I just got a new ryzen alien desktop and got the latest alienware keyboard and with the alienware customizable screen that comes pre installed with my machine it also makes the accessories easy to customize under the same customizable feature pre-built into the computer. The only items that is not alienware I'm using is an older mouse and my moniter I'm also getting a new headset that being said. With me having alienware I was 100% sold on getting the newest alienware mouse and headset but after watching some different wow players talk mice I do not see anyone even reccomend the alienware mice or headsets, in my case beings I did go alienware with my desktop and keyboard what do you think I should do I've played wow since 05 and this is by far the most expensive gaming system I've ever gotten. Side note I only play wow on my computer I see mainly the naga/corsair/logitech and a couple other mouses on almost all videos. The alienware mouse is around 130 I believe which is slot higher then alot of MMO mice same with the headset. I know it's preference but prior to investing 300 into a mouse and headset I don't want to get a set that isn't that great for wow. I also main a druid and hunter but I have all classes maxed. Unfortunately I haven't gotten to play drsgonflight alot due to moving and getting my new system so I currently am working on getting all my classes leveled to dragonflights max level Please let me know in a non bias opinion what you think would he the best route considering what I'm currently playing with. Ty
I customize the spell ui to match the mouse. Like 3X4 grids, that are oriented in the same way the mouse is layed out. I also have a mmo mouse with 16 side buttons(red dragon) and can run 4x4 grids.
I must give you a like for this vid tbh, great explanation imo, I'd like to see another guide for this mouse from a dps point of view. great content keep it up
Oh, that's a cool guide. I just got Naga V2 Pro and came here to see recommendations, but you should mention resto druid in the video title too, there are quite nice tips for resto druids tbh. Maybe add one more pipe | Resto druid example or whatsoever. Btw, I bound the side keys as Function keys, so I can heal without restricting and overriding my actual keybindings, kinda. But as you admit, it depends on muscle memory and ppl's preferences.
Returning player from Legion, I'm gonna switch from main DPS to healing, I found as a healer you have way more spell to use compare to DPS, I'm kinda running out of hotkeys to put my spell, so I am thinking getting a mmo mouse. But I always think I will misclick the buttons with my thumb, how often you find yourself doing that? How long did it took you to get use to it?
Welcome the the light side! So I don’t remember exactly how long it took to get used to it but I’d say a week or so. I remember just adding a few binds to it to start and grow from there. I’m still constantly changing binds based off feel and fights. The only time I’ve hit buttons by mistake is because of that.
I’ve tried going from clique to stock ui with click casting enabled using the same mods and whatnot. Was sick of the raid frames having errors and fucking up mid pull and needing to /reset. Guess we’ll find out if it’s dumb tomorrow 😂 otherwise re-enable clique again it is. Have you tried this?
If i am understanding you correctly...I use ElvUI+clique and have for 10 yeasr or so with none of these issues you are describing...i wonder if you have an add on conflict?
I have never had a MMO mouse, I use numpad 1-0 and . as well as use control numpad 1-0 and 1 and then Ins/Del,Home/End,Pgup/Pgdn combined with control, shift, control-shift and other buttons like \ and F9-12 for less important stuff. That covers about 39 buttons and it's amazing.
I to own & enjoy using the G600 but the only problems I've been experiencing lately are the keybinding issues. For example lets say place "F1" on the number one spot on my mouse via G-Hub. When I go to keybind an ability [tried EvlUI, Bartender, Dominoes] it would show the "number 1" with the "F1". There are days when things are perfect and like to today nothing I can do will solve this. Have you come across this issue?
@@Ridingthewaves305 oh i don't pvp at all so unfortunately i dont have any recommendations :( I use vudho/elvui/clique to heal and tab/click enemies to dps.
I’ve played with a mmo mouse since mists, they are great I just bind everything to the buttons, with ctrl and alt modifiers and that’s usually enough for most classes! Great for pvp
Is it possible to separate your right number keypad numbers from your main keyboard numbers?? I'm trying to bind this redragon mouse but everytime I hit a number pad number it just counts as my regular number key aka numpad 1 is still just my normal number 1. Not sure what i'm missing here, first time doing this
No, that is how it is supposed to work i believe. You then map your abilities with your mouse buttons. Not sure about red dragon but it may have software you can custom change them to any key you want.
Sht man I been playing wow on and off for atleast TBC and I just last week got an MMO mouse, I’m so used of just using the keyboard all I have is my mount on 1 of the 12 buttons on the mouse 😂
Great Video…just throwing this out there….had a G600..wasn’t my fave…had like 3 Razor Nagas…all died….tried a cheap alternative off of Amazon the Utech smart…sounds goofy as can be, but has been the most durable and reliable mmo mouse I have ever used…all for $30. Just saying if you are interested in trying an mmo mouse but not sure you want to shell out $60-$100 bucks on a mouse…this might be a great budget option to get you in the door.
Right on. I've heard of the Naga's breaking all the time so i've stayed away. A good buddy of mine also swears by the Utech smart. I'm looking at that and the SteelSeries one! The g600 is getting kind of old and without a refresh coming up its maybe time to replace with something wireless and more modern.
The G600 has more Buttons but to press them you need to use your Thumb to press all Buttons I assume? If you navigate your Thump to the right Button it needs additional Time that could make a difference in certeain situations. Because of this I preferre the G502, this Mouse has only 5 Buttons at the Side but they arrange in a way to access them also with the Finger you use for the left Mouse Button. The chance to click the wrong Button is also smaller then with the G600.
*Unpopular opinion* : these mice offer versatility, but not necessarily better gameplay. *Pros* : - extra buttons. - can cast spells with left and right hand simultaneously. - good for those with hand injuries/traumas, suffering from physical disability, etc. - good if you are having a snack or your hand is wandering some place. - sync well with alt, shift, and ctrl modifiers. - especially good for healers as side buttons are ideal for target macros. *Cons* : - extra buttons may sound fun, but can get overwhelming and confusing. - probably the worst one of the lot, you are using only your thumb to maneuver throughout a set of miniscule 12 grid-keys. - Overworked thumb, and may accidently trigger neighboring key. - thumb does not offer speed reactions of a five-fingers traditional keyboard. - Keyboards offer larger, firmer, and faster keystrokes. *Conclusion* : MMO mice are mostly controversial, offering game-changing attributes to some, while reigning havoc to others. My two cents? Get one only if you can afford it. For the most part, they are overhyped marketized products, but can fill a nice niche. A luxury item.
You can actually bind shift alt and ctrl to the mouse buttons and use them from your mouse with the thumb and have access to modifiers without any stress on the fingers
I just choose a less button clutter class to avoid having to get an MMO mouse since I can't go back to anything heavier then Logitech Pro X Superlight after being spoiled :P
Did this help you move over to an MMO Mouse?!
