Nah because then people will just try to get advantages, advantages are just there to prevent a draw not decide a winner
Abu Dhabi Jiu Jitsu does that. An advantage equals 1 point. I still prefer the IBJJF ruleset.
Ya meregali got 10 adv. points but lost to Keenans measly 2 pts with a penalty. And clearly meregali was controlling the majority of the fight and had gone for far more submissions. It is what it is but I know both guys knew that meregali was superior even if he technically lost

Pela regra que só estimula amarração deu Kenan pela essência do que verdadeiramente o Jiu Jitsu enquanto arte marcial deu Nicolas de lavada.
A IBJJF tem que mexer nisso rápido criando um sistema que priorize a combatividade.
O Keenan não luta pra ganhar ele luta pra anular os adversários.
Foi a mesma coisa quando o Meregali ganhou do Lo em 2017. Lo fez umas 6 vantagens e o Meregali 2.

16:38 referee wrongly give Meregali 2 points (there was no guard in the beggining of the movement), Meregali saw it. Probably, referees in the corner take the points off. In the final of the match, Meregali thought he won. Also, he should have stop the fight to adjust Keenan's pants. Meregali couldn't hold on Keenan's pants and endup being sweeped. And also also, referee gave a lot of underserved advantages to Meregali. The triangle wasn't near to be a concern and he got and advantage. Poor job.
Referees can give advantage points every so often to the player if he's continously controlling the play and hunting for submissions

fora que no final ao meu entender o nicholas chama pra guarda antes do keenan, logo em seguida ele sobe. deveriam ter considerado os dois pontos da raspagem pro Nicholas. não foi um chamada de guarda dupla. Nicholas chamou antes (16:15)

Probably it was a technical issue, cuz the ref was giving information about the fight
The timer hadnt been started agian after one of the stoppages so they had to decide how much time to put on the clock

That almost looked like a typical Miyao match; nothing but ASS.....however both guys have elite level guards which explains the defensice nature of the fight. Technical nonetheless.
