membership before taking out of your home.
@@mishafrog8786 try carrying around a "portable " kawai mp11se ... than this is very light....😂
It’s portable if you have a gang of Roadies…lol😂 still a great instrument though❤
The first 2 are some of my very most favorite songs - thank you, Jeremy
What’s the song he plays ? Without talking
cool! I have heard the DGX 670 can use styles downloaded from some website and even styles from other yamaha models by using usb, something similar to expansion packs, but there is very little information about it, can you help me please?
They should have called it DGX 700 series. This is such a big revision!
@Osiris Kanji maybe you should learn to edit sound, mine sounds great.
@Osiris Kanji no Idea what your talking about, the dgx-670 sounds more clear and detailed.
Guess it's personal taste, which I respect.
Far the best explanation of this piano for now. Waiting for your comparision with the others similar. Good work, you're the top. JP
Hey, plz can you make a video showing the process you used , step by step ….how you did the downloading of styles on your DGX670, thanks
Thanks, Jeremy. I always watch videos where the say the best things about the product. This is how every review should look and sound like. Thanks, again!
Glad it was helpful! Music shop videos have to say only the good things if they don't want to anger the brand. 😉
Love the song and you play beautifully 💞😘
Ahh!! Love your intro
Dynamic Arranger feature is great. Harder you push the chord, more the band will accompany you with full harmony accompaniments. Before seen on Roland E-80 workstation.
Indeed!
Could listen to this all day so soft and soothing
Excellent review Jeremy! Loved the lights in the background. The DGX - 670 seems to be a really good and value for money especially since you are getting super realistic voices, well programmed styles with 13 different variations, 256 note polyphony, style and song creator options, etc. But, I feel they should'nt have compromised on the amplification.
Thank you for your kind words. Yamaha did have to get this to $799. 😉
@@JeremySee They sell them to dealers for half that amount.
Cheers!
Looks like you are havin' a ball of a time! 😉
Use the middle pedal to hold string or organ tones. The right pedal will sustain but gradually decays like on an acoustic piano. It's a bit late but I hope this tip helps. Happy playing! ✌😊👍🎶🎹🎶
Your reviews are so helpful to me. Thank you, Jeremy.
It's the exact same touch as the P125. Not perfect but certainly better than Roland's actiob5
@@piadas804 Thank You
Thank you for talking about the rest not supporting books, as in being not strong enough! That's a feature I just assume all digital pianos have. Now I am definitely going to focus on that in the future. God bless you 🖤
The Piano Room! Love your review, very nicely detailed. Many thanks!
Just got my DGX670. Awesome touch! Awesome sound! Way better than the previous model dgx660. I didn't get the pedal and stand though..
Lucky you! Have fun.
13:07 The piano room feature is amazing, but, if the speakers aren't as good the only to truly enjoy it is by headphones. I see what you mean by compromise
Looks awesome! I just bought a P-125. Didn't know they had finally upgraded the DGX-660. This will be my next keyboard!
Yup. 5 DIN MIDI is extinct on most boards under $1K except controllers.
Yamaha can only do this with their cost efficiencies and economy of scale. I doubt anyone else can come close to this for a few years.
God bless..
Thank you for your kind words.
@@JeremySee your welcome Jeremy 😊
@@anshumanbose7430 why isn’t it the one you are looking for
The best keyboard you can get for that price range, hands down. I own it. Love it!!
If I could get one delivered to Brunei at a reasonable price, I would’ve gotten this already. Instead I got the FP-60X, which is still a great digital piano. But those arranger features looks so much fun
Yup! If you only use it to play piano, the FP-60X has a better key action.
@@JeremySee Thanks
@@JeremySee but the action on this keyboard is pretty good imho.
I guess they didn't put the headphones jack in front because it also functions as an audio output jack.
Excellent review. Thanks Jeremy. I've been happy with my Korg PA900 but need a 'piano'. This thorough review has convinced me to go Yamaha DGX-670.
Jesus is so awesome, god bless you. Oh and love your videos too.
💯
Jesus has a dgx too? Can he do a divine review?😉
From the moment I saw this at NAMM I was floored. For the price there is nothing even in the realm of features AND sound available on the market.
There's won't be competition for a while.... 😉
Your reviews are always honest and detailed. Love from India.
Finally you uploaded it! Actually what Yamaha did to this keyboard is great. Super Articulation, CFX Concert Grand Sound which i need, and full 88 keys, and with styles! Like a Clavinova but cheap! It's even better than SX which has horrible piano samples.
Indeed! CFX samples for a few hundred dollars!
And the thousand dollar keyboards SX dosent have it.
I almost got a clarinova, this is on order your review is great
Really God will make a way ur voice is amazing praise God 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Thank you so much for your review, I have to say that bringing such features to this brand indicates that there will be an astonishing new features and specs in the upgrade for the higher end yamaha models.
Can't wait to see what the E473 brings to the table.
God will bless you sir 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Arrgh! I've pre-ordered this already and now every video I watch is torture! I can't wait!!! :)
Great choice! Have fun.
Thank you for the thorough review. Extremely helpful. Great playing as well!
A very well thought out and presented review
Great review, Jeremy. I just upgraded my PSR 363 to 373, & now after this, I think my trusty DGX 650’s days are numbered 🤣🤣!
The pipes are calling! 😉
Keep your dgx-650 like I do, unless you really want to use a microphone on the piano ;-)
(Because of sanctions!)
But I will keep an eye on this series when I wanted to upgrade! :)
Off topic, but the US should stay out of Iran's business. It's completely unjustified.
@@JoeLinux2000 Thanks for the support.🙏 You tell them. Whatever US politicians do directly and only affect normal Iranian citizens :(
Thank you Jeremy for the indept reviews.
Yes! He will make a way
Good review!
Thanks for sharing.😍
Did you ever get a Genos ? How important are Style Packs for you?
As a music producer that want to learn to play piano, I think this one will fit my needs. Sounds great!
Jeremy, such fantastic videos. Well done mate, so informative.
Andy
You can download Tyros5 styles on your DGX-670 like I did and you'll more than double your style count. I have more than 540 styles on my DGX-670 now that I've downloaded all those styles.
Definitely a good in-depth review but to say the DGX670 is a jack of all trades master of none is preposterous
Thank you definitely help me learn my dgx670
Great video! Most demos gloss over, if not completely skip, the rhythm functions, which are a key feature to me.
Can you please compare this with the new Roland fp-30x!!
FP30X is closer to the P125 than this. This isn’t necessarily better, but it has way more features than the Roland.
Thank you for the review, Jeremy! Could you , please, make another one showing how the piano works on a DAW? does it transfer audio via USB without problems? thanks.
Yes please
Hey, I love your videos being a lifelong guitar player, the keyboard world is new and it’s very helpful to have guys like you catch me up to speed on some of these things, I bought the DGX 660 then the 670,, and I love it my only complaint is the keyboard bedfeels like it’s wearing seems louder physically than it did when it was new, the keys are a little wobbly and they have a clicking sound as you’re playing if your volume is low, you can hear the keys rattling as you’re playing,, very disappointing

nice upgrade on the sounds..and PLENTY of buttons!
Do you still feel this way? Is there a new favorite?
Still the biggest bang for the buck
