  • You will love this MOGO CHIPS MASALA RECIPE || These Yuca (or Cassava) Fries are AMAZING!
In this video, we show you how to make Mogo Chips Masala. These Mogo (also known as cassava or yuca) fries are tangy with a hint of spice and coated in a luscious tomato sauce and are so easy to make. They are absolutely delicious at any time of the day and when you see the final result in the video we are sure you will know how mouthwatering they are!
To make the Mogo Chips Masala you will need:
500g cassava (also called yuca, mogo, mihogo or sagu) boiled in saltwater and then deep-fried.
    1/2 finely chopped red onion
    2 tbs oil
    1 tbs grated ginger
    1 tbs grated garlic
    1 tsp cumin powder
    1 tsp paprika
    1/4 tsp black pepper
    1/2 tsp chaat masala (optional)
    4 to 6 tbs ketchup
optional: 1 to 2 tbs chili sauce of your choice (we used chili sauce but you can also use chili garlic sauce)
    2 tsp white vinegar
    salt to taste
    handful fresh coriander
    fresh lemon or lime
garnish with chopped red onion, coriander and slices of lime!
Voila! Enjoy your Easy Mogo Chips Masala Recipe with some BBQ chicken, or even just devour them on their own!
This recipe is a variation of our Kenyan Chips Masala recipe (made using potato chips) but instead, we use cassava. You can find our Kenyan Chips Masala recipe here: • Kenyan Chips Masala - ...
Masala chips are very popular in Swahili cuisine (Kenya and Tanzania), as well as in parts of India. Yuca is also a very popular vegetable in many countries around the world including Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela, Columbia and other South American countries.
We hope you give this delicious Mogo recipe a try and let us know in the comments how you found it!

I have never tried Mogo chips before but this looks really Delish and appetizing! Being a huge Spicy lover, I really wanna give this a try! But not sure if I can get Mogo Chips in my country, Can I try this recipe with Potato Chips instead? The recipe is just *Splendid!!*

Thank you so much 😊 Yes, absolutely! In fact, the original recipe we made a few months back was with potato chips which we coated in the same masala. It is really delicious and I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
