Unbelievable amount of detail. It's a 40min clip but you must be spent days and weeks getting this analysed. Amazing job Dan.
You made a Seminar m8 its not just a vid.The level of work for this done is only equal to the greatness of this outstanding masterpiece.Think Keenan gonna love this
I visit this video yearly cause I forget some details. One of my favorite breakdowns of all time
Thanks, I'm watching this video for the 18th time and I appreciate all the Keenan's techniques and works but I appreciate at the same level the work you have done.
The quality of your research, analysis, is really helpful for every practionner in BJJ.
Thanks M. Lukehart.
Brea Jiu-Jitsu I'm white belt and I started playing the same game a few months ago, i saw my guard and overall jiujitsu get better everyday. Thank's a lot !!!
Great amazing beautiful work! i gonna watch it a thousand times!
I really like how you structured this - you broke down the moves in discrete blocks and then stepped back and noted how they all inter-relate and link to the wider system that he is using against his opponents. Very much appreciated.
Dude this was awesome simply loved it, thank you so much.
Excellent job of breaking down Keenan's badass guard. Certainly made me appreciate his skill even more. Thanks.
Amazing video. Awesome job breaking it down, it really helps guard players develop their game to watch and understand Keenan.
what a great breakdown. i appreciate you posting this
Man got to admit you did an amazing breakdown, thanks a lot.
Very nice vid. Keep posting videos like this!
Awesome video thank you for putting in the time and effort to create it. This is an example of why the internet is the single best invention ever!
Great breakdown, thank you! Very eye-opening, great job, thank you for sharing!
Amazing breakdown. Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you doing this, it takes a lot of time to do. I recently have become interested in spider guard and watching Keenan use his seemed like a good way to learn it more quickly/properly. (I dont know Keenan, never met him, He seems very likeable and his close relationship with his dad/ family tells me he is quality person, thats great, bjj for me is as much about relationships as it is learning/ fighting).... Lucky for me YOU made this video, the details are so nice,,,, Merry Christmas!
Great job man. Would like to see another your works. Subscribed!
All of the lapel stuff is shown on Cobrinah's DVDs

Thank you so much for this! I'm a lanky guy so I watch Keenan's game very closely for stuff I can use. This video is a huge help.

Wow 40 minutes of this. Watched it all. I daresay the production quality, pacing, and analysis are as good, if not better than scout.
You are the MAN Keenan! Thanks

"...attack with any girps" thanks for putting this together.
just great
Thanks!
AWESOME
This coupled with Adem Redzovic's Open Guard Principles is a game changer.
The second best after BJJ Scout...unless he is BJJ Scout (like I once red on the web 😆). Been a fan since Dan's first videos (Roger Gracie) and the "grappling basics" site! Thanks 🔝🔝🔝
Unreal breakdown. Don't try to take it all in at once .. You need months to really take this breakdown in.
I love how the people watching the phenomenal spider scissor react as if they were watching paint dry.
Great job man, have you thought of doing one for CaioTerra?
no audio or am i doin somethin wrong?
Fucking gold. Thanks mate,God bless you
Can anyone breakdown a guy doing such a great vid ?! Thanks so much

@Brea Jiu-Jitsu Is Spider Guard effective for shorter people also?
I know you didn't ask me, but - the short answer is yes. The problem is that your question is underdeveloped. All guards are tools to be used for specific purposes - or specific situations, with specific goals and objectives for different body types. It's like asking if a hammer is a good tool (of course it is)... The problem is that when you only have a hammer, all of your problems start looking like nails. There are better ways to drill a hole, or screw a bolt, or tighten a nut. Namaste.
Isn't that leandro lo sweep really risky? it feels like you're giving them the ankle lock
My favorite playlist to listen to while watching this soundcloud.com/lone-1
Awesome video!
wow fits perfectly! thanks
7 = sweep
This is far more aggresive game than his lapel game. I think, if he had stayed with this game( spider open guard type) he would have had at least one world championship. This is only my thoughts but with great spider you can win everything ( Romulo, Langhi)
yeah he sold out, he made tons of money of lapel guard tho. But lapel guard is kinda iffy.
Is it me?
I wonder how that type of game is affecting your lower back in the long run.
find Budo Jake.
why do you break a berimbolo down in here in such detail?
that was not part of the guard, you could just have said berimbolo. . . pretty sure we all know how it works by now
what the (y)
Hard to read and watch.
Great job man, have you thought of doing one for CaioTerra?
